I used to live in Colorado, in Aurora. On my days off, I'd drive in and the around the Rockies, and I'll never forget the majesty of this mountain chain. Absolutely breathtaking.
Beautiful and colorful Colorado. I am from Indonesia. I visited Colorado and stay in Fort Collins for 2,5 months to attend the short course at Colorado State University in summer 1996. Every weekend we went to scenery places like Denver, Boulder, Greely, Vail, Aspen, Estes Park, Garden of God, Royal Gorge Bridge, and of course the foothill of unforgettable Rocky Mountains.
You could have left Denver off the list with all the natural beauty there is in Colorado. I lived in Gunnison, Colorado for 9 years and before living there I spent my summers growing up at our small family cabin near the Continental Divide on the Western Slope of Colorado. I highly recommend Crested Butte, near Gunnison. It is so beautiful up there. Also outside Colorado Springs is the Garden of the Gods. It is gorgeous.
I had great time visiting Colorado couple of times. I lived in Denver. I also visited Rocky mountains, Red rock amphitheater, Blackhawk, Boulder, Zoo, museum, Light rail etc. That was the place I experienced snow first time. Jaw dropping change in the landscape overnight after the snowfall. Having a coat of moisturizer and then layers and layers of dress on top of it was unique experience for a tropical guy. Sweet memories!

The only place in Oklahoma that was even close was Black Mesa, in the panhandle close to colorado and new mexico, and that was beautiful. I plan on going to colorado in september and i cant decide where to go!!
