What lick would you include on this list?
Thunderstruck
Literally all the licks in the Legendary Licks series
035
A thicc licc
bro, maybe the best bender was bb king?? he was the king of vibrato btw
When I was younger I use to fiddle around with the guitars at my grandpa’s house. He had this old les Paul that I really liked and said when he was younger he bought that guitar from an old man for 100$. When I was older we took it down to Nashville to get it looked at and it turned out to be a 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. The store owner said it’s probably worth around 70,000$. Now it’s a family heirloom.
interesting, do you have pictures of it?
Aaaand he never replies.
oMikey xx Either he doesn’t reply just, or he is one of those guys. If you know what I mean.
My dream guitar

On behalf of all ADD stricken people, I thank you.
God bless you. As said Mr Presley once, a little less conversation and a little more action please.
Maybe add 2:35 "If Dave Mustaine and James Hellifield had a love child cameo."
Red House is 100% my favorite Hendrix song. The "That's all right, I still got my guitar, watch out now" right before the solo always gets me. If Jimi's warning you, you know shit's going to go down.
one of the best comments on youtube.......... If Jimi's warning you, you know shit's going to go down........ hell yeah!!
Do a " licks that will become legendary in years to come" video
I can’t even play a lick in the guitar store without feeling embarrassed. This guy just filmed a whole video in there. Respect
I think it's a green screen

Ah yes, the 5 greatest musicians, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, ZZTop, Comfortably Numb, and Hotel California

You're forgetting Tyler Larson
You forgot the BEST guitarist ever who inspired many like Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Brian May, Slash, Buckethead, Jimmy Page, and BB King, Lil Wayne! He's like a Black Jimi Hendrix!

***yeah, big brain time***
A well cultured person, watched PewDiePie and MIW. Damn well rounded person
Legendary licks you thought were more complicated than they actually are (because of the effects used on them)
That’s a good idea, so many licks have subtle effects like delay that makes you think how are they playing all those notes.
And octave pedals
Sweet idea.
Cool
Like a stone
The idea of "the most meaningful note in the solo" is why I subscribed to you. It's so refreshing.
One legendary licks - Stairway to Heaven

rockychieng88 he is in a guitar store! How can he play that lick?
@@rubiksmasters5675 wooooosh
No stairway. Denied!
I was a little disappointed he didn't sneak that in there.
Dude, I'm so happy I live around half a mile away from that store. That's where I got a 1969 fender stratocaster with an ash body, that stores amazing.
That was a great review of some really sweet licks. I like how you just play it then highlight what really makes it unique. That really helps us develop our own sound. Thanks Tyler
Hey Tyler,
Nice to see you in Chicago at my guitar shop Chicago Music Exchange 👍. Very professional and friendly staff. I've had several guitars set up by their staff as well as I've bought a few guitars from them. Again great store, fun place to go, blows guitar center away.
"bad yelp review with an amazing guitar solo in the middle" i died lol
Dude I've been watching a bunch of your videos lately and you are really the best source for guitar insight on RUclips. Your passion for guitar, music and teaching is so palpable that you have not only reinspired me to become obsessed with guitar again but you have in many ways changed the way I approach it. Thank you for all of your insight 🤘
Amen. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I totally agree!
Well said brother
I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS VIDEO SO LONG! Thank you Music For Win, You`re a great RUclipsr and a even better guitarist!
This was a kool vid, Tyler! Nice work & great axes to boot! Great ending with Angus's Shook Me--- solo!

"This is the store every guitarist should visit once in their life"
Me: Literally lives in the other side of the world ( *crying* )
I feel for ya, I visited this store decades ago. It was muuuuch smaller then. Glad they've had success, sad that I stopped in too early :D
There are a lot of teachers on the interweb, but your technical knowledge, combined with never forget to add a lot of feel to it, combined with humor, and my favorite is the ability to find significance of the little notes. That's not listening, that's living for the music, giving everything you got.
This video alone has boosted my skills massively. Thank you!
Bethany in fetch axes mode (doing the heavy lifting) at 6:12.
13:45 It's starting to sound like NAMM in here 😂😂😂
Even you here .... from Rudy ayoub's channel
Don't you wish Andriy Vasylenko, Rudy Ayoub, Music is Win, and Kevin Frasard would collab?
@@voxterh.6166 hell yeah. That would be one interesting video.
you comment in every Music RUclips Channel comment section, hahaha.
M'lord it's you again
I absolutely love this place! So many artists and bands go here for rare/vintage gear. I always try to stop by when I head down from Wisconsin.
Man you're good! Real talk...like the way break it down and your approach is one of a kind.
Legendary licks that you thought were legendary (and they are)
Holy
Didn't he already do that though?
He already did that afaik
Sam Frabel I’m just saying that’s kinda what this video is haha
Legendary licks that are legendary because of guitar hero
Dude, your chops are incredible!
Awesome lessons! great advice! Great licks!
Ouuu Legendary Licks that were played only on a Fender guitar (but a Gibson guitar was used sometimes)
4:34 “Grab the g string without making any noise!” Lol
Aaaand simultaneously bend *it* up
Loved what you said about bending and I concur, so much emotion comes thru that one technique
and that was another legendary video!!!!!! great job
At 14:48, great quote, Tyler...One of the best lines ever into the song goes:..."My key won't unlock the door...my baby, she don't live here no more...Still got my geetar"...
"I'm gonna play the whole comfortably numb solo"
*dude walks away quickly in background*
love your videos. You and Stevie should team up more often. You two are the best.
I watch 100s of guitar lessons. Your ability to teach is definitely a cut above most. Excellent
Native Texan here to confirm that "La Grange" rhymes with "the range"
Also, Gibbons sings it during the first verse.
I was thinking the same thing
App-lickable
-Tyler 2019
This guy makes awkward pauses seem smooth. Appreciate the content sir.
Good job. I was entertained!
Damn it's 6 am on the first day of school. Still gotta try to be here early
Bruh the second comfortably numb solo is just so much better tho😂
Thanks for keepin’ Rock alive! I cant listen to classic rock on the radio anymore because they play nickelback and coldplay. i just have my fav songlist through my bluetooth earbuds all workday long
Glad to see the bends in the comfortably numb solo getting kudos. I'm a huge fan of David Gilmour. And you couldn't have said it better, bends do give that emotion to guitar we feel. Awesome vid broseph
As a native Texan the way you pronounced “la grange” did physical harm to my ears.
How is it pronounced?
La-Graun-G
And as a Georgian. We have one too.

Dude sick. You should check out this store in Utah. Mid Valley Guitar Gallery. The owner builds guitars you will never see anywhere else!

In hotel california i like the “woba deb woba do”
Great video. It's funny, that comfortably numb bend was the one I had to try over and over again and I never made it sound good. Until now I didn't know why. For me it's easier to do it with the whammy, though probably not the proper/original way to do it.
A lick to add: turnaround lick from crossroads. For me the sound of this really explains the meaning of a turn around.
Great video and beautiful guitars. That Les Paul is ridiculous.
I miss Chuck Berry, he has got some of the greatest licks for soloing.
Alex Zandonella oh he’s had some great licks alright ...
And piss and shit in the mouth videos. R. Kelly has nothing on chuck. What a freak. Just ask the FBI. They have the videos.
Legendary licks you think are played on guitar (but aren't)?
Seven Nation Army
Joker thats a joke right?
Joker your name is kinda indicating that you are
N.i.B. It was widely thought that song was played on a bass initially.
Deadpool williams
Come and get your love, which was played on an Electric Sitar.
Started video with my fav.lespaul❤️❤️...i to myself now this is going to be awesome 😍😍❤️
It's LaGrange with a long "a" as in range with a "g". It's a little town just west of Houston. It used to be the home of the famed Chicken Ranch until Marvin Zindler of Eyewitness News got the place shutdown. The song is about the Chicken Ranch. Nice lesson. I learn a lot from your videos and I am studying your lessons.
Inb4 The Eagles take your video down for having 2 seconds of Hotel California.
'Notorious blockers'
-Rick Beato, every video
5:17 WHAT ARE THOSEEEEEE
Forgot to mention I love their amp and pedal selection as well as the swag there.
We love those licks too!
This is 100 legendary licks that every guitar player should know in one take.
Honorable mention.....Stairway To Heaven
The legendary licks series is my favorite
Another amazing win video. Re: La Grange - it’s a town between Austin and Houston. I live in Austin and my family lives in Houston, so it’s on my way. Around here, we say “luh-GRAYNGE” with at least 400 milliseconds spent on the “A.” Since ZZ Top are from Houston, I always called this song “luh-GRAYNGE,” which rhymes, and ends with, “range.” IDK about the song, but I know about the town.
To play AC/DC, you need a gibson sg.
Why does your BASS have 6 strings? Weird
P.D: really love your vids!
That guitarstore looks so clean and nice, wish to go to usa in the future!
that's right there hotel California lick. finally heard someone played on youtube.. i haven't seen lot of player doing that part right on youtube and outside also.. glad you did that.
I knew the lick from hotel California before you played it!
10 Legendary licks That are legendary ( cause Tyler doesnt play a PRS on any OF these)
Thank you! Will keep shreddin' 😁
Visited the CME in 2014; I was focused on drums at the time. The drum area is just as impressive, which is saying a lot, because that guitar area is a MONSTER!
6:11 Bethany just casually walks in the background
shouting : no Tyler doesn't need anymore guitars god damn it keep that away :p
Ain't casual, she's shuttling gitties to Tyler so he can be all gitty masterful and kewl.
I’m in the middle of my local guitar store. Why Tyler. Why do you have to upload now? 😂😂
Edit: How did I get 200 likes?? 😂
Edit 2: 400??! 🤯
you need 7s to play billy gibbons, dude.
Stairway to heaven?
CONFLICTED INTEREST no, stairway to the elevator which leads to an escalator which then leads to a trampoline which then leads to heaven...
Because you're gay. And fake.
You ruined your comment with the edits
Chicago!!! I live about an hour northwest of there and I take a pilgrimage to CME almost every time I'm in the city.
I KNEW it was gonna be THAT lick when I saw that hotel california was on this list, and I've been wanting to learn that lick for a while now. Thank you!
what is the most important guitar technique? bending. Who is the best at that? gilmour. therefore... ;>
Others seeing Gibson: "Hmm, nice."
Me seeing Gibson: "pLaY aUthenTiC"
Why is this channel so good
The outro solo on Rosanna has some sick technique. Would love to see a video lesson on that. Also the outro on Running with the night, Lionel Ritchie, similar style lead with some jazzy style phrasing.
WHAT THE HELL Music is Win you forgot the most legendary lick of all Smoke ON the Water!
You should've done 100 riffs while you were there.
Great video- great licks played awesomely- I'd add any lick from Into the Arena -MSG or any Schenker UFO lick
First solo I learned. Still one of my favorites.
*looks at thumbnail
Me: I swear to god if you play AC/DC on a tele.....
A tele isn't a bad guitar. This guitar has a powerfull sound.
Legendary licks you think are bad (because then are)
I came to Chicago Music Exchange just to look around and ended up walking out with a ‘69 Fender Bassman just cuz it was such an amazing amp and the people there were so great.
bending involves having a good enough ear...
nah its practice
FYI Le Grange is pronounced “LEE GRONGY”
LMFAO😂
I knew that was CME from the thumbnail. God I love that place. I remember when they were just a little shop on Clark st over shadowed by Guitar Center a few doors down. Between them, GC, the skate shop and the comic book shop, it made Clark and Belmont my own personal heaven.
lovely songs
Why do those *BASSES* have 6 strings? Weird.
everytime you say "this is the lick" i expect 'the lick' to come out
Pretty cool CME is an awesome store. Do more like this at different stores
Great video
Yo, I love your videos. But everyone please Go Check out this video again. It's not a glitch. Someone teleported in the background. Watch from 14:30 until 14:44
yo wtf
he cut the video
it’s called another room or a mirror
he cut the video dumb dumb
This physically hurts to hear this shit.
