Did you bleach your hair first? Asking because I have virgin black hair and it's also kinky coily 4c hair.
@@tabithathewholisticyou have to either bleach or use a permanent color on virgin hair to go lighter than the natural color. I would watch his video on dying it

In my experience of coloring my hair green, I've found that green covers up a bit of red-orange really well - especially if it's a really blue green. I once put a really blue blue green on level 5-6 bleached hair and it turned out this amazing emerald color that lasted forever.
I don't think there is ANYBODY in this world who has seen us in worst places than a hairdresser.
Brad, I've been watching you for 4 years...and I know that because your videos inspired me to cut my hair short 4 years ago...and bleach it...and dye it pink...and dye it green...and dye it blue...and than dye it almost black...and going back to blonde...and now I'm planning to do a bleach bath (just watch your video about that) to have a more blonde blonde and than do red ends.

Dyed my hair green a few weeks ago after cutting it at home and it turned out great... forgot to video it but I took off about 18 inches of hair into a bob cut before doing the color and the whole reason I decided to just go for it was because of you. Huh.... It looks like the first girl edited her results, or at the minimum digitally enhanced her results, look at the green "aura" around her hair over her shirt and neck, looks like when you use one of those hair color filters on TikTok. Not to say she didn't really dye it green, but maybe it didn't actually come out this vibrant irl (but it does suit her so much more!)
First gal, she said she was using 10 Volume developer on the mids/ends :)

Your mention of Sally Beauty reminds me, I recently tried Super Blue for the first time on my peek-a-boo blue (underneath the normie light brown hair) and I _loved_ it! (Refreshing previously perma-dyed tanzanite that had faded)
I once had Emerald green hair and it's my absolute favorite of all time!!! My current work place doesn't allow unnatural hair colors, which is so sad, because I want my green hair back 😅

You wanna know how I discovered that green and red make brown? I was using the colored gel icing to draw on Christmas cookies. I was in like 2nd grade 😂
My lower half of the hair is green and I'm currently debating whether I should go full green, but the prospect of dealing with re-growth, box dye on top and virgin roots was quite scary - that is until I saw that last video haha. Definitely possible! And this entire video was generally all the affirmation I needed to do so! Btw, when dealing with green colors that have blue-ish base (and warm/pure greens simply don't work for my complexion) I actually prefer to get my hair to light orange stage instead of yellow-white, as blue cancels the orange, the green that remains has a gorgeous cool undertone of a vibrant northern forest.

it's so funny that most people are trying so hard to avoid the slightly muddy green color.... and that's what I wanted for mine. But I got impatient and just needed to do something to my hair so I bleached it first then realized my mistake, so it came out a very brilliant green rather than the more bog witch tone I wanted. ah well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts and try again next time.

Brad… we need a mondo hotline. I have soooo many questions about what to do next on my hair!! It’s has been dyed red multiple times, then color remover that had bleach in it! Then a color remover without bleach, then pink twice. The pink faded sooo quickly so I attempted to dye it brown last night but it didn’t do much but make the pink dull and turned my new growth BLONDE. And now I’m stuck. ( All of the dye was box dye 😅)I WANT MY BROWN BACK!

when i dyed my front pieces with xmondo my hairdresser was so suprised at how moisturized it felt because i colored it like every 3 weeks to keep the purple and pink super vibrant, so it definitely made a difference for her to point out how healthy it felt/looked

Just bought the purple x mondo color on saturday and i put it in that night let it sit for 2 hours rinse and dried my hair and let me say iam impressed!! The purple covered my natural hair which is a darker brown but the purple is still visible !! My hair feels great and i still got mostly a full container !! Just wanted to share 💜

@@jenniferwalkowiak13 some peoples hair just doesnt take to color love!! My sister in law is a true red head and any color she puts in washes out !! Plus the color is Semi Permanent so it will wash out !!! But i rinsed it in cold water and i normally cant wash my hair but maybe once a week cuz my hair is super thin and dry alot !!! I used to use Artic Fox and my color would be so vibrant but i wanted to give this a try hoping it will last alittle bit
@@amygravel6383Arctic Fox stays longer for me than Mondo did. I’ve used AF since it came out, it’s reliable and I get it on sale. I only wash my hair once a week and I like that after the first wash it doesn’t bleed on the pillow or clothes.

I remember about 12 years ago I put green “highlights” in my freshly bleached hair….a lot of people thought the color was from the chlorine in a pool.😂😂
21:42 Brad, I think it would be helpful if you did a diagram showing exactly what length counts as the roots, mid-section etc. Everyone seems to have a different version of how far down the roots go.

My hair is much shorter so the bleaching process went flawlessly. I also happened to mix some blue into the green thinking it might turn a teal colour but the green came out sooooo saturated it was awesome! Even the fade out looks great. Some of the bleach is shining through but it just looks like highlights in my hair. I wanna do blue and purple but maybe I'll stick with green for a bit longer after watching this! ❤
