I bought this monitor because of this review i saw about half a year ago and I stumbled up on it today, it's a great monitor, specially worth it if you are going VESA mount because a lot of models I saw that were more expensive had similar or worse data on Rtings with only the stand being better. Some even more expensive had HDR like the optix with quantum dot but a lot of reviews say colors just get over-saturated so it really isn't worth it. Want something good for the buck that's functional and for the price almost perfect, this is the one (at least a heavy contender). You can even set it to 120Hz and with Nvidia Control Panel it allows you to set it to 10bit instead of 8bit, it really makes a difference with color gradient which makes images, videos and games look so much better. it's 8bit @165hz and 10bit @≤120hz. Great review! I have this monitor and I'm really happy with it, but I've found a quirk with it, and that's that the "Normal" color temperature is actually equivalent to turning the blue and green up all the way but the red not quite all the way up. MSI's own ICC profile clearly expects you to use the "Normal" color temperature and thus overcompensates for the turned down reds, resulting in a lower contrast ratio when using their color profile. My question is, did you use a custom color temperature with all channels turned to 100 when calibrating the monitor? I'm thinking both for the contrast ratio measurement and the ICC profile
Been using it on my series s at first I was frustrated cause I couldn’t figure out the monitor settings but once I got ahold of the native 120hz my oh my what a game changer for such a reasonable cheap price!
