Mam can you answer my question that i am working on a corporate for last 2.5 years i get small position but my salary structure is not good and also they transfer me a odd location that’s i didn’t want, i got promotion 3 months ago but not that much good hike, i want to leave that job but i am little bit nervous that if they create problems what can i do then please answer me as soon as possible
Right! Gotta get out of a situation before they demoralize your worth. There's a lot of other opportunities out there who will appreciate our worth 🙌🙌🙌💯🍻
Congrates to everyone who left stress and anxiety job I've also left 80K per month job because of health issues in rotational night shift. Cherrs and enjoying no job from past 4 months adding one more thing everyone running towards having a gf and maine bhabhi set kr li apnr ghr ke samne 38 years having two kids. 😅
Is easy to say, if you have $$ at the bank, they cut my hours drastically on my job. I tried to apply for Unemployment, ID me doesn’t answer my e-mails so they can’t identify me. If I don’t go to work, how am going to pay my rent? I feel trap and soo depress😡
The number one hint is : gut feeling. You will know, if you are honest to yourself, that something is wrong. And if something is wrong, it does not get better with time.
@@deliveryguyrx same I always have this feeling, that I can't fit it. I am working for more than year and I am already started to feel burned out and depressed.
@@deliveryguyrx From my experience, just do the job for the sake of pay or salary, so that you dont be demorlized if you have take big step because you are not counting on anyone
How does one do this? I’ve been a in a the wrong job for a year knowing from month 3 it wasn’t for me. I feel like it’s very hard to get the next opportunity?
Finding a job with good people is so important for mental health and growth. Staying in a toxic work environment is one of the worst things you can do to yourself professionally and personally.
Especially when you work around snakes who talk behind your back and their is favouritism 😢 and the manager talks about your business to the whole workshop
Leave immediately if you are more talented than your boss. This will happen due to transfer etc. knowingly no boss will hire a smarter guy than himself.
I feel like i shouldnt be a unicorn, but i always hired peoole smarter than me in the skills i sucked at. It didnt mean they were smarter than me in general, but I definitely saw value in hiring people that could do things i couldn't. It didnt make sense for me as a manager to try and know/do everything. Some people have amazing skillsets and id rather know i have that person on my team than me do a half ass job.
It was so bad that even the boss started copying my behavior and my way of thinking... after few years of harassment from him, I finally left. He didn't allow me to do my job properly, everything was a threat to him.
The manager in my workplace is so malignant that many people just walked out without giving any notice. I gave my resignation letter last week and can not wait for this to be over. Surely, your mental health is too important to tolerate harrasments and bullying, whether in an active or passive form.
Five Points: 0:48 Leave Before It Gets Messy 2:31 The Sweet Trap 4:04 No Growth or Very Little Work 5:23 Work Is Downgraded 6:56 No Reward For Up-scaling
Most company do not reward for upscaling...u only get your monetary worth after you exit , or when u put down your papers ... am writing from practical experience
Also, I will suggest to add Red Flag no.6 - Lack of Mutual respect, Transparency and Trust in communication, which I believe one of the most important value at your workplace.
I had bumped heads with my store manager. He came to me and said he wanted to start fresh. I said that’s fine but I still don’t trust him. Now, he keeps it short , talks to the other coworkers , barely acknowledges me and my improvements around the workplace and leaves me out of conversations. He is very immature. He is a drama queen too. But he has a whole wide and two kids at home. But he notices that I’m unbothered by him.
I am a Fresher at my current job & I see this attitude from my co-workers. Maybe because I make many mistakes, then again, I'm a Fresher so I'm bound to make mistakes
Mine was definitely #1. My boss would visibly cringe whenever I spoke. She spent more time trying to undermine me than actually solve problems for the business.
Same happened with me. My manager never cared to appreciate my worth and just went ahead with constantly finding loopholes in my work. I had to resign for peace of mind✌️
That is just horrible. I've been there. I also managed others and I can tell you there is nothing wrong with you. As a manager, even with people I didn't like at first glance, I made it my responsibility to get to know them, to make the effort and I always loved them in the end. It is not about you, it is about lousy managers.
@@nvr5490managers need to talk to everyone! My manager shows favoritism and acts so childish. He barely speaks to me I just keep it professional with him.
Good analysis. Many employees fall prey to the sweet trap. Another misconception is "don't leave till you have another job in hand." I believe that is the worst reason to continue in a toxic work environment.
That's not a misconception. It's a fact. It's always better to have another opportunity before you leave one. Otherwise, the level of stress you will be facing after leaving your current job will be many times greater than the level of stress you were having while having that job! If in case it's not the same for you, then that's an exception where you can leave your job first and then look for another one.
@@amanmanojpreeti It's all about planning. Mostly financial planning. Also, your networking skills, how you have developed your network and your capabilities play a role. A mediocre performer will be stuck in a toxic workplace for eternity. One or the other excuse will always be there.
Left a toxic workplace yesterday. They pushed me right out the door into a better job. They've asked me to reconsider but that chapter is over. I'm glad I left as a professional while maintaining character and integrity. (uncommon values in that environment)
No growth, no big fat salary..no respect ...my resignation letter is ready in my desk 🥰just working hard to find another job so i can save up and open up my own business
Also: 1. If your vertical/team is not recognised 2. If your boss is weak and powerless 3. If your boss's boss is stupid 4. If business is not happening well 5. If your profile/boss is downgraded/disrespected 6. Your gut feel
please add this to your list, 1. no active projects or measurable work coming from management 2. no growth in the team or in the company 3. massive spending on team dinners and parties as if there is no tomorrow 4. no communication by management on your current workload or future tasks 4. lots of team gossips about others - this is big list and more. most important is after layoffs people usually landup in far better job elsewhere 👍
What if it is complete opposite of point no.3 ..... if a company is not spending anything on fun things, parties, dinners, team building fun activity, no gifts at all in year (like diwali or birthday etc.) ? ........... Happened with me, company pretty good and well reputed for contributing to India (maybe you can guess), I was also highly rated in my 1st appraisal 1st job, but still less increment percent ;;;;; I feel not very happy, but maybe i am wrong
I was harassed from day one in the newly assigned Client project. I was told no release will be given, instead disciplinary HR action will be taken for not following official timings as the client has escalated it. Hardly anyone was following it anyway but I was only one being cherry picked. Keep in mind 11-12 hrs of work doesn't matter to them + 3 hrs travelling, Saturday work. Can't take leave, have to use only comp offs as leave will affect their billing. When I said I will come by 9am then leave by 6pm everyday, the response was- you will get that kind of appraisal. I resigned today in a messy way & there is a very high probability that they will make my notice period hellish as possible. In India, these big MNCs are practising Modern Day Bonded Labour. I feel pity for those who can't muster the courage to end this slavery. IMO, Self respect should be paramount!

This is because there's lot of freshers and female candid waiting to work for less. It's better to do own business after accumulating some money rather than being a mule.
I was working in the same office as a senior colleague. She was friendly and I sought her out for advice. However, behind her smile she was a snake. One time, I made a mistake, she made it a point to complain about me behind my back to senior management and went on later to explain that she did it for my benefit. Since then, I have learned to be aware of my surroundings and the people I keep close. These are unknown dangers lurking in the office.
I so relate to point #1. My manager on the new account within the company was never happy with anything I did. He gave me constructive feedback 2 weeks after I got promoted 😝 Always left me so confused, till the day when he gave me a feedback that should not be “too jovial” and “interact too much” on the floor 😝 Am an extrovert and people tend to love this quality but somehow this microdick guy doesn’t like me because of this 😝 I resigned soon after because my personality is something I would not change for a mere job.
I lost my job recently, I actually see myself in everything you talked about in this video, my coworkers even talking shit behind my back, spreading rumors thats not even true, only becouse they hate me. I'm actually happy to leave that job, to take up my studies again, thats what everyone should focus on really!
Dear Friends, i have a total 12 years of work exp, the first point is VERY VERY TRUE.. Leave the organization when you and your manager dont get along well. There should be no reasons to stay back.
Spot on! o my detriment, I have ignored nearly every one of those red flags and regretted it later on. Two generations ago staying loyal to one employer was often a very well reward thing. Those days are mostly gone, especially if you notice any of the red flags in the vid! Great info. Thanks.
Working for Good Boss is more important than a great Company. I realised it while reporting to my boss and also when my Team started reporting to me.. don't worry...both times had a very healthy environment 😊
Same happened with me in PwC.The manager was so worst at the end that he decided to throw me out even after I gave the better performance."leave before it get messy". Managers sometime feels they are God and they can do anything.
Mine was 1. Keep taking on more and more projects without increasing the number of employees. 2. Delays the promise 6 month evaluation/increase. Or if you only bring it up. 3. No pay for overtime. But decreases your salary for tardiness. 4. Compulsory be available anytime. Else, you should inform hin of your personal schedules during rest days just so he knows that you are "busy" 5. His use of the word "family" is just soo weird for me everytime. 6. Does not orientate you or discuss with you additional tasks you will be taking after a colleague left. He terms it as "help" and if you didnt help him, you become the bad guy. 7. Your coworker is his son. And he does almost next to nothing. So you get the brunt of his work. 8. His son's mistakes are yours. Because he cant get his shit up to tell off his own son as the boss. 9. Randomly creates rules that is not written on memo nor been implemented before. 10. Offers minimum compensation and tell you that you will be gaining skills and learning to equal it. I should really leave. Sigh. Writing this made it open my eyes wide. I just find it hard to leave because my coworkers have been very kind and me leaving will then result to a lower number of workers therefore jampacking them with work. 😢
Yesterday I decided to leave company because I don't want to tolerate emotional abuse and discrimination my mind stability is more important than aganist some pennies now i will push myself for better job
No. 4... My boss harassed & compelled me to get higher levels of qualifications, of which I happily wanted to do anyway , but then she accused me of only furthering my education so that she'd have to pay me more. Hearing that confirmed that my boss is toxic & that she wants the highest standard of work & employee, but she just wants to pay them an unfair bare minimum. I told her that it's not working out that I remain her employee & that I wanted to leave..... My new employer appreciates my efforts for her & she compensates me fairly to make it mutually worthwhile for both of us & I couldn't be happier. Our work life is too short to put up with an employer that wants to psychologically & financially use & abuse us & if we put up with it we are just hurting ourselves. Thanks for the video.
Sweet trap means ki behla fusla ke apna kaam log aapse karwaayenge office mei, right taaki unki kahi jaana ho toh jaa sake aur aapka time barbaad ho,working hours badhe and uska compensation ke tor pe paise bhi na mile

#4 Happened with me. I completed one of my certifications and even had a discussion with my HR as a request if they would be able to increase my salary or at-least give a bonus. Nope they didn't after waiting for few months. I knew it's a major red flag for me, so I exited peacefully.
All 5 of your points are valid ones and I can vouch for all of them to be true after I learnt about them the hard and bitter way. My manager and supervisor in my company where I worked 10 years ago had got an unexplainable friction with me inspite of I being the top performer for month on month for over three years straight. I would get the highest amount of appreciations but no monetary or even leaves benefits in the organisation. Infact, inspite of being the highest performer, they conspired along with the supervisor and the HR to even throw me out of the company. The company was Hewlett Packard before the split. Now look what has happened to the company and the part of the organisation where I worked was so unceremoniously spat out from the parent organisation to become what is today called DXC with all of its brand value gone and even those managers left without anything to feel proud about.
I've seen this happen every now and then, and in many orgs. However, things are changing in hybrid mode, where the ability to add something to the table on your own is paramount.
@@muruganr4581 true. I think nowadays, you need to be adding something from your own to the table and only then will you have a place in the organisation. No more nepotism and office politics is still there but reduced to some extent.
My two exits in 2 companies, 1. company's people 10000 yr back culture (they don't like festival, birthdays...) 2. company say time is 9-6 then all days they work 9-7:30 atleast, (not get work life balance , only work)
I admire your sense of assessing these red flags..The fact is many people don't realise this that no matter how hard you work some organizations which will never be uplift u.
I can relate to all of these, I've even reported my manager, HR wants to speak to me but I'm out sick right now. I have a job lined up and there's three other staff members planning on leaving too. Time to move forward there's more to life and plenty of jobs out there even an in-between job is better than staying in a toxic environment
#1 happens very often - it is so common in industry these days, that it is very hard to avoid this kind of situation since it is out of your own control. Sometimes you have to sit it out a bit. But not too long, correct! #2 occurs often with supervisors who say the opposite of what they actually do. It often follows this pattern. Try to move on from such person. #3 is also called minimizing. Was once in this situation and left by myself before something worse could happen. #4 is often in conjunction with supervisor behavior of having favorites - few favorites get all the credit where others are (ab)used to support them. If two ore more of #1 to #4 are currently present at work - often they come as sort of combination -, get out of there.
I had to leave a workplace/school enviroment after a coworker/colleauge decided to make it his missioon to spread slander and another DEAN of the school spread that I was lazy when she barely read any of my work AND EVEN TOLD ME TO not go in depth in my review paper. WHEN I Got THE REVEIWS BACK ont he paper the reveiwers ALL WANTED what my first plans for the paper were. I realized long before I couldnt be successful there. How could I? everyone seemed to be unable to allow progression of others.
You’re the first HR professional I respect. Thanks for creating this video!! Rest of 99.9999% are not required, should be eliminated from any org like termites. I think colleges should shop HR degrees, so that no people with degrees. Simply put, I HATE THEM THE MOST.
Problem is when your company doesn't even ask you to resign due to no work and you're being persistent not to stay anymore and to harm your future prospects. Simply raises so many doubts in your next hiring process which dampens your prospects drastically 😢
Was getting friction, there pushing people too hard and i complained they didnt like that and fired me after 20 years, never stay with a company that doesnt appreciate you!!
@theCorporateDiaries Im glad i saw your video. Im in a pretty unsettling situation at my current job where this list is almost to the letter. Alot of this "Were a supportive family, youre very good at your job, etc" but its a weird vibe right now. Thank you for the insight!
Thanks for making this video and discussing it. May be if I knew all this before, at least I could save myself from the mental stress and emotional trap laid by the start-up company. Most of the companies even do the same with their interns as well; at the end, they behave like... I've got no words, now I scared to apply to any other company.... If I feel the company has not behaved properly with me,As intern... do I have any right to legally complain against them ?
I think it will be better for you to move ahead, instead of fighting with company. You may win but you will lost your precious time and energy at such. Keep practicing with new courses in market and move ahead. Now you may not accept the decision easily, but am sure Later you will realise that it was good decision. I have gone through same.
Indian laws are so bised that company can buy your lawyer or judges to make you loose legal battle, There is no lebor laws have no provision to support victim employee, Just leave it and find other good work with good Salary, If you have skills you can start again in other company, I my self fooled by ex employer some years ago, I just resigned peacefull and found other good job, I don't even remember a name of those trouble manager's, So just move on friend
I am having massive friction with my boss and like you mentioned in this video, we clash and something changes in the dynamic when we communicate. In all our meetings she keeps mentioning issues and I'm trying to improve but it's taking time and she has no patience and it's clear she wants me out of the door.
I see those types of bosses as a challenge/competitor that I need to beat. It takes a lot of patience, but it's amazing how much more skilled and cunning you get with this mindset. Doesn't work for all situations though, some bosses are so toxic, it's just best for your own mental health to leave and secure the good reference for another job.
Then leave b4 she throws u out or else it will be too late. I was forced to leave in 2022 & up to now I'm not settled yet due to a bad recommendation every where I have tried to get a job!!!
never happened with me as I cannot function in a toxic environment. Yes it does take time because I was the sole breadwinner so had to cope. Most Employers dont care....as money is prime objective and people are in que to join....But one thing is why seniors or managers do not realise that there may be a situation wherein the employee may hold a grudge and take revenge. Or something which many may not beleive...atleast beleive in Karma???? What goes around comes around.
I really appreciate this video, as I have never heard these things before. I am currently dealing with #1, 3 and 5. I have been debating whether I should apply for new jobs, but now I have confirmation that indeed I must apply for new jobs asap! Thank you for sharing this content.
This has inspired me to put in my 30 day notice. It’s actually been a great job but it’s like a train that won’t stop. I’m on call 24/7 and there’s no success with my attempts to delegate or scale it back. With each year the pressure increases and I learn how to work faster and more hours. I just wanna get off the train and focus on caring for my elderly parents.
You have software services in mind when you mention these 5 indicators of Employer-Employee friction. Being a middle-level govt servant, I can tell you 4 of these apply to Govt. Service as well. Fortunately public servants get pay-hike as per time-scale even if their track-record is not good. This makes them complacent and irreverent.
The Sweet Trap and No Reward for Up-scaling are two Red Flags I am seeing happening to me now. Thanks so much for this great video. I'll have to start planning my exit.
I’m being sweet trapped at my job. They say I’m doing a great job and that I’m their more reliable employee, but I’ve worked there for almost a year and have not gotten a raise. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. I’m currently applying to other jobs.
I've left on time, or so I thought, but they made it so toxic during my notice period that I had an anger burst... I highlighted everything that was wrong and called out the 'personal bullying' that I've gone through...So - I've done everything right until it wasn't possible anymore... We're only human... I wanted it to be a "manager hand-shake" exit, instead most of my colleagues walked me out of the office building and my manager and I didn't greet each other... Ah well... I moved on to a senior management position at a different company. It's going well. DON'T be too afraid to say what you think, the right company won't care about what a petty manager thought about you at a previous job... However, really practice when you get an interview with a new company... Focus on the next thing more that on your current situation.
Hi, Thanks for the video. All 5 points discussed in video are correct. Also I think there could be another point (6th point) about consistent over-work or related burnout being reason of employee's resignation or search for other opportunity.
Leave peacefully when there's a bullying manager & let them go on to bully someone else? I don't think so. It's time for people to start challenging the workplace sociopaths.
@@HisExcellencyx I love it! You did the right thing. People who need to go on power trips against honest hard workers are, in fact, a drain on organizations. It's about time organizations realised this and acted upon it.

Appreciate all the points mentioned and they all are True. I’m planning to leave as well. Others in our office same the same thing pettiness, I receive emotional abuse and tons of blame for a new job I was asked to start with very little support, micromanaging, gossip about me that I know about from upper management and other crap. I’ve been here longer than the two a$$hats. Should’ve bailed years ago. My colleague is wanting to leave too.
I am working as designer but my company is telling me quality and production work as well. When I asked about this my manager told me you shouldn’t be deciding what you should do or what you shouldn’t be doing.
hello ma'am, Thanks for sharing this information...I realized that I am caught up in a sweet trap :) . I have delivered three projects as a team lead and still I am getting paid less than ppl who joined after me. There is no hike at all since I joined the company, it's been a year already
I was once in a job where there little to no work and the manager there blackmailed me and then threatened to fire me after I took some food out of the kitchen after a holiday's toast I realized I can no longer work there because he would abuse his power against me and send me threats so I left and now I am still not in the place I want to be but I have a direction I want to go
Refrain from using insulting words like "Kicked out" for tech professionals. They are not some thieves to be kicked out of the house. They are working hard to earn what they deserve. So HRs like you should be mindful of using such terms. Employees too leave when they have learnt enough in a particular company then in such a situation will you say that "The employee has kicked the company"? I guess No.
Tech ppl have been responsible for this . Their sycophancy and culture of politics has caused them to be viewed as a commodity. Their is no unity amongst all IT professionals. So as a consequence they sadly do get viewed as such.
Don't be emotional. Having seen IT industry corporate culture for multiple decades in various roles n levels (n still doing well as a pure techie, despite major n minor setbacks, politics etc); kickout is a terminology in which many seniors think. For many (not all though), people are just resources. N it's especially true in service industry. It may be one's pride which do not accept that such filth is being thought for self; but I'd say, no point in being emotiontional about it. I for one, despite being technically proven on multiple latest tech aspects (you can call them cutting edge technologies); know for sure that when I work as an employee, then I'm no more than a 'skilled worker' for top bosses. N if I work as manager (however powerful) , then I'm no more than a management coolie.
@@prashantchaudhari7199 I am not getting emotional. And no matter what bosses or HR think about their employees but when they open their mouth they have to maintain a decency.
@ much better, and I am happy to make the decision to move, even though its very hard to learn new skills, but having to manage toxic workplace is harder
RULE 1: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR JOB WITHOUT HAVING ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY IN HAND UNTIL THEY FIRE YOU UNLESS YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE MENTAL SADISTIC TORTURE THEY ARE PUTTING ON YOU TO MAKE YOU RESIGN, NON-PERFORMING INDIVIDUALS WILL BE 95% BUT ONLY 1% WILL BE TARGETED IN BIASED INDIAN CORPORATE INSECURED JOB RULE 2: FOLLOW RULE 1.
Toxic eork environments can often be the result of poorly applied authoritarian management practices which may be supported by corosive organisational culture.
Sweet trap is also called the "worker bee problem". You are very good at operational aka day-to-day functions. You keep the current business chugging along with your current skills but do not have the skills necessary to move to the next level or elsewhere. Your boss realizes your shortcomings and keeps you around for daily chores and you will stay there for your life or be the casualty of corporate shakeup.
The problem with personnel nowadays is not keeping them updated with current environment. They stop further learning once they come out of their institution, they never turn the pages of important concepts. If one can update himself regularly related to his employment, his top hierarchy will think thrice to lose him and he will feel secured in his employment and sleep peacefully every night leaving all worries.
I am victim of sweet trap. I am working in IT department of a company. Users in operation department are happy with my work, they give good remarks too in email but I got no promotion in last 13 years in this company..
1: Logistics and supply chain 2: Environment Scientists 3: Renewable Energy Engineer 4: AI/ Machine Learning 5: Cyber security Experts 6: Data Analyst 7: Software Developers 8: Digital marketing 9: Training & Professional Trainers 10: Healthcare Professionals 11: Content creators I thought of this point 12: Software Testing (Manual & Automation)
Fear is a state of mind , the faster u win it over the better for u .Hence I do not agree with your point 1 & 2. In such situations ( 2wice in my life) I took it head on , got into conflict with logic , escalated to senior management, and was transferred to a higher post out of conflict zone. That got me wide spread respect from all , and a time came when I was at par with my conflicting boss. Sweet spot , 98% people with standard performance are given the excuse of poor revenue. Only the blue eyed ones gets the better hike, my advice wait for your time to come. How many times r u going to exit from reality
It's a little more complicated than this in reality. The first point and the fourth point are very common and do happen. Rest have twists and different versions. One new point i would like to add is keep an eye for cost cutting and audit activities. If you are paid higher than your peers, you will be in your companies cross hairs.
It means that whenever something goes wrong, the upper management fires the perosn who earns more and is more responsible. As you climb up higher, the pressure increases and so does the risk of you getting out.
First of all thank you that you have made this video, I am a victim of all the things you have mentioned, and on top of that this video came at the right time.
A lot of what is stated here on this video is 1000% true. When you leave a company, laid off, fired or quit, and you apply for the next job, the most they can get out of you are the dates of employment which they can verify with your old firm. Neither the old nor the new employers can ask or tell about whether you had problems at work or were fired for X reason. They may ask you at the interview why you want to leave the old job. Say the work is slowing down, or you want to do different things, but never badmouth your old company or boss. Those words will kill your chances of being hired even if you are the perfect match and are the best in the world. Companies are fearful of you becoming a liability so they'd rather take a less qualified applicant than you. Say little, and don't drift from the subject no matter how "friendly" the interviewers are. They are Pros at squeezing information from applicants. You are not.
I stumbled upon this video after 10 days of resigning .. having regret since then..felt im doing wrong by going from here.. it is perfect company for me.. But i do see work is downgraded and no growth financially and work wise..although environment is friendly and comfortable..but need to come out of comfort zone for own growth .. Thank you universe for this answer to all my questions...im doing right..❤
Points 1 and 2 .. I was attacked by a monster with a sweet trap, kicked his job right on his ugly face , only regret is I should have left it long time back and infact never joined them ignoring my intuition
You should never be emotional about job... you should always work on a backup plan even when there are no red flags.. some people get some pride walking out of a company and call it self respect before being let go off and some may just hustle to squeeze anything out if the co pany till they are fired... wether you leave on your own will or let go off ...a year later no one will give you a medal of honor or remeber you with golden name.. just sallow your pride.. work till you get ur last pay check and laugh all the way to the bank while you make that deposit... Don't loose your health by taking your work enviournment seriously... just make sure you have some savings and something to land on when you do get out of work or laid off etc etc
Number one happened to me but I was one step ahead of them. I had a vendor where I worked who I know very well. The vendor informed me the manager where I worked told him that you will not have to worry or see me much longer. The vendor also told me if anyone told him that they would be looking for another job immediately. Then the department head did a performance evaluation behind my back, and made the mistake of posting it online in my human resource file which I also have access to. The review was supposed to have my signature, and there was none. At the same time, my hours were cut drastically so all my hours income was going to cover the taxes, and benefit cost. This left me with no income at all to pay for food or Bill's. Someone at human resources said they had it all planned to only give me enough hours to cover the cost of the benefits. I already knew that. When we were told our hours were cut, and I was only getting enough to cover my benefit cost, other coworkers who also had hours cut were at work working when they were not on the schedule. They were working their regular hours, and the schedule was made up so you would think they were being cut, but in reality they weren't being cut. I had two weeks of cut schedules in front of me. The next two weeks then came out, and I had the same schedule with 6 or 7 hours for the entire week. My hours went from 35 to 40 per week to 6 or 7. I went home, and applied for other jobs right away. Two days later, I was offered another job with a competitor with a 15 percent raise. I accepted the new job, and laugh every time the paycheck is deposited into my bank account. I gave my former employer two weeks notice, and they just removed me from the schedule entirely. Since then, I haven't been back.
One of the best things I ever did was walk out of a job, I was there for 17 years and started as an apprentice then worked my way up to supervisor over the years, training young staff. Sadly a new General Manager came in and turned a fine company environment into a toxic workplace over a period of about 3 years until it became unbearable. I wrote a resignation letter and walked out the same day. I thought I would be depressed and have doubts, but the opposite happened, never looked back.

Finding a job with good people is so important for mental health and growth. Staying in a toxic work environment is one of the worst things you can do to yourself professionally and personally.
Especially when you work around snakes who talk behind your back and their is favouritism 😢 and the manager talks about your business to the whole workshop
Like for real. Protect your mental health.
Leave immediately if you are more talented than your boss. This will happen due to transfer etc. knowingly no boss will hire a smarter guy than himself.
omg my boss would always try to compete with me, it got so weird at some point. He was intimidated by my presence. I did not know what to do....
What about 6 months unpaid training and job based on performance
It was so bad that even the boss started copying my behavior and my way of thinking... after few years of harassment from him, I finally left. He didn't allow me to do my job properly, everything was a threat to him.
That's an oft-repeated chestnut that doesn't hold true for startups, surely.
The manager in my workplace is so malignant that many people just walked out without giving any notice. I gave my resignation letter last week and can not wait for this to be over. Surely, your mental health is too important to tolerate harrasments and bullying, whether in an active or passive form.

I think #1 - Friction will include it. Been there!

Mine was definitely #1. My boss would visibly cringe whenever I spoke. She spent more time trying to undermine me than actually solve problems for the business.
Same is happening with me. I have just resigned two days ago
Same happened with me. My manager never cared to appreciate my worth and just went ahead with constantly finding loopholes in my work. I had to resign for peace of mind✌️
That is just horrible. I've been there. I also managed others and I can tell you there is nothing wrong with you.

1. Keep taking on more and more projects without increasing the number of employees.
2. Delays the promise 6 month evaluation/increase. Or if you only bring it up.
3. No pay for overtime. But decreases your salary for tardiness.
4. Compulsory be available anytime. Else, you should inform hin of your personal schedules during rest days just so he knows that you are "busy"

This has inspired me to put in my 30 day notice. It’s actually been a great job but it’s like a train that won’t stop.
Focus on the next thing more that on your current situation.

with you tube and social media lot of awareness created about job and career management. The older generation today must be regretting how they worked and carried on in-spite of issues politics, lack of remuneration/recognition and harassment due to family pressure.
You are The Perfect HR.👍
All are clearly mentioned points. Even I experiencing some ....
Thanks and ❣️❤️❣️.
The problem is the need to find another job before exiting.
Toxic work and HR told me leave the company 48days if i not perform well😂.after 5days i intiated resigned status from separation tool....
Then do resignation with mentioned
I was once in a job where there little to no work and the manager there blackmailed me and then threatened to fire me after I took some food out of the kitchen after a holiday's toast
I realized I can no longer work there because he would abuse his power against me and send me threats so I left and now I am still not in the place I want to be but I have a direction I want to go
Refrain from using insulting words like "Kicked out" for tech professionals.
@@shivanshupandey7251 :) DECENCY WE ARE JUST RESOURCE just a number in paper ignore such things
I left a toxic job today, and found another job. Thanks for this video
Tell me about your new job, this job is better then previous job or same as previous
@ much better, and I am happy to make the decision to move, even though its very hard to learn new skills, but having to manage toxic workplace is harder
RULE 1: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR JOB WITHOUT HAVING ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY IN HAND UNTIL THEY FIRE YOU UNLESS YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE MENTAL SADISTIC TORTURE THEY ARE PUTTING ON YOU TO MAKE YOU RESIGN, NON-PERFORMING INDIVIDUALS WILL BE 95% BUT ONLY 1% WILL BE TARGETED IN BIASED INDIAN CORPORATE INSECURED JOB
RULE 2: FOLLOW RULE 1.
If it feels toxic then leave immediately..else it would incur cost to your health...health first...
Most of the places you will get someone who will start troubling. Survival is difficult.
Got it° now I have to resign from Accenture . These things actually happening with me 😅 They took me forgranted 😬 I'll shock them 😬
Toxic eork environments can often be the result of poorly applied authoritarian management practices which may be supported by corosive organisational culture.
Super good points ! All points are perfectly valid !
I am victim of sweet trap. I am working in IT department of a company. Users in operation department are happy with my work, they give good remarks too in email but I got no promotion in last 13 years in this company..
Really sorry for that, but if possible, move on, else you will waste your talent at a wrong place.
IBM?
You are not good in your work I think
This is heart breaking bro you better search for new job

All red flags and still didnt leave. Kicked me out, expected it but that was always the plan for longer term success
Depends on people around you.i got blacklisted from organisation for same.when i escalated toxic behaviour to senior management
I liked this
Absolutely true 💯 percent ! Very meaningful video
It's a little more complicated than this in reality. The first point and the fourth point are very common and do happen. Rest have twists and different versions. One new point i would like to add is keep an eye for cost cutting and audit activities. If you are paid higher than your peers, you will be in your companies cross hairs.
Kindly explain last two lines please.
It means that whenever something goes wrong, the upper management fires the perosn who earns more and is more responsible. As you climb up higher, the pressure increases and so does the risk of you getting out.
I was in situation 1 where for some reason, my manager hated me. We had friction from day one. I knew I had to leave and left within 1 year.
same
Whenever I meet him in his desk, he pretended to be busy checking email, gets to do a urgent phone call.
First of all thank you that you have made this video, I am a victim of all the things you have mentioned, and on top of that this video came at the right time.
In my experience there is no such thing as a good employer, ever, period.
Agree! People quit bad bosses not jobs!
Yup, not companies but the shitty so called managers you work with. 😂
Thank you universe for this answer to all my questions...im doing right..❤
So you resigned without getting any offer ?
All the jobs suck. And majority of HR and Project Managers make it hell. 🙏🇮🇳
Points 1 and 2 .. I was attacked by a monster with a sweet trap, kicked his job right on his ugly face , only regret is I should have left it long time back and infact never joined them ignoring my intuition
I wonder what did he do that you're calling him a monster
@@justadreamerforgood69 he might have sniffed her hair like joe bidem lol or sexual misconduct may be
You should never be emotional about job... you should always work on a backup plan even when there are no red flags.. some people get some pride walking out of a company and call it self respect before being let go off and some may just hustle to squeeze anything out if the co pany till they are fired... wether you leave on your own will or let go off ...a year later no one will give you a medal of honor or remeber you with golden name.. just sallow your pride.. work till you get ur last pay check and laugh all the way to the bank while you make that deposit...
HR telling leave job on time peacefully, most of the cases HR is responsible for a toxic environment
There was a tine when our dad mom chacha ect... Use to work in a company for 20 30 years. Now its difficult to stay for 2 years
One of the best things I ever did was walk out of a job, I was there for 17 years and started as an apprentice then worked my way up to supervisor over the years, training young staff. Sadly a new General Manager came in and turned a fine company environment into a toxic workplace over a period of about 3 years until it became unbearable. I wrote a resignation letter and walked out the same day. I thought I would be depressed and have doubts, but the opposite happened, never looked back.
I have experienced this very recently..d natural friction n very lil wrk..I had realizd dis couple of months bfore bt I js cud nt switch..as I dint land a befitting opportunity n ya den I ws kickd out... 3 mnths post tat wr terribl..however gt a job evntually n am finally a bit at peace..bt PTSD is still on 😢
Sweet trap is very rampant in sales. They give you 'best performer' certificates but when it comes to monetary benefits they just go in hiding.😂
"Sweet Trap" point really hit the Bulls Eye, So true!!
