    If you are making this for yourself, it will become a family heirloom that will be passed down the generations. If you are making it for sale, I truly hope you can find a buyer who can appreciate the time and craftsmanship that went into it, and pay appropriately. It's gorgeous!

      If you address it to the channel owner, you may get a more sensible reply. I'm sure he would be keen to sell them.

    Wow, this is pure artisan work here. I don't want to take away from woodworkers, but almost anyone can utilize power tools and follow a guide. This is pure craftsmanship, beautiful. Reminds me of my uncle, loved woodworking and whittling wood. I'm going to try and make two of these for my daughters, using purpleheart rosewood and cedar. Thank you for the relaxing video and excellent work!

    It is really wonderful that the skills of Chinese classical furnitures are still practiced today since the Ming dynasty

    Beautiful skills and it’s such a pleasure to see someone using hand tools to cut tenons rather than set them up on a router jig. Could watch you and also Ishitani Woodworking for hours. There’s also your corgi :)

      I have no sounds on. Its really no problem. I watching the video wich a cup of coffee, one or two cagarillos, legs up on a chair and relax a lil bit. Thinking I CAN DO THE SAME, but no i cant. Only trying a lot. Bying expensive tools (makes fun bying tools) and watching, relaxing and trying.

    this's really beautifully done; I wish I could do half this well
    I'm wondering: how traditional is this design? I know *very little* about Chinese woodworking, but I was expecting at least that the bottom part, with the frame and panel, have a pair of sliding dovetails to anchor the frame to the panel. the *style* is certainly very traditional, but how about the way you've made it?

    You have created a perfect work of art. In ancient China, only the ladies of wealthy families could use such a dressing table. This kind of dressing table seems to have disappeared in modern China. Thank you for bringing such traditional woodworking back to life.

    When you are working, do you saw on the pencil line or do you saw next to it, leaving the line in place? Your work is so accurate, I am interested what you find works best for getting such clean and precise work. Or alternatively do you find a knife line better in some/most situations?

      The furniture uses wood wax oil.
