- Join me on my annual trip down the Kenai Peninsula to the small fishing town of Homer, AK in search of Bald Eagles. We'll talk a little about how I scout, locate, and photography Bald Eagles, techniques on building your portfolio of a particular image and a few tips and tricks along the way. What an awesome experience that would be to have a magnificent Bald Eagle perch right next to you! While you were explaining the encounter I was imagining myself sitting there talking to it, like I do to various little passerine and waterbirds I photograph. I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago, managed to get some Bald Eagle shots but as usual on tours the light is never good. Had a fantastic time, got shots of Humpback Whales bubble feeding at Icy Strait Point. I nearly cried in Juneau when on the bus to Mendenhall Glacier and we went past the tidal flood plain, there were at least 50 Bald Eagles perching on various logs in the basin! Need to get back there and see more of that amazing country some day. Been enjoying your videos Cameron, +1 subscriber.

@@cameronroxberry7014you're very welcome mate. It amazes me watching you guys hiking through snow in -10C temps, while at the same time I'm over here sweating it out in 40C temps - I look forward to some snow photography some day but not a big fan of being cold so not sure how I'll go with that.
I just 'discovered' your channel by running across 'this guy' standing in the river near Fairbanks photographing mallards as the ice floats by. That video prompted me to look up your channel, this guy is having fun. I've been busy all day arranging flights and a BNB in Homer to photograph eagles for that holiday weekend, I so enjoy your work.

Taking Bald Eagle images is very exciting. Two years ago I went up to Haines Alaska and took photos of eagles feasting on Salmon from the Chilkat River in November. Hundreds of eagles.

Most photographers know in this environment it's called spray and pray on shots. Oh My God I would of loved and would be over the moon to have one land that close. Just like the guy said below. Thank you for taking us on your trip.

I always believe the animals have a higher sense, a sense we cannot tap into yet!. I was watching the photos/videos of the juvenile thinking, wow, that is close - still imagining a big lens and focusing distance between you. Then the last one of you both together and I'm blown away, you meant very very close! Wow. Awesome!

Hello, unforgettable moments for the eagle to have rubbed shoulders with a strange character who does not fly and who wears a cap and in addition who takes photos (lol). Bravo for this beautiful series that all animal photographers and in particular bird photographers would like to do and especially live ... If the eagle has left its coordinates you never know .... But to get it to France it must be expensive ..... Thank you again for this good time. Eric
