    Glad you recommended the d500 and 200-500! Ive spent the last couple weeks looking into cameras for wildlife and theres so much info and choices i feel like this is the most confused ive ever been lol. I was already looking at pairing these together so to hear its a solid combo is reassuring, feel like its gonna take a year to learn how to operate it tho lol. Theres some wolves near me i really wanna get some pictures and video of and think im about to ready to commit to a camera and lens setup to start. Been enjoying your videos, this is the 3rd one tonite and i just found your channel!

    Great video and insight into the gear you use. I have a D500 and have the 200-500mm and thinking of getting a 500mm f4 lens, would you recommend the G version since the new version for me is to expensive. Cheers, Ian

    Great Video Cameron, they are beautiful images, I am jealous of them, all I have here are the deer, beavers, wild boars and some birds of prey in the Ardennes, if you are lucky, so praise your lucky one and continue to amaze me with your beautiful videos. Greetings from Rudy from Antwerp Belgium.

And the shout-out to the Canadian Armed Forces MRE's was a nice touch :) Thank you for your service and for the excellent videos!!

    • @brandt_bennett
      @brandt_bennett 4 года назад

      Cameron Roxberry I haven’t. Nick Page did a review on one and cleaned it after salt water use. I think if I was going to be in water more I’d use a set of these photographyblinds.com/products/avocet-tripod-waders. Just as a way to provide a bit more protection.

    Damn what a setting for a q&a. Im rocking an innorel tripod they're $300 or so on amazon and so far so good, carbon fiber, sturdy, would love a nice gitzo or RRS tripod but id rather put the extra cash towards a truck haha. Also completely agree with you on the behavior fulfilling you, for me its the behavior and sharing it with people that don't get to see that side of the particular critter

    Definitely check out the Really Right Stuff brand. They are very sturdy, made of high quality materials, machined very well, and made in the USA...but they do command a premium price. Considering the weight (and price) of the 600 f/4, I would see them as a justified expense. I use their TVC-33 with the BH-55 ballhead at my work and after 7 years of use they are rock solid.

    I've been using the Leofoto LS-284 tripod. I prefer to keep my gear minimal and this tripod holds my Benro fluid head, Tamron 150-600mm, and Panasonic S1 good. It has a built in leveling system which is invaluable for when you don't have time to mess with adjusting legs. Also, I love that Atlas as well. Holds up well.
