Dave's is sweet *for bread.* but it isn't even close to "candy sweet." That's not only an exaggeration, but an extreme one. "Good Seed" is their sweetest by far, but even that doesn't even approach within a mile of candy sweet.
Dave's is not as healthy as Ezekiel or something, but it's better, in some cases orders of magnitude better, than almost all of the stuff you'll find in the bread isle of most grocery stores. If you like Ezekiel's, then by all means. It may grow on you the more you eat it. I would never claim that it isn't somewhat healthier than Dave's. Personally I'm happy to embrace moderation between healthy and flavorful.

    • @AttaBoyCowBoyHealth

Yes!! Everything is turned into glucose, so we can use it to make energy for the body, whether it's a candy bar or a leaf of lettuce. Wheat, whole grain white, all bread with flour make more sugar. Flourless bread will increase it less. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! I hope you found it helpful/entertaining. There is no diet that is a panacea for illness and disease and no diet is a meaningful guarantor of longevity. People need calories from somewhere, at least 2000 calories daily for most and possibly more, depending upon age, gender, and activity. Breads such as Dave’s Killer Bread can be part of a healthy diet and help provide the calories and nutrients necessary to sustain life.
If you look at the 50 oldest people currently alive, they have all eaten different diets. The one constant is gender. All 50 are women. Genetics, in my opinion, determine one’s ability to avoid disease and live a long life more than diet. The most important thing is to maintain a normal BMI and avoid macronutrient and micronutrient deficiencies.
People over-complicate diet for clout and so they can count the cash in their pockets. Others acquiesce to dietary advice due to ignorance and fear.
