Have a plan in place first before you quit because honey let me tell you that having a job is better than not having one or a plan in place. People will tell you all type of negatives about your job and how you need to quit but when you need help nobody is going to give you not one red cent, they gonna shy away from you. Trust me!

I quit my job two weeks ago, on the same day, and without a backup plan.
I was there for five months. I didn’t have a great vibe about that place, but I kept lying to myself that it wasn’t that bad and so on. But it made me so tired, stressed, and depressed.
The last straw was when they declined my PTO, even though I gave them two months of a heads-up, I have days accrued, and I only asked for three days off.
After declining my PTO, my boss had a Zoom call with me telling me I need to
take on even more work, she insulted me, etc.
I closed out of the Zoom call and instantly resigned.
Despite having no income at this time, I can’t even describe how much better I feel two weeks later.

It’s not even the work it’s the people. People contributing less to the business yet feeling entitled to more money at the same time 🫠 everything is a popularity contest, people starting rumors, talking behind each others backs constantly, comparing money and can’t mind their own business. I can’t wait to quit just building up the courage to do it. The environment is destroying my mental health.

omg yes. gastrointestinal issues, anxiety, hair loss, bad eating, troubles with fallings asleep, not enjoying life, conversations and no quality time spent with my loved ones just because I was on the wrong path for like 5 years. now everything's got better, especially my communication with others, my sleep and my stomach aches disappeared. Now I know that I only have those symptoms when I'm not in a good place for me or I'm doing something for the first time and it stresses me out and I understand why I was crying all the time and feeling so down... I just used to think that life was like that for everybody and I was weak, but it turned out I was not doing what I was meant to do and yeah. It's better to know when to quit and build resilience instead of sticking to unhealthy ways just because it's something that you already know.

For me, nausea, headaches, chronic throat infections, chronic eye styes, and I get an itchy forehead. I noticed majority of the symptoms happened at work and during stressful times. During the weekends or after work, I'm completely fine. What I hate most though is that my coworkers didn't believe me when I tell them I feel unwell. It got so bad, that I had to sarcastically say I didn't know that you knew my body better than me. But since I decided I'm going to leave my job, I have not had any of those issues. It's the job, it's not me.

I thought it was just the winter or my body adjusting but then i realized i truly resent my work and m'y bosses overworking me with such little pay. Anxiety, lack of sleep, constant exhaustion, brain fog, hormone imbalance, suddenly tearful, negative/intrusive thoughts, sudden sickness, skin rashes, and feeling of impending doom.
I tried to exercise more, stop eating junk foods/take out and saw a therapist. Came to the conclusion the job I was in was a toxic work environment forcing me to become something I refuse to become to "fit in" and not put people's noses out.

It’s been a month since I quit my job due to toxicity and severe burnout. I was so afraid to do so, but my family and friends have been such a huge support system. As someone who has been in the hospital and on work leave due to stress before, no amount of money is worth your physical health. Stress is literally a silent killer and it manifests in the body in so many odd ways that can build up over time. Can’t say I have completely happy silver lining thoughts everyday, but my mental health is a billion times better since I quit. Everything happens for a reason and the job that’s meant to find you will reveal itself when you take that leap.

Currently, I’m waking up in the middle of the night shaking with anger and anxiety. I’m pissed that I’m still in this job, but I’m 4 months out from the day I can put in my 2 weeks. It’s time for me to go and I know it in my bones at this point: I’m not enjoying the work that I’m doing, I’m not enjoying my co-workers, I’m not enjoying working with our clients. I’ve taken the time to break down all the positives and negatives in my life and the one thing that brings it all down is my job. Everything else is great.

I should be happy after years of long commutes, I work 100% remote, but I’m mentally and physically drained!! I deal with very toxic management who only care about numbers and making them look good, I’m stuck in my current department, and get yelled at several times a day by disgruntled customers on the phone. Very good points! It's sad that so many of us go through this. But you know, I came to simple realization - at work, at home, in our social circles we are treated the way we ourselves allow to be treated. And there are always ways to change something instead of sticking around in a negative work environment where you are constantly under stress. If you become disabled from continuous tension, your employer will replace you with someone else in no time. Take care of yourself!

I’m planning to quit my 100k/year job. This video inspired me to create a video about the great resignation. It took me about 6 months to create this on top of my full-time job, setting aside at least 4x of 1 hr workout per week, cooking healthy foods that take hours to prepare, rejecting so many night outs just to spend more time pursuing my passion while having so many people discourage me from creating meaningful videos online like this channel.
As you can tell, personal development isn’t a joke because there are so many sacrifices to be made, which are often uncomfortable but knowing that there are also so many like-minded individuals who have passion for becoming a better version of themselves each day and who are willing to show support makes me more motivated to keep pursuing my passion for creativity and intense desire to provide as much value as I could.
When I was a kid, all I wanted was to have a career that pays well so I can buy whatever I want but now that I’m grown up and went through tons of setbacks from losing tons of people in my life, getting lost in the world with full of life traps, being ridiculed for pursuing my dreams, having so many people tell me that I’m merely wasting my time creating a meaningful content online, and so on, I can say that long-lasting happiness can’t be bought or earned because it comes from within us.

    • @966minda

    • @nathananderson8720
      @nathananderson8720 9 месяцев назад +1

@@966minda Thank you! One of the reasons for making this channel is to inspire people as I am so tired of seeing so many people stuck in a career or endeavor just to survive or meet others’ expectations of them because I’ve been there. That’s security but doesn’t necessarily mean true happiness and even when materialistic pursuits can make them comfortable, that doesn’t necessarily mean not being trapped in a hedonic treadmill to keep that going. I can go on and on about why it’s important to do our best to live each day to the fullest whatever that means for us because it’s so easy to get lost in this world with full of traps but it’s fully up to us how to navigate through it while we still have the time to fully live if we choose to. Again, thank you for such deep words of appreciation.

I was so fatigued and stressed at work one day i went to break and came back to my desk, felt myself dizzy and called for a coworker who used to be an RN and helped me tremendously but within minutes I had passed out and the ambulance carted me off where the ER said it was just stress…I got a big bill from the ER a month later. The company wouldn’t even cover it even though it happened at work…🥴I resigned from that job a week later and didn’t look back. Great video!

Wow, this is relatable on so many levels. I'm currently doing a research degree on a topic that I absolutely hate. 2 years ago when I accepted the funding, I kept saying to myself it would get better if I just focused on the outcome (the degree), instead of the journey. But that's so much easier said than done. The never-ending lockdowns coupled with my disgust for the topic led to multiple physical symptoms creeping in over the months. This year's been the worst, from major depressive episodes, to blood pressure issues, teeth grinding, chronic respiratory infections, and hormone-related disruptions. And God is my witness, I was so depressed and fixated on just pushing through, that I never once stopped to ask myself, hey girl why are you having all these health issues, when before I'd barely get a cold once every few years. And the decision to quit has been tearing me apart for months now (sunk-cost fallacy, I suppose). Finally, recently I decided to call it quits and it's been the best feeling. We should never ever ignore physical symptoms or look for justifications when something isn't working. 1 major takeaway for me has been that if something's right for you, it should come easy and feel good. If you have to sweat it, bleed it, and break your bones to make it work, then it's simply not your thing. Simple as.

I wondered how I was supposed to bring the warehouse to my desk to do physical inventory audits!!! Or get signatures on invoices for the different departments managers staying in my seat! Or use the restroom or basically anything else I had to do! And I never understood why he did all this when there wasn’t a single time I didn’t complete my work! I gave more to this place than I had ever done before! I kissed ass and smiled to become a “yes man”! Something I never thought I would ever do in my life! Since I never had before!! He literally made me loose my mind and I had to have emergency session with my therapist and my doctor for anxiety meds! It was terrible! But I loved the job it was him I couldn’t stand! And it paid very well so I quit/fired me whatever! And now I’m fighting unemployment and of course in the end these companies get away with this shit!

Even on weekends, I was becoming a homebody. I'm an adventurous spirit and I didnt want to go anywhere! This wasn't me at all. I didn't recognize myself. Ohhh, the sense of relief once I quit. At least with myself it was like that. Im literally so depressed with my job despite being there for almost 4 yrs. I never had a period come this late before so i immediately knew it was because of work stress. I would also get headaches and backaches out of nowhere (tension i guess) and my lower abdomen constantly ached here and there. I tried to put up with it thinking it will all pass, but i started "quiet quitting" when after i had just gotten lasik eye surgery and my boss knew about it yet decided to send me a long paragraph of a message on how i needed to fix up my act and be a better "example/leader" to the team. I seriously lost my sh-- there. I couldnt believe the audacity my boss had let alone how i could even read his long message while being blurred out from the surgery. Thats when i knew it was time to really consider my leave. Ive yet to find another job yet that feels right for now so im just quietly saving up and pending to leave just to leave, with or without another job lined up.

Leave your job. Quit. It’s not worth the stress. It might be scary at first but you have to remember that things always work out. Think back at those times you never thought you’d make it through a bad situation but you did in the end. The toxic bullies, the unappreciative managers, the backstabbing selfish coworkers-they’ll all get what’s coming to them. You’re meant to be in much better environments. Move on to bigger and better things. Start by taking care of yourself first and then upwards from there.

If you have an issue it’s your issue and if the company has issues, that also becomes your issue. see how that works? Best of luck to you going forward.

Well, I'm sort of going through it right now. I went back to my old career that I even qualified for and now I'm sort of regretting it. My main issue is my social anxiety around my colleagues. I feel like I can't talk to any of them and I feel like they're being cold towards me. I feel like it's mostly my fault as they probably think that I don't care about the job or them. I'm trying to get CBT classes, and I don't want to have to keep switching jobs to deal with my issue. I had one job totally different to the one I have now and I enjoyed that more and I felt like a different person. I left because I moved away and now I can't get back into it as nowhere will accept me 😢
I can't sleep well at all, I'm constantly tired feeling really low about myself that I'm not good enough, I don't deserve to be in the job and just keep spacing out all the time. I feel awful and I don't know what to do 😢

I couldn’t wait for my contract to end on Dec 15 due to a toxic environment!!! So happy now!!!! So if you’re not happy leave the job but make sure your financially well off or find another one before you leave!

I have worked a remote customer service job for 4 years. It's very stressful, and If I could quit right now, I would. I struggle with my weight, with depression, my legs and ankles swell, I have large, angry red spots on the front of my shins, and I get itchy welts on my face and chin line. The coup de grace was when I found out that my boss was canned, and several other managers. I think we are being replaced by AI, since the company has been bragging about it.

My job is not so bad and my manager is ok, the problem is the coworkers, they're too young and they still behave as if they were in middle school and the whole environment, it's a tiring place to be. They also give people opportunity to grow (just not me because I was bullied by some coworkers because my performance was low, I wasn't at the same pace as the rest of the group. I got tired of their jokes and I don't get along with a lot of people now because they tell other coworkers I'm dumb and I don't feel like being nice to these people, and they don't like my behaviour, but I don't care, I don't accept being disrespected), anyway, I'm not interested in continuing working there anyway, I don't like the way they deal with things... It's just a means to another end.
I do feel very anxious sometimes because of the jokes and gossip, among other things...

The stress is causing me to be catatonic after work, where I'm just shaking and staring into space or at my phone. I'm starting to dry heave and gag. I am full of dread at the thought of being around my coworkers. I am ansty and unable to enjoy my free time because I can't stop thinking about work.

My job is very physical. My joint and muscles ache. I get pain in kidneys. It's always when I do all that heavy lifting.
