Carne asada fries are not on the menu at most Mexican sit down restaurants. However, they are generally an item on the menu of just about every Mexican taco shop in the county (which seem to be on every other corner here, lol). Unfortunately, they are not all made equally, some are better than others, just like any eating/dining out experience.
They are super easy to make at home. Just need a few ingredients, Chopped flank steak, french fries, cheese (cotija/queso fresco, a crumbly cheese similar to Feta), guacamole (if you like it), salsa of choice (preferable not out of a bottle), pico de gallo or salsa fresca are great & easy to make or they can be found in most refrigerated sections of supermarkets.
You can probably request this at any Mexican restaurant that has french fries on the menu. Just ask then to dump a bunch of fries on a plate (or a platter-appetizer/starter for the table) and layer on the other ingredients which all Mexican restaurants have. Google image a pic if they are not familiar with the item. Most Mexican places from my experience will make you what you want if they have the ingredients. These are all standard ingredients except the fries.
Do yourself a favor a Google image carne asada fries recipe, select the images that look best to you and make it at home. Carne asada nachos (tortilla chips instead of fries) are my favorite though. Delish!!

This is true, but the fear comes from a number of reasons. 1. no rain causes oil and automobile fluids to build up on the road, and the first rain causes the roads to become an ice rink 2. A lot of people here do not regularly change their wiper blades or tires because of the lack of rain, when rains happen, they are screwed 3. poor draining /low lying areas cause substantial water build up not only on roads but sections of freeway as well

    1. DON'T underestimate its size - the tour will really take the whole day long.
    2. If you've arrived pretty late (after the noon) to cover the whole tour in a single day and you kindly asked to leave the premises as museum is closing... I had to watch this because I am from San Diego, I was curious to see what you had to say. You made some great points. I work in hospitality and I wish more people watched this before they visit. Most people don't expect to pay for parking at most places so when they arrive they're shocked and upset that we charge for it but it's everywhere out here.
On the few times it does rain during the year we're all outside memorized by it because it is a rare to see it, except this year, we seen more rain this year then the past 10 years.
I very much agree with your statement about LA vs San Diego, we're definitely much different when it comes to things to do, the people you meet, etc. I moved from LA to San Diego because I noticed San Diego was much classier than LA, much cleaner and much more mature.

On average the city sees less than 30 days of rain a year. Therefore the climatization of the locals are surely different from other regions which might be more humid, or wetter, or colder.
It is a desert in disguise, as is all of Coastal Southern California due to the vast aqueduct systems which provide the waters (primarily from the Colorado River (and to a lesser extent Northern California, Sierra Nevadas, and desalinated sources)) which support the millions who live there

Loraine Spencer I have been living in the Bay Area for the last 6 months and have been there several times hoping to have a good experience but the city filthy and there are homeless people everywhere which is really sad. It smells like urine because they’re aren’t enough public bathrooms so people just pee on the side walk. We’ve literally walked past someone shooting up on the side walk as well in broad daylight. We’ve been followed by a crazy person who started shouting at us because he thought we were looking at him. We’ve had people stop us in the street asking for money. The super touristy spots are still fine but everything is over priced and the experience is just ok, it’s just not worth the time and money.

I've lived in San Diego for almost 50 years. I commute to work every day, a drive that years ago took approximately 15 minutes, now can take about 45 minutes in rush hour traffic, maybe a bit more on some days. There's traffic from the Mexico border, Coronado bridge & Mission Valley to contend with. The commute is primarily a freeway/highway route. I have never sat in 2 hour traffic, not even when there's been an accident. I leave an hour early and I am almost always on time to work. If I wasn't, I would have been fired years ago. The traffic is much worse than it used to be, however, it's not generally at a standstill like some parts of the country.

Good point about the bridge. Not long ago, a speeding drunken sailor flew off the low end of the bridge and killed four people enjoying the park below.

For the museums, selected museums are free on Tuesday's! Just make sure to look up on the balboa park website to find out which ones are free that Tuesday 💚 and to save money on the zoo's, Groupon! Buy a ticket from Groupon. Hardly anyone here buys a ticket at full price.

Heh you got a shot of my sandwich! Nice. OMG and my face. heh. Thanks for the Beer to the Rescue shoutout and GREAT ADVICE in this video! Esp asking your hotel concierge about traffic patterns and when to leave to avoid traffic getting where you want to go. Rush hour is generally weekdays 7-10am and 3-7pm. There are a few loopholes during these hours but 90% of the freeways will be backed up like sardines.
