Jewelry Box Woodworking - The Box Of 4 Woods

I decided to tackle another DIY jewelry box and make it a woodworking build tutorial. This video not only depicts the steps I went through to build it, but also highlights some key mistakes I had to learn from. Woodworking is my favorite hobby and I love trying new ideas and techniques. From installing hinges to trying new wood finishes, I definitely set myself up for failure...or learning points. I had no plans going into this build so I just kind of went with it, which usually turns out the most fun.
The body is walnut, the lid is katalox and cherry, the drawer and trays are maple and the internal separators are cherry.
I've also taken the liberty to add in a few woodworking tips and tricks that I've learned along the way so hopefully you'll get something out of this video. If anything, you'll have a new diy keepsake box.

Nice build. It can be difficult to continue on after making mistakes, but you handled all of them creatively to realize the goal in the end. Kudos. As an aside, lose the music or at least turn it way down. I actually am more interested in listening to you.
