So when you're going down the road and you step on the pedal and the car goes, and you get that pulsation feel, probably needs new brakes. They're definitely warped or overheated or something. Another indication would be a loud squeak. You can step on the pedal, start squeaking really loud.
Another indication would be a squeak happens when you let off the pedal. There are special tabs on some brake pads. They're called squealer tabs. And when you let off that pressure, those pads dig right into the rotor in sitting there, telling you, Hey, I'm too low.
It's time to replace me. Another big indication is a ton of brake dust. When you start seeing a ton of brake dust and your wheels getting all orange and brown, time to get them checked out because that's all that break material from your pads that's going everywhere and not staying right where it needs to be.
