Punk is not so much about the "type" of music... it's about the attitude of not giving a shit and being DIY as fuck! None of that big label bullshit! Early punk bands sounded a lot like this, way before the Pistols or whatever you all keep comparing this to.

Punk is a state of mind, not a style of dress or set of musical rules. If you didn't live through the punk era, it makes sense that you might get confused. The 80's didn't actually look like John Hughes movies. Punk rock didn't look anything like the "punk" product pushed by media companies over the past 15 years. If the Ramones played today, nobody would call them punk. If Television, The New York Dolls, or the Electric Eels played today, they wouldn't be called punk.
Wow.. I couldn't disagree more. She is easily one of the best natural talents in existence. Her voice is one of the only ones that give me chills.
