That's a nice clean rc/work area. Mine are all over the place in my house. Mostly in my garage. The tires look nice. I put some Redcat KAIJU tires on my maxx and they fit perfectly 👍.
Great video,i just upgraded my suspension arms and thinking about to change the tires until i watched this,,it Looks a Lot Better, thanks a lot Jason for sharing,
Got a set of these and they aren't great on loose surfaces and soft snow. They are really geared toward hard packed surfaces, grass, even pavement, etc. The sledgehammers that come with the widemaxx bite so much better on snow and ice anyway.
Thank you for your help on deciding if l want an orange one vs- green one. I was leaning towards a green one. But not sure about the orange. But I'm going to stick to my first choice
Chassis slap is not a bad thing all race buggy have chassis slap it stops other parts from breaking the chassis are taking the main impact down the whole length of the truck it sounds bad but its not.
he is really turned off by the maxx. he said it was underpowered? si he put a castle system in there, and it looks slower than my stock one. He must have had it stuck on training mode? it screwed me up, but i super doubt he forgot to turn off training mode. but his was realllly slow, i cant keep mine on 4 wheels! haha I agree. I saw the orange, i think its cool
Did you have an issue with the screws not tightening the hub to the wheel? I have the hub flush against the wheel and screws in, but they don't tighten and just spin. Almost as if the screws are not wide enough.
Do you recommend Trencher PL or non PL for E Revo 2.0? I currently have non belted Badlands and the balloon like crazy on grass. I don't see how these are popular with E Revo owners.
I have a question and maybe you can give me some advice. I've got an E-Revo 2.0, Brushless E-Maxx, and a Summit. Well I'm running the Pro-Line Super Swampers on my Summit,Sweep Rc Terrain Crushers on my E-Maxx, and have my E-Revo as a Rat Rod street basher at the moment so I'm running Pro-Line Road Rages on it. But now I'm looking to feed my tire/wheel addiction once again, but I'm looking for a tire/wheel that would be versatile on either of my trucks not to mention look great on it as well. I was wanting the belted Trenchers but have heard they're blowing up stock motors and causing high temps like crazy,so I started looking at Trencher LP's,Trencher X's,and the MotoX inspired Badlands. Which do you think would be the best all around Basher tire for my trucks? I'm happy with the Super Swampers on my Summit at the moment so mainly they'll either be on my E-Maxx or my E-Revo. Any advice or tips would be highly appreciated!
Hey 👋 Jason, I have the same set of wheels really like them. how is your Servo holding up with your motor & esc setup?.. I don’t really like stock servo it gave me problems when upgraded tires As I expected. I choose to upgrade servo with heavy duty 2085x Traxxas servo and could not be happier night and day. Really can’t believe this servo does not come standard out the box .
Hey Jerry, I put the PL 3.8 belted trenchers on my maxx and you'll want to change your gearing because the heating is def an issue with stock gearing. I changed my spur to a 46 tooth and they opinion to 20 and removed the pin, because it doesn't work with this gearing, but this means you have to really dial in your back lash to get the gear mesh just right. I get quick excelleration and about 40-42mph with 4s, which is plenty fast for me. Hope that helps.
I wanted to ask you what you think of the X maxx 8s versus the losi dbxlE-2.0?I know you have both of them and I wanted to ask about the losi.I have the x maxx and I was looking at the losi as a second truck.I also see that you have tried a lot of gas trucks.I was thinking of getting a 1/5 gas truck just not sure what is the best truck. You have both positive and negative reviews online for various models of gas trucks.Thanks.
I didn’t enjoy the dbxle. I found them under powered which made them not a lot of fun to drive. I’ve had two and sold them both after the first few runs. The losi 5ive T is one of the best 1/5 you buy. It is rough as nails and handles amazingly. It is on the heavy side though. For me I still enjoy the hpi baja the most. The best power to weight ratio out of all the 1/5 scales.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of electric 1/5 scale 8s trucks to chose from. It's either the x maxx, kraton or the dbxle. Most of the 1/5 scale trucks are gas
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs thanks Jason, ill take a look. Great video. Ive bought an Arrma Big Rock and want to put some PL Trenchers on there. I currently have 14mm Hex so what exactly do I need to fit these 17mm wheels?
Do u have any videos driving these upgraded vehicles or you just put all the time and money in them and set them on display 🤷♂️ BTW you do phenomenal work but where's the enjoyment of driving these???
Yes I have a few running videos. But when I’m out I much prefer to run the truck than make videos. I use to have a go pro mounted to my head and it wasn’t very comfortable. So I will go out and take a few clips, and then remove the camera and enjoy.
i put 2.8 belted trencher on my 3s Arrma granite, she would not wheelie anymore. they are great for high speed dirt and pavement very stable, and my granite didnt flip over anymore, she just drifted and spin out.i would not recommend for grass the traction was awful. these tire are very heavy feel like twice the weight of stock.

I just ordered my truck today cant wait to run it!!

Color is just fine in person and on cam😁

Wow your work area looks awesome so clean and tiddy!
Always enjoy your content especially the stills...thanks mate..
Thanks.

I bought the badlands can’t wait to put them on when my widemax kit comes in enjoy the ride👊🏾✌🏽
Gerald Hinton do you have a link for them. How much were they
Wow perfect ❤️👍. I bet it helps with the massive chassis slap too.
Chassis slap is not a bad thing all race buggy have chassis slap it stops other parts from breaking the chassis are taking the main impact down the whole length of the truck it sounds bad but its not.
The MAXX is such a beast
They look great. I just got my old Emaxx off the shelf to play with, I might get a set of these!!!
Getting those tires my self. And the orange looks great in person, so not sure what ur on about there. Different taste I guess :)

Did you ever get these tires, and if so, how do you like them?
There a good street dirt tire . The badlands wear faster on street and less grip and are a monster in dirt. Good pick for all around ripping.
planning on buying this wheels for my Arrma Typon
To big use 2.8 belted Trenchers
Damn, those pl look fantastic on the maxx. I wonder how they would look on my kraton 🤔
Small.
Jason Perrin do you have the link for them? How much were they
Hi Jason! What partnumbers are the turnbuckles? Thanks, and keep up the great work! Greets from The Netherlands

Thank you!!
Nice vidéo !
Is there a a sense to put the wheels though?
What pinion did you run on the truck with those big tires
Does these tires work with the TRX 8896X 17mm hubs? Can it be used without the nuts?
Are you running 3s or 4s? Also have you had any problems breaking or twisting driveshafts with these tires?
Waited for the badlands comparison but it never came?? Bummer
You didn't mention the advantage of those tires over stock one in preventing rollovers, a million times better
Hey great video. Any issues with any of the electronics getting too hot?
Did you have an issue with the screws not tightening the hub to the wheel? I have the hub flush against the wheel and screws in, but they don't tighten and just spin. Almost as if the screws are not wide enough.
ps. those tires look awesome on the "Maxx"!
What dust cover was on the truck? Also love the orange. What looks stupid is the plastic orange next to the anodized that a lot of guys do.

Looks a touch wider as well to brother , in Canada too , Lethbridge.
Do you recommend them on kraton 6s v2 exb stock servo?
i love the maxx is a beast.💪💪

Badlands are awesome ,trenchers are good 2 but heavy
I want to get these for mine but did you have to change it to 17mm hubs or they fit right on like the factory wheels??
ty livinlife no mods needed.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs awesome im just getting the wheels for now then thank you..
You don’t happen to have a revo 3.3? Bc I would love to know how these work on that truck
Yo what is that hex wrench driver...... never seen one before...... Brand and where you got it from please......
Install the widemaxx kit
What kinda of handheld drill is that your using. Id love to pick one up for rc repairs

did the dremel driver come with the drivers?? where you get it?
Are the hubs separate purschased or comes with proline tires?
Comes with these tires.
What type of electric driver are you using.(tool)

Very nice toy for the big boys..i like it..but i don't have...😁😁😁
Hey Jason will I also swap out the pinion for another or the difference in size will not really make a difference 🤔
I had to swap my pinion my tires are 3.8 but they are much larger than those tires
I got this for my daughter, currently running it on 3S is it possible to run on 2S?
You probably could. But you can also put the esc into training mode.
Why you didn’t go with the badlands ?
Seems like these tires are making my motor skip when I punch the throttle
Hi,is the trencher 3.8 LP a little bit heavier than the stock tire?
What is the little screw gun that is used in this vidio?
Do these have a wider offset than the stock maxx wheels? Thinking out getting a set for my maxx.
Yes they do
How has the stock gearing held up with these wheels?
What brand is that little hand drill
jason what is your favorite rc? and y?
do you have the part number for the wheels?
What's the part number for the tires
Do the 2.8 trencher fit the maxx with the 17mm adapter hub
Gotta be .5 in offset so no
Great vid, can I ask what drill that is that your using? I would like to buy one
It’s a Dremel. It came as a combo with a drill and a dremel tool. However I don’t think they make them anymore.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs thanks Jason, ill take a look. Great video. Ive bought an Arrma Big Rock and want to put some PL Trenchers on there. I currently have 14mm Hex so what exactly do I need to fit these 17mm wheels?

No. Bit they are trencher 3.8 LP

And man you can’t even tell the size difference of those tires till your in person
Am i the only one that cant get the screw in the hole?
What tool is that u r using
Did you have to change gearing for these tires
It at all. They are basically the same size.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs well I had a problem with these tires and my Maxx Sounds weird when I go from reverse to forward
Like how u say decko instead of decal 😂😂

Yeah the belted tires are heavier. These aren’t belted.
And the blue add ons are purple 😂 it’s wired lol
I got a red x maxx I put on the red wide maxx kit.The color isn’t close to the color on the body.Owell
I have seen the video but I do not understand English.
Those wheels weigh more than traxxas, don't they?
Yes
Do these balloon?
Yes. They are not belted.
i hate those hubs they are so annoying to put on the hubs i didnt have a drill the first time
Tie rods*
I'm a TRAXXAS fanboy now lol really tho
Deckal
you don't like the color... obviously if you're into this hobby you got enough money by a green one bottle of the green one
Do you think these would work well on the corally Sketer ???
