The badlands are better for the grass or the power-hobby raptors. Trenchers are great for asphalt and hard-packed clay surfaces. The Maxx is a fun truck!
That's to adapt the size of the hole in the middle of the wheel to the smaller axles on the X-Maxx. The other option is to upgrade the axles to full 1/5 scale to fit the wheels without adapters.

They look good. I read that the Trencher is intended for use on hard surfaces, and the Badlands are better on loose surfaces. Maybe try those next?
