Not been well so been hunting on Utube. This was a great watch with some humorous moments. Most enjoyable laugh was when u described the broken roadside nap & the dogs pleading who shouldn’t get the lead pill. Dan seemed to be enjoying that scene too. I used to go hunting a lot with my family and friends but the best hunting trip I ever had was with my dad and my cousins we hunting black bear and one of my cousins was below my other cousin and I and there was a big male black bear on the other side of the tree sleeping so that's one of the best hunting trips I'll never forget because my cousin and the bear they were both looking at each other my cousin bailed out of the stand about the same time the bear did and my cousin took off to truck got in it locked doors my other cousin and I were laughing so hard because all he saying all the way back home was oh shit but hey man I absolutely love watching your videos keep up the good work mate

Awesome to hear Sean. I have always wanted to go to Texas. When my kids have grown up thats a place I need to visit. Great food, great hospitality, awesome hunting, great music and I hear the Texas whisky is pretty dam fine as well mate?
Texas is a real treat. In my opinion the best American Whiskey is bourbon and comes out of Kentucky (technicalities). You are correct about the food. Texas is so culturally diverse that you can find great ethnic food everywhere you go. I hope you come with plenty of time to travel because Texas, and the rest of the country, takes some time to drive around and see anything.
Seeing you and your buddies shaking hands after a successful harvest shows how natural it is for us to be in the woods. If you just change the accent I would swear you're a bunch of Texans. Hog season is open year round and don't be surprised when you meet someone who knows someone willing to help you carry a hog out of the woods. We truly enjoy sharing Texas.
p.s. At 34:30 are your friends hunting with henry lever guns?

6 weeks later and it's all been eaten and the lovely lady who gave me the last lot dropped in at the old farmhouse this morning with a leg of venison for me and some back straps for Dan. We are blessed to have good hunting mates

Before I forget yesterday I took my dog out and got a small pig it was a 15 to 20 lbs not big but it’s something lol

Ive been a construction worker all my life, I spent half my apprenticeship on a concrete mixer. Nothing kills work boots like concrete.
Hot tip, Motor oil is just about the best thing you can put on your boots. Keeps them supple, water proof and rot resistant. If some clowns says it will rot the stitching the answer is bullshit.

another awesome video clay and it's good to see more young blokes out hunting still couldn't believe he was 13, we got a cracker of a boar Saturday he easily went 100kg the dogs pulled him up very quick though so that was good, but it looks like you an adventure dan had a blast, keep up the good work and as always happy hunting

We've been eating it in our ready meals here for ages in the UK without being told about it....
If the hunting is a bit slow I still have to feed the crew. Between my girlfriend and I we have between 4-6 hungry young mouths to feed and there is always someone staying at the old farmhouse here.

Good report there John. Tucky is not shaping up very well according to Phil. Early days still but she certainly is not hunting out like her siblings Boo & Bob. Both her parents were very late starters as well.

The one that got away was a short walk in the hills and the one we caught was only about an hour carry back to the truck.

Old Bruno ever go hunting anymore ?
He mainly is a guard dog but I take him out from time to time just to keep his hand in . He is slow so mostly only catches the small pigs that fall behind. If you don't get there fast enough he eats them starting with their guts, head and then front end. It's not rare to turn up and find half a pig or even just small feet poking out of his mouth.

Shooting a running pig goes against everything us dog and knife hunters believe in mate. If the dogs can't find and stop the pig it stays on the hill for another day.

Well spotted mate. I did . We went to visit the bloke I sold her to in this clip. That was his farm we were hunting on at the beginning of this video.
I might be slow at 65, but I get the job done and I don't leave good eating meat in the woods. I have a 28 yr old, 230 pound, 6ft 6in friend who killed a 100lbs boar hog, took pictures and left it in the woods because it was to heavy to carry out of the woods. I would have put it on the cart and brought it home. You don't kill to take pictures, I really chew him a new A$$ over that. If it is going to die, you have the obligation to eat it...like you do every time, either that or you feed it to the dogs, but good use comes from the death of an animal or you don't take it. I see you are just the same.
