    YES! The parents should take the boys & girls out to learn how to survive, hunt, fish, and trap. It's the way it always used to be and still should be.

    I think it's also important to teach our young women kin, daughters, nieces, cousins etc to hunt, gather and fish. I grew up fishing for as long as I can remember. Fishing and gathering bait and other edibles is in my blood. We also foraged berries, native veggies, bush foods and fruit, trapped crabs and yabbies, foraged shellfish and ate feral animals like hare, rabbit and pig hunted by family and friends. It is so important to teach young women to be independent, confident and how to take care of themselves and family and just get out there and chill and relax in nature.

    • @ClayTallStories
      @ClayTallStories  4 года назад

      Absolutely but I try to avoid taking young women out in the bush other than just my own two daughters. My focus is on young men without fathers. It It would be great to see some of our mature experienced women hunters creating a few programs for young women.

      @@ClayTallStories I totally agree and understand the focus on young boys needing good men as role models and it's great what you do for them. I just hope other Dads and uncles out there understand that their daughters and nieces need strong and decent women and men in their lives. As a daughter, my father taught me nothing, yet he took my brother shooting, deep sea fishing etc and this neglect has hurt me a lot in life. Other male and female relatives thankfully taught me how to fish, bush craft, gather, shoot etc. If you could recommend any mature female youtubers who hunt, gather, fish and so forth, that would be great

    Hi clay, just a small tip for your mountain bike try avoid putting it up side down because the hydraulic breaks get air in the hydraulic line and it can stop your breaks from working for a short time.

    Gd job on the vid budd, I too also carry 2 stick knives since dropping 1 in the water many yrs ago scrapping in a creek with a gd pig an only my dog on it. Tried to let it go numerous times but it kept on having a crack at me so the dog wood grab it again so ended up having to drown the bloody thing, not ideal as it kicked the crap out of me👎 I wood have much preferred a much faster more humane method believe me hence the 2nd knife.

    Hi Clay,i seen the way you sat your bike. That is the way i used to sit my bike upside down a lot,as it sat safer,so it would not roll off. What i always did was kept plastic bags & put them over the saddle to protect it from getting scuffed or ripped. Anyways another g0od video. CheeHeerZ!

    what you could do is drill a hole in your skinning knife (the handle) and tie a rope through it and then tie that to your sheath, then if it falls out of the sheath you will be able to grab it after it falls out, you should make the rope about 1 to 1.5 meters then it won't cut you if it falls out also.

      Yes and no if you don’t take your dog through the right spots look at the sign research the best times for your area what they are eating we’re they source it from all those sorts of things youl be most of the time unsuccessful you also must take care of your dog keep them fit fed right trained well not just in hunting in but in stock proofing and most of all obedience you could be not only unsuccessful but in trouble with the farmers I see it as a team effort but yes you are really just using the dogs natural instincts to this is a really good topic mate thanks for bringing it up I enjoy all hunting talk
