The day you go there, you’ll miss England! Not saying the US land is not beautiful, it’s Gorgeous, they got everything! However their way of living is just ridiculous comparing to many European countries which the system is much more focus on the citizen! If you got money, you’re someone, if you don’t have it, you’re no one! That’s basically the American Dream!
I used to work with a British guy where I work in San Diego who had a very funny story about the first time he came to California. He took a bus the whole way from the east coast, not quite realizing how long that was going to take. When he finally arrived he was exhausted and grimy from the long bus trip. He made a mad dash for the sea and plunged in head first! He said you could have heard his scream for miles! Poor man thought the water would be like Florida. It's actually quite cold most of the year, even in San Diego.
My wife is from SD and Cabrillo National Monument is my most favorite place to be, of all time in the SD area. Drop me off there and leave me there all day. Seriously! The views are stunning! Thanks for the memories of SD and the downtown areas!

Florida blows it away. I'm from So Cal and never loved the beach there. Water's always cold. Beaches aren't that pleasant to utilize (they look nice from far away), lots of kelp, strong riptide, etc..
Love San Diego, my grandpa lived in Carlsbad. I have fond memories of all of it. San Diego zoo, sea world, wild animal park. La Jolla. The PCH ugh so nice to drive the pch north of San Diego.
Nightlife downtown , family balmont park , Balboa park, la Jolla beaches ocean beach hippy vibes, old town for history great food restaurants, ecintas beaches , bombfire feists island , Bahia , mission bay.
If your quest is more spiritual in nature: Yoga, Meditation, Healing, etc. (I moved here at age 20 for those purposes from Florida) then if you visit you might check out N. County (Encinitas) where there is Self Realization Fellowship (Paramahansa Yogananda ((Autobiography of a Yogi)) temples and gardens (just re-opened since Covid-19 Quarantines) and many other restaurants, people, yoga centers, etc. For La Jolla (shown here, a few blocks away on the main street is Trilogy Sanctuary.

I've been going to La Jolla since I was a child in the 60s and the beach she referred to as the Cove is actually called Boomer Beach. The Cove is around the corner where the people were swimming with the sea lions.
While in San Diego, try to visit Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial in La Jolla, the 360 degree view is awesome! Then travel south on I-5 to Coronado, home of the Hotel Del Coronado, beautiful beaches and view of the tip Pt. Loma and Point Loma lighthouse. If you go out to the light house monument, be sure to stop by Point Loma Seafoods for a fantastic crab sandwich on fresh sourdough. Enjoy my hometown!

Hi Renata, Thank you for sharing! My friends and I are planning on visiting San Diego during the first week of March for a 7 day trip. We are escaping the harsh Canadian winter! Southern California the hottest months are late August to September...best for beach but then they usually have fires in September. May is creeping on June which can be cloudy everyday with marine layer...they call it June gloom in LA. The temperatures are rising and the ocean reacts. It has to be a hot day for the clouds to burn off. One of our LA videos shows the marine layer in Los Angeles. Still the days are warm with the cloud cover. The further you move inland the warmer it is and the sunnier it is which negates some of the above. The deserts are perfect in November thru February. I hope that helps

Thanks for the info Renata, your the best 😊
