Oceiros, the Consumed King Information
This boss fight is optional for "Link the Fire" ending; however, it is required for "The End of Fire" ending.
You can summon Hawkwood, the Deserter to help you. His summon sign is located in the center of the platform before fighting the two Church Knights in front of the boss room. If you do not see his sign then you must first defeat the Abyss Watchers and afterwards talk to him in Firelink Shrine to receive the Farron Ring, you must also defeat the Crystal Sage and make sure that Hawkwood has left the shrine.

Deals Strike Damage (1st phase only), Standard Damage and Magic Damage damage. Can kill player by Curse and damage FP points.
Weak to Lightning Damage and Frostbite.
Resistant to Magic Damage and Bleed.
Immune to Poison and Toxic.
Can be riposted if his head is hit enough times. (Took 4 hits within 60 seconds on ng+3 with a +5 Black Knight Sword)

Once I was using ember right before the boss arena, that son of bitch kicked the shit out of me and starting hitting me until I die. I thought he would stop chasing like those guys before Deacons.
Advice for the fight in second phase, while you do need nerves of steel to dodge, best way is to dodge INTO him when he starts ragingly swipe at you, hes aggressive and fast but hes too blinded by rage to lock onto you, and prepare to side dodge the charge when you get a glimpse of him moving forward but do it imediatly because he moves a lot faster then it seams. Otherwise play carefully and only strike when are close enough for a blow, the fight requires lots of patience.
damn i just cornered that boss near that entrance to get the pose thus his charge and rage attacks were easily canceled and my weapon yeeted that boss in existence

+Pelle Sand Just get him into a corner and roll as necessary. Beat him second try. Basically treat him life sif. XD You've probably beat him by now, but he was one of the easiest bosses in the game for me.

the problem with this boss is that it's 2nd phase was made bloodborne style because combat was originally faster. it was turned down though but they forgot to turn down some enemies too. like this boss. it's way too quick. just like the bird things in the road of sacrafices

This boss is definitely hard, you fuck up once and you’ll just get steam rolled. I had more trouble with this boss than the dancer.

The Ludwig of DS3. You do not know how many time Oceiros does his jumpmattack when I fight him, he does about 6 times in a row.

I gave up after a cathedral knight great sword wielder FUCKING GLITCHED INTO THE GODDAMN BOSS ROOM AT THE START OF THE SECOND FUCKING STAGE and than I just got cornered by the knight and had no stamina and and and... yeah my best attempt was also by far my worst so I took a break from that potential heart attack.

if youre struggling with the second phase, just go near the exit of the boss area. He will hit the wall most of the time when doing his lunging attacks.

You do not understand how much this helped. My problem was I was dodging away and forward at the wrong time. When he jumps up and slams down, I jumped forward and got hit, and jumped backwards when he was hitting with his cane.

well in his defense I had trouble focusing when a cathedral knight with a great sword glitched into the fog gate after chasing Hawkwood and yeah.. try focusing when that crap happens and you can't walk two steps without something coming at you.
My first time playthrough in 2021, i fought this boss with my +10 heavy curve greatsword lighting buffed and this boss died in 45 seconds. My easiest boss fight in Dark Souls 3 even Ancient Wyvern battle took me 2 times, still couldn't believe that!

beavis4play this happens, believe me. I easily defeated pontiff and watchers but I had a really hard time with old demon king. It really depends on the person
@@bayydh8905 - watchers are an easy fight - no surprise there. but so is old demon king. pontiff is tougher than either took me 8-10 tries to beat him - but ANYONE who says the dancer is an "easy fight" doesn't know what they're talking about.

He's a very easy boss, it's just that spinning tail swipe that hits like a tank lol. Watch out for that and you're good to go!

As a bloodborne vet I hardly ever die to this boss on my play throughs, but you have to be VERY patient. Even some of the windows it seems like you’re meant to get an attack in, he will fake you out and get another combo or lunge in.

After playing monster hunter I was trying to cut off his tail
Didn't even know this boss existed but he's a easy first try kill. Just roll into his body when he attacks.

as long as you roll into him he literally never hits you. and you can dodge all of his attacks.
But if he DOES hit you, your screwed. From Software did a very good job having bosses that uniquely rely on insta-kills. From what I've played, there was only 4 bosses I actually enjoyed killing

For me, oceiros was quite easy. It did take all my heals, but I just used my shield to block a lot. The last 1/4 of his hp I did without healing

I used pestilent mist to get him down to the 2nd phase. But this is a sorcerer thing so i recommend the video for non sorcerers.
The first time I went in blind and started attacking him with lighting lots of damage

This boss seems a lot harder than it is, everything but his crystal attacks can be blocked. The first stage you can stay beneath him and dodge most of his stuff. The only danger is running out of stamina in the second stage or him catching you when rolling
Piromancer guide: spam the superfireball you get transposing a soul. Stay calm learn his attacks and attack just by the distance after his easier cooldowns. Piromancer makes the game easy compared with melee
I’ve only fought him once at the moment most beat him actually, I’d say it’s the risk of wearing down your estus before you even get to him tbh I might up just have to speed run the area bc it’s not particularly long

i think i used wolf blood greatsword (artorias greatsword) and i did about 500 dmg per hit, this guy was one i ended up first trying

I still wonder how I killed him during my first run and later couldn't without cheese.
would a greadshield help? I mean the small ones dont really give much stability but at leats in the other games I was able.for example in DS2 to survive the dodge of the royal rat authority even with a bit stamina because I 2handed a greatshied, then when it was over me swapped to something pointy and sharp.
I was awful at rolling through his attacks so I tried to just block a few with my shield of want... I now see how much easier he is and kill him every NG solo XD
hit his head around 3 times with a ultra great sword got a reposte on him sure helped out :)

Apparently just rolling into his stupid fucking flurry charge turns this bossfight into a massive cakewalk. I didn't even take a hit,,,,, Incredible boss design. I'm not angy, you're angy :(

Try beating this guy with a sorcerer class, now that's a true challenge
Beat him on my first try by staying beneath him half the time. I literally got more damage from the stupid poison that was damaging me from earlier in the section
i just summoned hawkwood and made him take the aggro just running towards the boss makes his attack void
I just beat this boss on my 2nd try....all u have to do in the first phase is stay close and watch his wind up. 2nd phase dodge his charge and attack from behind...pretty damn easy. I was sad :(
3rd try, I got him to 1 hit first try but ran out of estus, he clapped me second try then I adjusted third try and had no estus or ashen estus left after the fight. My lightning urns came in clutch, this was ng+ I missed him first time around
This boss is to goddamn wild
I made it the furthest on my first attempt, managing to get him to such low health that a single swipe would have done the trick, but he did a wierd move that took my entire health bar

Charcoal Pine Resin sorts him out proper. Fire up your weapon then beat the Lord into him!

If you get +10 sellsword twinblades then it will take 33 hits on ng+ and because he has 9632 health on ng+ not counting using a bundle or resin hes weak to
To be really honest, all you have to do is roll a few times like the jump, and the chargest and 360 degree swipes, otherwise just sit under him and keep attacking. he'll be gone in a second
I actually felt bad killing him. He was only protecting his son (which he was probably imagining) from harm. And after he finds out that he really isn't there, he loses his sanity. How evil do you have to be to kill sometime going through that? Yet I wanted the chaos blade so ;(
That's what I thought at first. But he literally smashes his son to the ground out of rage. If Ocelot was there and invisible just like most of the dragon abomination, then he's probably dead.

He is not that strong, it's just that his attacks are a bit random and very aggressive

Optional method: summon someone and make them do all the hard work as you throw fireballs from a safe distance :)
lol they should totally make ocelot his pet baby thing a boss in one of the dlcs- i mean it clearly escaped his grasp lol so make from sif dragon hybrid boss thing- id be down
+TVT o n s t o r his Ocelotte is a child of dragon, which mean it probably the same with Emerald Herald so i not sure if it will be much of a boss.
