I have 2 G5 that I was going to Hackintosh for Logic. Wanted to run VSTs and tools on one and Logic on the other connected via MIDI. From what I’ve previously read this is 1000% feasible. Thoughts? Do you believe this would is doable with 2 Mac Mini’s? The M1 Mini is cheap relatively cheap vs purchasing all of the components. Believe if I separate the load it would be work perfect and not run out of cache regardless.
Do you mean you have two Apple G5 towers that you want to split this way? It's theoretically doable but I would think very cumbersome. An M1 mini will outperform that setup easily, and you won't have to worry about the MIDI layer between.
