Another way to think about it is just descending thirds. If you use 3 note voicings for each chord, each next chord will have 2 of the same notes as the chord prior (ex. Eminor- E G B to Cmaj- C E G). This is why it never resolves because it always leads into the new chord.

The prs is a beautiful guitar. I'm an owner of a fender american standard with ssL1 pickups.. sounds vintage and gorgeous. John frusciante sound oozes out of this guitar. Love it.

Basically, rather than looking at the chords in relation to each other as 6ths I.e. E up to C, think of them as E moving down to C and now they’re thirds instead of 6ths, which is what you would call a mediant chord
