Also, the sledgehammers are pretty awesome. They're not belted, but barely balloon, if at all. They are splined too, so can only run them on traxxas hubs. But I love them on my maxx. Closer to stock size too.

You do not want the metal spur gear. especially for bashing. With Metal, much more things break. For example the motor shaft bends on high jump chassis slaps, trust me it will only take a few of them and something high cost breaks

The turning circle might be wider because your steering servo isn’t powerful enough to turn the bigger wheels because when I put proline trencher 3.8s on my kraton 6s I had to upgrade the steering servo because it wasn’t turning the wheels all the way
I have the Traxxas Maxx and the steering servo is HUGE. And somehow it's sucks pretty bad. Very weak. It's like they took a normal slash 4x4 servo and put it in a bigger box just so we can't buy a regular one for the Maxx. IDK 🤨.
I was getting ready tp order those until the spur gear went out. I would love to see a vid with a replacement metal gear holding up to that size tire. Keep up the great work.

Nice video.👍😍 Since you're replace that spur gear check the cush drive too, see if the rubber is still good (in shape). it is very important to check that cush drive rubber, caz that is the part to soften the power so you don't kill the diffs. On my maxx i have to replace it a little over half year.

Hello, yes you will have to go down in size! I cant remember what size we eventually ent down too. But we have sinced tried the traaxas sledgehammer tires and prefer them now on our maxx!

Another great video both 🥰 You got the front flip 😁 smooth as butter too, many cool landings but it's the crashing I love especially when it's a traxxas 🤣🤣 they annoy me, they always want to throw the body off lol. They are extremely durable cars, I'd like to see traxxas make a contender for the Arrma outcast and Kraton as I think they would design a more durable truck. The max is a different platform so you can't really compare them but durability wise the max wins hands down. Love the energy you guys have, your videos are uplifting, there's no denying your chemistry ❤ That track is 6s outcast/Kraton territory guys😏 I'd sell a testicle to be able to get my outcast on there 😍 even a 3s would be so much fun ✌👍🙂

Metal on metal is solid, plastic on plastic is pretty good, but metal on plastic shows the weakness of plastic, or is that the strength of metal? The paddle tyres are very cool for running on water ;) Keep up the good work :)

Its EPIC there ae! It was kinda closed..... we may or may not have snuck under the gate... 🤐 No I didn't change the gearing which is what ultimately lead to the spur stripping! I've learnt my lesson and ordered some new gears (metal) hopefully gearing down will prevent this from happening. I didn't notice the temps too high, but going from 24 to 22 pinion should help keep them at bay. Cheers! 🍻

the belted 3.8 prolines are great but they simply just dont last...i have run them on my arrma kraton 6s with some mods and they lasted less than a month..

Sorry we haven't had the Notorious 6s, but we do have the Kraton EXB and personally I (Joe) prefer the EXB over the Maxx! 😁

What's the benefit of belted tires?
It helps prevent the ballooning that can happen at high speeds 😊 which can lead to loss of control or tires exploding! 😬

Hey! We left ours stock... probably why added towards the spur stripping... a guy with the same tires recommended a 50T metal spur and a 22T pinion :)
