I want to do this for our camper. I'd really like to know if the table will slide along the length of the rail, or do you have to lift/angle it first? Ours needs to move to provide better access to one of the bench seats.
Wonderful video.I wish I had all of the tools to do this. My vintage travel trailer needs a table, I have the old one but like you say, it is way too big. I need a smaller version of my own. Thanks for the video, very well done.
Man that's some equipment. I intend to make one with hand tools. Seems every where I look for a little inspiration everyone has like a lottery win worth of shop and tools. Lovely to watch though! Thank you! I'm just jealous! Haha
Thats not a lottery win worth of tools, thats a lack of other hobbies. It's cheaper than having a project vehicle or a couple dirtbikes. My hobby just happens to bring me a little extra cash haha! Thanks!
Oh I like the brush in the glove! I can't believe How many times I have put a brush in a sandwich Baggie then peeled off my glove and thrown it in the trash and not thought to just use the glove.
How do you find that clip-in aluminium rail with a much heavier table like this? Does it feel like a solid mounting? And that's also quite a lightweight folding leg - does your table feel sturdy?
I'm about to make a similar table with 1x4 fir (but it will be free standing with folding pedestal legs). Before I start, do you think this will be strong enough to use as a bed in a traditional rv dinette (resting between two benches)? The boards would be running parallel to the benches. I'm concerned about the boards warping under pressure. Thanks for the great video! It's the best I've found, by far.
Oh my...i love Your video's, everything u make looks very simple and like a cartoon ;p every wood u use looks very precise, clean and perfect :) i'm happy i subscribed ;)
I love it! Isn't that par for the course... you wake up to nature and decide to have some breakfast and that is when you discover that all you have is paper plates, forks and knives for your Fruit Loops? Hilarious!
Great Video... Learned a lot and subscribed to your channel for more... I am starting a 1973 Winnebago Indian Renovations and would love to ask your ideas on a couple fixes / modification when time, If Ok with You, Dustin? THANK AGAIN, Liking and looking at all your videos now ^_^" Xxxx
That's an excellent job on the table but jeez that's a heavy duty table for a very lightweight trailer! The owners might have to add a little more air pressure in the tires! :-) Gerald
backyardcnc It didnt seam that bad until I picked up the fiberglass one. I calculated the weight before hand and my client was okay with it. Its just over 20 pounds I think
The original table-top was clearly designed by someone who was planning for spills. By having a curve on the surface any spills would be contained on the table itself. ;-)
lets face it if you have a workshop like that then you will already know how to make a table and if you dont then you aint gonna end up with a table like that!
Hi, what is the name of the mechanism to lock and unlock the table leg at 5:18, could anyone let me know. Thanks very much!! It will help me a lot. I really would like to buy one from hardware shop or eBay maybe. Thanks.

Sanding dust and coffee, my favorite blend.
Love the look and fit of your table. Spent many summers in a small trailer with the same type of table. Thanks for the memory. - Annie
I like it! I never used to like that blonde look for a finish, but it is growing on me.

Liking those clamp extensions and the planer stand tucked under the bench!
Great job on the table and hey, that's a cool shirt :D
John Heisz Thanks! You can expect to see that shirt often.

Large improvement on the old one. Really nice video.
I liked the way you set the table.
I literally said "whoa" out loud when you rolled out your planer cart. That's fantastic.
I know mine wasn't the first. I've seen them with one tool on each side which is really awesome. I just needed a way to fit it under my bench.

Very nice. I bet the client was very happy with it. Thanks for the video.
Can u tell me the exact name of the aluminium guide rail? where can i find it? thanks

A lot of lessons here :), Thanks for sharing
ميزة الورشة الحديثة. مع اتقان الصنعة كما يجب
I love the way you disposed of that foam brush. :-)
I store it like that between coats. Thanks!
God bless people who don't need to tell you their whole life story in every video.
Could not agree more!
Beautiful table. Now to find a "build a camper table for dummies" video!
Smart, 2x4 clamp extenders
your thickness planer stand is genius !
I stole that idea from somewhere else. Thanks!
Love your channel Dustin! Nice work and your vids are top notch... dig your intro music too.
+Craig White Thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate it
Great job!...except for the Fruit Loops!

Does any one know what the Aluminium extrusion is on on tue end of the table, is it J-moulding?
how much does a table like that cost?

Great video, Dustin!
That clamping idea is brilliant? did you come up with it?! NICE!
Thanks very much! I might of! I don't recall haha!
I searched RUclips for Titebond 3. Is that what you used to join the table together? Awesome table.
There is a link in the description. Purchase it through there and you're supporting my channel.
+Dustin Penner Already bought mine last friday. I'll support your channel by saying nice job and giving a thumbs up. Nice job, (+1 : 254)

Garry M yup. All skills come from buying equipment.
I too enjoy eating fruit loops on a paper plate with a fork and knife.
Good stuff Dustin. Did the squirrels ever warm up the hotel?
Yes they totally did. I have a great action shot. I'll update the video thumbnail right now and you can also find it on my Instagram.
5:30 Exploring your inner HowToBasic uh?
darcksage1 haha, I thought the same thing.
Ha! I was completely oblivious to that channel but I just watched a whole bunch of videos. That's funny.
Who eats fruit loops with a knife and fork?....subscribed

No idea! It was provided by the client. sorry!
teabiscuits1 It's a folding table leg / bracket. m.ebay.com/itm/AP-Products-013-135-Adjustable-Folding-Table-Leg-/162145177531?nav=SEARCH
Nice shirt!
Wish I had purchased years ago
I just need to come and borrow your garage ...
The best part was when you just threw all the plastic wear on the table at the end.
subscribed!
great job but the weight
ouch
It's not that bad. Thanks.
No explanation at all ?
caellis66 glue boards together, cut to shape, boom you have a table.
Why would you waste your time with biscuit joints? They do hardly anything but be a waste of time. They add hardly any structural support.
You clearly don't know much about woodworking.
Yeah sorry that's not true. Even if they didn't add strength, which they do, they aid in lining up large pieces.
You should not cut so fast. It's dangerous. You might hurt yourself.
Yeah but no everybody has the tools that you have, looking for simple ideas lol!!
If you can’t do this with basic tools you need a new hobby. Come on now, I’m not here to hold your hand, I’m here to give you ideas.
@@dpmakestuff so ideas with basic tools then
@@betto2017 I don’t know. Maybe glue so wood together and cut out a table. I’m not here to hold your hand.
