    Great ideas and techniques. I love puzzles, boxes and otherwise; I'm in the process of trying to make original (and some older) mechanisms. Your videos are very inspiring! Love the creation of hardware (washers and knobs)!

    I love watching you work. Really clever ways to make the materials work for you. Love the way you routed the drawer fronts and cut the corners for the darker wood inserts. Beautiful 😀

    Beautiful! As someone who knows nothing about woodworking, I am fascinated by watching this! But I feel like a dog while I'm trying to grasp what the heck you are doing. "Oh yeah, I see what you're doin' there. Uh huh. Different wood. Pretty. Yup. Lots of pins. Whoa, wait, what was that? Upside down? What the heck? How can you do that so fast?     This is great work! The locking mech is great, and of course the woodworking looks lovely, but what really gets me is the brass hardware you make yourself; simple but looks lovely. First video I've seen of yours, happy to subscribe!

    That's one beautiful box I love the woods that you have used, I have trouble getting those types of woods here in Australia unless I pay the really big bucks here :-/
    When Dad I cut down a few trees that were dying out in the back and front yard I kept a lot of it and have it racked up for later use two of the trees were very old orange trees but I found the roots were really pretty and have kept them for wood turning :-) the third tree was an old pine tree around 200 years old so I kept quite a lot of that as the grain was good on it plus I could not afford to buy 200 year old wood :-) that too had some really nice roots that would work out well for turning :-) it got some kind of bug at the base of the tree and we were told it had to come down they quoted $800 to cut it down and take it away umm I don't think so boys was not born on the slow boat to China so dad and I spent the week cutting it down in parts :-) hope to make something nice from it in a few years after drying time :-)

    Absolutely beautiful. As a beginner, I watch videos to learn and I did learn some from this video but would be nice to hear more on like, make sure you do this....or this is the reason for this.....examples so we can learn from your experience. However that may not be the intention of your videos.

    Awesome box. I was just using some thin brass rod on a small box the other day, very basic. But seeing your technique to cut/shape/finish those brass knobs on your box made me realize just how novice I really am, haha! Thanks for the inspiration. Keep up the great work!

    I like the project, but I love the wood. Was that claro walnut that you book matched for the doors ? It's pretty cool how fast you can speed up the video. Quite a bit slower & tell us about those near perfect joints of yours.

    With ebony being as expensive as it is, i'm really surprised you didn't do triangles for the splines instead of rectangles to conserve more. Beautiful box! Fantastic work!

    Initially I thought it was a shame that there was no commentary but as the video progressed I loved the way the visuals told the story. I have no idea about shop work but enjoy watching things being constructed. This is a really novel idea and beautiful constructed.

    Very nice Dustin, The secret drawer is very clever, the only thing that i would change
    is the thickness of the material, I think it would look better with thinner stock on the framework, the reinforced mitre joint adds class!
