END OF ROTATIONS VLOG | Life between rotations
Hello everyone! My name is Courtney and I am a new graduate physician assistant! I made my Instagram (@myway_topa) and this RUclips channel to help all of the pre-PAs out there and to document my journey through PA school and life after school.
In this video I am showing what end of rotations (EORs) are like! This is the time between rotations when PA students go back on campus and take their EOR exams and more.

This is such a good video. I’m planning on PA school after undergrad. And I’ve been looking for a good vlogging channel. Most have been people talking about their day involving working out and what they eat, so I’m glad I found this channel. Thank you for the vids!

After you shadow where do you have the PA sign off? Do I have to print out a shadowing template?
I didn’t have the PA sign anything! CASPA is an honor system and programs can call the PA to confirm you shadowed there if they would like!
@@PASCourtney so after I shadow a clinic/hospital/office do I enter into CASPA?
@@Mdgutierrez Sorry for the delayed response! You can keep track of your hours on an excel spread sheet or a notebook and then later when you are applying to PA school, you enter your total number of hours of shadowing into CASPA!

@@Mdgutierrez I would just document in an excel or notebook as you go! When you enter into CASPA, you enter your total time you have done with a PA, not each individual time!

Also silly question, but I know you said you can wear glasses on clinicals/surgery, but is that preferred? I’m considering getting contacts again but weren’t sure what you or your classmates prefer!😊
You will do great!! I was soooo terrified for my surgery rotation and it went way better than I expected! And personally I prefer contacts just in general for every day life but my preceptor preferred glasses so you don’t forget to put on your eye covers! It may depend on where your rotation is, they could potentially make you wear more specific eye protection rather than just glasses!

Thank you so much!!☺️ you are going to do amazing!! I would definitely recommend Rosh review! I split it with a few of my classmates for didactic year since we don’t use it as much and it’s definitely the way to go! Also Pance prep pearls has been helpful. I watch a lot of the free osmosis videos online too. Some of my classmates paid for the subscription to have access to all of the videos but I personally didn’t!
