Super helpful! Starting PA school in a few months and nervous about how to study in an online manner. But ur channel gives me a foundation on how to! Keep it up and GL! 🥳
Hey girl!! I was just accepted into PA school (starting fall 2021) and I was wondering if you could make a video on how you used that time to prepare for school. I love your platform and admire your resiliency of enduring didactic online/during a pandemic 🥵 you’ve got this!!
Congratulations!!! Thank you so much😊 I plan on filming a bunch of videos over the next couple of weeks before semester 2 starts for me so I’ll add that to the list!
Hey there! Pre-PA student here! I love your videos they are super helpful and give a lot of insight Into how much work I’ll need to put in if I (hopefully) get accepted into PA school! God bless and thank you for the content! 😊
Thank you so much! I have 2 day in the life videos up right now (one is titled what it is actually like to be a PA student) and I definitely plan on making more!🤗
So I usually just take notes during class, so however long a class is. I take notes directly on the PowerPoints using my iPad and then read through my notes/the PowerPoint to study!
@@RAROMERO8 I honestly only do this for classes that the textbook material would be on the exam! This would definitely be helpful to do but with the fast pace of PA school I don't always have time to read the textbook unfortunately!
@@RAROMERO8 It depends on the class! For example, our microbiology and pathophysiology professors would test us on the textbook material so I would read the textbook for those classes! But for most other classes like pharmacology all of the information we need is in the PowerPoints or said during the lecture! Some of my classmates do read the textbook for more classes because that is how they learn though!
I do for certain classes but not all! I am going to post an update how I study video very soon! For some classes that the textbook is very important my classmates and I will all choose one chapter to do a chapter summary of and then post it on a google drive so that we don’t all have to do a summary of all of the chapters!

How long does it take you in a day to make notes?

@@PASCourtney hey there! Do you ever read the textbook material and annotate what's important by incorporating your power point/class notes into it?
@@RAROMERO8 I honestly only do this for classes that the textbook material would be on the exam! This would definitely be helpful to do but with the fast pace of PA school I don't always have time to read the textbook unfortunately!
@@PASCourtney ohh ok thanks ! Is there any classes you read the textbook for tho or for the most part the textbook isn't needed ?

Do you make whole chapter summaries. I do that but it takes way too long

How long was your personal statement for PA school?
It is allowed to be 5,000 characters (not words) so mine was just under that!
@@PASCourtney okay, thank you.
