  • This fly is very good for pretty much all saltwater species that feed on shrimps.. This can be tied in every color to fit the shrimp in your homewater!

    If this fly looks half as good to fish as it does in the vice...it's brilliant! I went out at lunchtime to local craft store to buy the silicon jewelry thread. Well done...can't wait to hit the vice then water!

    Very nice work and well thought out. I have to laugh at the guys who tie red crayfish since they only turn red when cooked! I would never have considered actually putting the tail through the eye of the hook. Very nice.

      Hah! That is actually pretty funny.. :-D Thank you for your kind words.. I will be upgrading this video at some point - with some talking and more detailed explanation.. I tie this in som many ways and you can use just about anything to personalize it or make it look like the shrimps in other places.. Some are dark almost black where others are very pale sand colored.. :-)

    Have you tried tying these with a shrimp hook that is bent the opposite direction?

    That is a mighty looking fly. Do you catch Grey Mullet in Denmark 🇩🇰? If so what is your favourite fly for them? I have caught many over 5 and a few over 6 pound but on bread. I would love to catch a few on a fly though. I know I might be asking a bit much as I see your passion is Sea Trout, but here in Ireland they often frequent the same locations, particularly in estuaries just wonder if you every catch them on the fly.

    How long do those legs really last? I haven't ever UV glued legs or the whole body of a shrimp. Doesn't seem very cost effective since thread is so much cheaper than UV resin.
    Looks great though. Mine are more complicated to tie and I am wondering if this lasts longer than the ones I tie? All the best, Sean

      @Coastfly  7 лет назад

      Sean Mooney Thanks for your comment and question! I've never had one single shrimp losing a leg.. Thread is cheaper yes - but its almost not possible to get the shrimp as transparent as this one using only thread and/or dubbing.. usually the lose some of the transparancy after 4 Months or so.. but Ive never had one of these come apart as Well.. Hope my answer helps.. all the best, morten

      Yes, thanks so much. I will tie a few and see how I do, All the best to you Morten, Tight lines

      Coastfly if you've never lost a leg then these don't catch fish

    • @Coastfly
      @Coastfly  6 лет назад +9

      FattyMateo you should check my Instagram account and see for your self.. This shrimp gets inhaled.. the rubberlegs are made from jewelry thread and is almost impossible to destroy.. if flies Fall apart after one fish they are badly tied..
