Today we did a review on Fort Amarillo RV Park & Resort. What an adorable park with awesome amenities. Sit by the little duck pond and relax or have your morning coffee or adult beverages with friends on the patio. Don't forget your wallet, the store located on the property is adorable, almost if Cracker Barrel and Buc-ee's had a baby. The sites were plenty big with 2 parking spots and a concrete patio. The dog park was great and even offered amenities for your fur babies, like water, waste bags, and shaded seating. Keep the kids busy with the large playground, full size basketball court and tennis court. The park also offers coin laundry and a bathhouse. We will definitely stay at this park again when passing through Amarillo.

It really was a cute little park.
Looks like a very nice park lots of room might have to look this one up one day👍🏼.
Highly recommend. We were sad we weren’t staying longer. They have a rec room and big grills it looks like they do park get togethers.

Glad you enjoyed. My first stop is google reviews, then YT to see if there is a video of the park. I like to check it out beforehand. We have gone to too many parks that look "NICE" on the website and you pull in and question if you are at the right address lol.
The store reminds me of the old fashioned. Stores a little of everything. They always smelled so good. Still miss the big pickel barrels. Lol

This is a great park. We stayed just one night as we were heading out West to the National Parks in AZ and UT. Wish we had more time at Ft Amarillo RV park. It ranked as one of our favorites of the entire trip!!
It was such a cool park, we were similar to you only got to stay there for one night. The store was great!

“If Cracker Barrel & Buc-e’es had a baby!” 😆🤣🤣 Of course Buc-ee’s is kind of a Texas (& spreading south) kind of thing so not everyone may know what that is.) Glad you enjoyed your stay in Amarillo! A little partial to it since that is where we are located! (Planning on going full time in 2 years - husband can’t wait til he can kick that last kiddo out the door! Haha! Actually to college - but good enough!) When in Amarillo be sure to check out the RV museum at Jack Sizemore Travelland, Route 66 shops & eats - also a lot of new stuff downtown & if you are here in the summer be sure to attend the play “Texas” at the outdoor theatre at the state park (but best to try to get tickets in advance). Yes - everyone stops at the Cadillac Ranch but just a tip - if you wear glasses - either don’t or wear safety glasses over or else you risk getting spray paint on your good expensive eyewear (especially on a windy day!)
Buc-ees’s should be everywhere lol. Amarillo is a great city seems like it’s growing to everytime we pass through it gets bigger. That 2 years is going to feel like eternity, but it’s worth the wait! We have not done the rv museum yet, it’s on our list, a number of people have recommended it. Have a great week!
