    High cost of living but with higher pay rates than anywhere else. I was born in San Diego and I still live here. The fantastic weather we have more than makes up for the cost of living. We are also one of the few cities where you can go to the beach and get a suntan and then drive about an hour or less east and play in the snow on the same day. 😊

    • @richardbird9326
      @richardbird9326 Месяц назад +1

      Not so ! The weather isn't everything ! High taxes, high cost of water, power, housing, gas, property taxes, trash service. I lived there 57 years and have been very happy. We are conservatives, and the liberal mindset California is turning that state into a septic tank !

    • @IC27185
      @IC27185 Месяц назад +1

      @@richardbird9326 True about the liberals turning it into a septic tank but I'm a native San Diegan as are two of my family generations before me. We were all born right here in San Diego. I remember when we were still called cow town back in the day because there wasn't much here but ranches and the military. I hated to see the population grow so fast here though. I actually was one of the locals with the bumper sticker that said "Welcome to California, Now go home". I love my home town so I'm not going to let a bunch of sick liberal politicians run me out of state. That's how we turned to a Blue state in the first place and that's the problem. If most people would stick to their guns so to speak and become active voters and help the campaigns of people in their party of choice and to keep their states party the same. People need to really start becoming activists during the voting years and educate people on the truth about the candidates running not only for Federal Government but also the candidates in their local and State governments that are on the ballots. This includes judges, and board members because its a domino effect from the judges that are liberal and easy on criminals by slapping them on the wrist and putting them back on the streets which increases crimes in our neighborhoods which then more police are needed to be hired which increases our taxes to pay for more police, which leads to small businesses laying people off and now you have 1000s of unemployed people who may eventually end up homeless causing more problems that we native residents end up flipping the Bill to fix the situation. It's one big Domino effect so don't just vote for a president come November. Look at the entire ballot and be more concerned about your local candidates running for office and read all pros and cons about each proposition that may be on your local city ballots. Some people believe that the upper elite running this country are buying the presidents of their parties choice anyway so it's more important to get the state your in back to the party of your choice because that will make it more difficult in the future for the opposition to win the presidency next election time.

As someone who grew up in NYC, I'm very picky, lol. Thanks for doing this video so other people who haven't been there yet can get to know it. BTW, our first days in SD were very entertaining, with sonic booms from Camp Pendleton (the marine base)-LOUD-and our first earthquake. But no one should let that stop them. :)

    How many of these places allow dogs on leashes? I don't go to many places without my good girl. Also can you give some information and photos of suburbs? No million dollar houses unfortunately. Also apartments or condo rentals. I live in Palm Springs and can't endure the summers. Looks just lovely there. Thank you for a brilliant video! I always think of Marilyn when I see that beautiful hotel. And a very funny film.

    • @Voyagerhq
      @Voyagerhq  2 месяца назад

      Hi thanks for the feedback on the video! I'm happy you enjoyed it. Regarding your question about dog-friendly spots, San Diego is quite accommodating to our furry friends. Many of the beaches, parks, and some outdoor areas of restaurants welcome dogs on leashes. Specific popular dog-friendly locations include Ocean Beach Dog Beach, Fiesta Island, Del Mar Dog Beach and several others around the city.
      As for exploring the suburbs, I'll make sure to include more information on this in future videos. San Diego has a diverse range of suburban areas that cater to different lifestyles and budgets. Areas like Clairemont, Kearny Mesa, and Mira Mesa offer a more affordable living compared to the upscale neighborhoods.
      For apartment and condo rentals, websites like Zillow, Trulia, or local real estate agents can provide detailed listings that suit your budget and preferences. The summer weather in San Diego is generally more mild than Palm Springs, and it's a great choice for a seasonal move.
      And yes, the Hotel Del Coronado is an iconic landmark with a rich history, including its association with Marilyn Monroe and classic films! I'm glad that it brought back some nice memories for you. Thanks for watching!

      There are homeless people everywhere in the USA but the homeless people in California are probably living the American dream because as I said we have near perfect weather year round. I mean homeless people aren't stupid people. However it is a United States problem and not something you only see in San Diego. You wouldn't see it at all if you are on Vacation here because the homeless hang out in bad neighborhoods. Stay in a nice resort in San Diego or any of the places mentioned in this fantastic video and you won't see one homeless person.
