Only Kiwis Tramp, all others hike. Trampers probably can’t figure why Kiwi pig hunters chase pigs through thick gorse & blackberries & sometimes end up getting nothing for their efforts. When I lived there I did a bit of both, & sometimes I’d take me rifle for a tramp too. 😃

Lowa Ranger 3's are fantastic boots. A little bit clunky but good for deer stalking and also rigid enough for alpine. Always cheaper to buy lowa online from the UK, managed to grab mine for $350NZD rather than $600+ here

Lol tramping is for explorers. people who love being in the outdoors but don't necessarily enjoy harvesting. I suppose if they love it, leave them to their own devices. On a side note, if you're leaving pigs hanging clay, you can stuff manuka branches into the pig and it helps prevent flies.

Had good luck with Solomon boots. I do a lot of canyon hiking on Scrabble slopes here in the panhandle of Texas. They have served me well.
I think there is a place for them. They are lite. I just find that in snow or even wet grass they quickly get wet inside.
I’ve had Meindl Island boots now for several years. Very comfortable and hard wearing. Pricy but high quality.
Same here, brought some when I was shepherding and they were awesome, didn’t need breaking in and so comfortable! Worth the price tag 👍

hi mate , some boots that are ideal for alpine terrain are Han Wags which I have comfortable and have very good support and are reasonable priced, or the common lowa tibbets which are a wee bit pricey but you pay for what you get

Anything other than tramping isn’t really an option here in the UK. We have to make the best of what we’ve got - which isn’t that much compared to other countries unfortunately.

Those banded ones are cool looking. The look a bit like Mexican walking fish but just with out the legs.
Cracking hunt there Damon. A couple of good pigs, what more can you ask for. It looked delicious too. Good on Jody. I agree with you guys too on the tramping. I can never get why people do that then come back with nothing. Id rather be walking that far either to a river or back country lake somewhere or if your a hunter, in search for a pig or deer. That's my opinion anyway.. Great video.

I hunt tramp and fish sometimes it’s awesome just going 4 a walk in hills with like minded people especially if you have highly stressful jobs
Google and see if there's someone near you who sells unpasturised milk, it still has all those valuable enzymes in it and tastes so much better than the pasturised muck the supermarket sells
There is but I only use cream.
Grisport kaikoura boots, gauranteed to keep you dry in low water. Also they're unbelievably light.
