As a Canadian having lived in Canada for most of my life I will never forget the beauty of Colorado and its small towns. I recall when returning home after our (my wife's and I) first visit there I said to my wife that when I die I want my ashes scattered in Colorado because it is as close as one can get to what I consider anyways, to be heaven.
Did u live in BC? Would you say colorado is prettier than bc...or both are like heaven in your experience? I'm considering moving to Colorado and I've never been but prob taking the leap. Would love your feedback guys
“If you don’t do it this year, you will be one year older when you do.” The famous last line in every Warren Miller film... so we moved from Seattle to CO and decided to visit every ski town to decide where to live. We nixed Aspen (looked like Orange County, CA from town...just hills), the I-70 ski resort towns (too busy, freeway, too transient, etc.), Telluride... we went house hunting there 3 times but the dark box canyon winters were too much, not to mention the real-deal isolation. We were going to give up and check out Utah when we remembered this one little town we hadn't been to (an odd sounding name maybe?), Crested Butte. When we rounded the bend at CB south, saw the Paradise Divide and the wide valley, we knew.... within 30 minutes, we decided and long story short, lived there for almost 10 years. People say it's too isolated, but with the internet, and a relatively short 4 hour drive to Denver, it checks all the boxes. We moved away to the Roaring Fork Valley (ugh) for my wife's health issues, but to me, CB is the most scenic, coolest (if not just a little too cute) mountain town in Colorado. And yes, the back country skiing is the best.
You really got in at the right time. Crested Butte is incredible. It's funny how life can be like that. You can take weeks scoping out places to move and never really get that feeling.. but within 1 min of being in the right place, you just know.
lived in Colorado for 2 years and I cannot speak enough to the magick of the mountains and the serene landscape that always is an escape to our modern day living.
As CO native myself I’d say this is a pretty good list but one town that is noticeably absent is Durango. I may be biased because my dad is from there and I grew up spending a lot of time there but I always have that at the top of my list of my favorite towns in CO.
I lived in Aztec for a few years & spent a whole lotta time in Dogtown. You are correct: belongs on the list & belongs pretty high. Good town. Even the tourist traps are high quality. I like Pagosa better though. Pagosa is this weird place where little mining occurred. Thus little development. It's just a town with a small resort in the middle, but other than that and the absolutely _SPECFUCKINGTACULAR_ scenery it could be a town in Pennsylvania. Prices reflect that (except on taxes for out of staters!) Also Wolf Creek smokes the everliving shit out of Purg. Wonderful mix of family mountain & walk the ridge for budget "cat skiing." Especially back in the day. Still good now though.
My grandfather used to hunt there during the 60’s on a friend’s ranch. I actually visited Durango while visiting a friend who went to Fort Lewis College around 1988. What a great little town!
So many times I’ve traveled, left the country and then ended up somewhere quite pretty to realize where I live is actually more beautiful. It never gets old living here. I still love travel to see different cultures, but the mountains, high mountain lakes and creeks are heaven here and when the leaves turn it’s breathtaking.
It is indeed a blessing to be here in CO. You are right about all that. I always have one of those moments when friends/family come and visit and we go do something that is in "my backyard" and I am blown away by the beauty.
Warning: I subscribed to this channel about 6 months ago when I was interested in the state. I came out to visit Colorado in person two months ago. As of 8 days ago, we became a locals of The Springs. This channel is a slippery slope! Your channel really helped capture the beauty of the state and that inspired us to take the plunge. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the information.
Haha so glad we were able to help in your journey to enjoying Colorado! Welcome to The Springs, we hope you have an awesome time here. 😎 And thanks for subscribing!
@@HashtagColoradoLife Colorado Springs has some beautiful scenery obviously, but calling it a "town" is kind of weird because it's a pretty big city. They have Crime just like Denver.
It would be fun to see you and friends/family in the videos like "Through my Lens". That makes it more personal. Your narrative and photography are great. But seeing a person(s) walking/talking along in the places makes you feel like you are there with them. In the stores, restaurants activities, parks...
I would have included Grand Lake. It is home to Colorado's largest natural body of water and is the Western gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It is small but cozy and is surrounded by many beautiful places where activities abound.
Yes, Grand Lake is a very beautiful place to visit in Colorado! We have been there when visiting RMNP and it's a surreal place. Thanks for the recommendation!
@@shellric4538Pricey or not! At least you don’t live anywhere in Oregon! I do! UNFORTUNATELY! And they keep increasing taxes & they love themselves & not others. And they get way too much rain.
In 1987, The Grateful Dead played in Telluride. I will never forget coming into town the day before and seeing that huge banner hanging across the street with those beautiful mountains in the background. Welcome Grateful Dead. Band members were hanging out in town with fans. Saw Jerry and Brent at a bar. For those who didn’t have tickets, music was played throughout town on big speakers. We also saw people coming down from mountains on horses to watch show. It was really incredible.
Wow, that sounds like an amazing time! What an awesome memory. Telluride still has fantastic music festivals, like the blue grass event. It's a great town!
This video perfectly captures the beauty of Colorado's towns. I appreciate how the narrator highlights the unique features and attractions of each place. Glenwood Springs seems like a charming town with its natural hot springs and rich history. Boulder's combination of stunning mountain views, vibrant arts scene, and delicious food make it a must-visit destination. I'm intrigued by the Switzerland of America, Ouray, with its breathtaking mountain scenery and outdoor activities. And Breckenridge's blend of history, art, and skiing makes it a picturesque town worth exploring. Colorado Springs with its iconic landmarks like Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods is truly a gem. And Vail, known for its world-class skiing and stunning landscapes, offers more than just winter activities. I'm inspired to plan a trip to these beautiful towns and experience their unique charms firsthand.
You're not kidding when you say Colorado has an abundance of beautiful towns. I've had the pleasure to vacation in Durango, visited Ouray and Silverton, and lived in Denver for 16 months. I also frequented Black Hawk while in Denver, the trip never got old. The high mountains that surround you are unreal as is the 550 Highway that require nerves of steel..
Yes, there are so many great places it's hard to include them all. We might have to do a second video, part two, sometime! Thanks so much for watching. You're not wrong about driving in the mountains, it can be scary!
Last winter I drove 11 hours and 700+ miles all the way from Oklahoma City to Durango, Colorado and my gosh I have never seen such a beautiful place. Very calm nice friendly people. It was my first time ever visiting that part of the U.S. and it was a totally different world hidden in the mountains. Durango as well as the surrounding towns in New Mexico truly left a soft spot in my heart. I need to go back.
Yay! So glad you had an amazing experience here. Durango and that part of the state is amazing and beautiful. Hope you'll be back soon! Also, we have made a similar drive like that before and Oklahoma has a rugged beauty as well. 👍
@@HashtagColoradoLife I didn’t believe the whole thing where they say your ears close up lol I was up there by the Purgatory Ski Resort and I kept feeling my ears to see if I left my AirPods in because I couldn’t hear a thing😂😂 It felt so weird but awesome at the same time lol
@@HashtagColoradoLife I suspect you've never been to Durango frankly. Nor Pagosa Springs. Both are nicer than about half the towns on your list (I've been to all the towns on your list except Crested Butte.) The Pagosa valley is probably the most underrated place in Colorado. It's far more beatiful than far more famous places. No mining there, so it never got developed like the rest. Plus if you're gonna do Ouray, why wouldn't you do Ned? Nederland's a lot nicer than Boulder. Was 20 years ago anyway. Is Ouray huge now? Wouldn't surprise me with all the douchebag overflow from Telluride (which is probably the prettiest town in CO it should be noted.) Final note: *your list is HEAVILY weighted towards places douchebags live.* Anyone reading: you're gonna have a lot better time hanging with the locals in Mancos or Gunnison or South Fork than Aspen. Understatement of the year.
@@Saturdayz_In_The_Fall It's good you call it Purgatory instead of "DMR." Of course your name is Dante after all. We called it "Purg" when I lived in Aztec. All in all we rode wolf creek more though. Purg is fun on a groomer day, but the Creek gets MAD snow & holds it for days. The mountains up above Purg though? SPECTACULAR. The steam train from Durango is one of the few tourist traps frequented often by locals in the US. Well worth the money & time.
@@theminister1154 This isn't a video of the most beautiful towns based on our opinions but some of the most highly rated ones from surveys the past couple years. And yes, we've been to Pagosa Springs and many other Colorado towns. Couldn't name them all or it would be a two-hour video lol
I am also a Colorado native, from the Eastern Plains. Always fun seeing the mountains and towns and scenery that is there. The eastern plains have has its own unique beauty. Fun to see the other half of the state.
Ahhhh so you are the one living out east!!! I agree tho. The plains will certainly draw some people in who can appreciate it. And there are some gems in Eastern CO. But if you ask someone if you want to see "picturesque mountains" or "picturesque prairie", 9/10 will be the mountains.
I live in Canmore, Alberta Canada! Close to Banff, Jasper and Kananaskis! Alberta is the Colorado of Canada! We also have a MASSIVE amount of beautiful Rocky Mountains. So here are some things I noticed in this video! There are more options of mountain towns to choose from in colorado than canmore. How ever for day to day living colorado seems more suitable because its less touristy, How ever if you want a wild Vacation in the Rockys I highly suggest coming to Banff in Canada. But as I myself have a day to day life in the rockys Im jealous of all the housing options in colorado!
Absolutely loved this video! I recently posted something at [5:10] about local experiences too. It’s great to see how these spots are covered by different creators! 🌟
Agree that Utah and CO are both so beautiful. I live in CO but have taken trips through Utah. The landscape there is so unique, it’s like being on another planet. My favorite place in Utah is Bryce Canyon. Just stunning.
Hello, just wanted to say that this video was amazing and beautiful. I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life and still love to see such beautiful views around the state. I appreciate you folks showing everyone the beauty of our state! -Showing Love from Leadville!
i love the gondola in breck, we took it up to one of the peaks during the wintertime and the view was breathtaking, and i think it was the one pictured at 6:05
I too am a native of Colorado. I was born in Rifle and grew up on Piceance creek. I've been to all places listed except Ouray and Crested Butte, but I'm planning on a motorcycle trip later this year to visit many towns throughout Colorado.
Oh how fun! A motorcycle trip through the mountains sounds like a dream. What a great way to see all that Colorado has to offer. Hope you have an amazing trip!
I agree on most of these towns. I used to travel from SE Tn. to do the Bicycle Ride of Colorado. I had almost covered from New Mexico to Wyoming on a bicycle. The only town I didn't like was Estes Park, too many foreigners. The next day on June 20th there was a blizzard on Trail Ridge Rd. I've trained in 95 degree heat, what kind of blizzard is this? Oh it be a blizzard alright but how many people from Tn. have even seen a blizzard. We saw it and climbed a mountain in it. lol My favorite town was Pagosa Springs but there were a lot of good ones. Creede was the coldest night I ever stayed in a tent, the water bottles froze on the bikes. This was always the third week of June. It's cold but a great place to ride a bicycle. I know you're wondering if we climb Mt. Evans since it's the highest paved road in North America, yes we did. Going up was much better than descending on that road.
Visited Colorado twice for road trips. Loved every minute of it. So beautiful. My favorites were Ouray and the Gunnison area, and the vistas of the San Juan Mountains.
Great video that doesn't point out the obvious (expensive housing, pricy food, bad roads, etc.) that exist in every U.S. city. Thank you for posting about the wonders of each town and city
High praise! thank you! There are already a bunch of videos out there about the biggest (or most talked about) problems so we wanted to think a bit outside the box. THANKS AGAIN!
Although I'm from Mississippi, I have been to everyone of those towns, and cities. I've camped the entire length of the state along the continental divide on an extended vacation. All is beautiful, but the most breathtaking area I've seen is in and around Crested Butte. A 50 mile radius around it is just indescirbable. Great video sir.
@@HashtagColoradoLife I had a job that allowed me 4 twelve day vacations per year that I worked for 24 years. I traveled the entire Rocky mountain region from Alberta to the southern end over those years, along with all areas to the pacific coast. Southwest Colorado is by far the most spectacular place I've ever seen. Yes glacier national park in Montana is also great, but Southwest Colorado is my favorite. The only thing I dislike about Colorado is the local people thinking that Colorado OWNS it, and discourages nonresident people to go there. Well, 90% of the most beautiful part of the land in Colorado boundaries, DOES NOT BELONG TO COLORADO. It belongs to the USA. National forest, Bureau of Land Management, and the Corp of Engineers. People in Colorado Think they OWN it. They are completely IGNORANT to the facts. Please inform them to the Facts. I'm sick of ignorant people there telling me I'm not welcome. My grandparents paid taxes on that land. It doesn't belong to people in Colorado. They look like idiots suggesting that it does. All of the National properties there belongs to the United States of America. Not Colorado. 👌
@@jackychandler8594 Wow, you've had some amazing travels, so awesome! And you make a great point, this is something we agree with as well. Colorado is for everyone to enjoy and locals sometimes become very possessive and forget that. Thanks for watching our video!
@@HashtagColoradoLife cool Colorado kid. Another FACT Most people are Completely Ignorant of is the EQUAL FOOTINGS RIGHT in this country. 😁. If U can take a vessel,, canoe, or ANY other floating vessel in ANY stream in this country CANNOT BE restricted from going thru SO CALLED PRIVATE PROPERTY. That federal law came from England when our ancestors landed here. It's STILL A LAW. They don't OWN the H2O that flows right past their Billionaire ass sitting on their 50 $ decks watching it flow by.
Glenwood Canyon is a beautiful spot to drive through. I drove from Alma, Michigan to Las Vegas, Nevada last year. Most beautiful drive I’ve ever been on especially from 1-70 to Las Vegas.
Kinda the way the state is now. It's almost like CO has so much natural beauty and wonder that 49 other states wanna come check it out year round! Goods and bad of tourism.
I've lived all my long life in Colorado and visited the most visually appealing spot I have ever seen this fall while photographing the fall colors. Rock Creak Campground was my destination and there is one point at which I could take a photo or a great vista. It was the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. On the west side of the San Luis Valley in the San Juan mountains if you would ever care to look for it.
The polygraph test didn't get done, matter of fact unclear on the news when it was on. Why didn't the polygraph test didn't get done for the Ramsey Case? Otherwise, this case would have been solved a long time ago.
Colorado is renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, from majestic mountains to tranquil lakes and vibrant forests. Amidst this scenic backdrop, several towns stand out as epitomes of charm, beauty, and cultural richness.
Colorado is an outdoor paradise all year round. No matter the season, it is one of the best places to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the great outdoors.
Too true. One could spend their entire life in a relatively small area of the Rocky Mountains and still not discovery everything! Much of CO truly is a big and wild place
I took a train from Sacramento through Colorado to Chicago. We stopped at a couple mountain towns. Granby and Fraser were completely different worlds to me. It was so peaceful. Hardly a car on the road. Snow packed on the ground. I wanted to wake up in one of those homes i saw in the distance just for one day just to see how it felt to be a part of that.
My sister lives in Granby. It's beautiful and so close to Rocky Mountain National Park. I love going up and visiting her. It's also the town known for the Killdozer incident. That shit was crazy.
Creede, Colorado is a small town that I make sure I visit every year my family vacations in Colorado. The mountains surrounding the town that has great history and friendly locals is just amazing! There is nice hiking and atv trails, shopping, local events, mine tours, and great meals to enjoy too!
Creede is super cool. It is indeed all those things. The town also (oddly) has a top tier theater group that people come from all over the country to see plays. Kinda adds to the coolness of the overall area.
Before retiring to Georgia, we had a second home outside of Westcliffe in the Wet Mountain Valley. Loved the peace, quiet and views! Ouray of course is awesome, and also enjoyed business trips to Grand Junction. We enjoyed our 20 years in Colorado so very much.
I'm a bit partial because I grew up in Durango but it does have one of the best scenic railroads in the world! Not to mention a Unesco world heritage site known as Mesa Verde, beautiful mountains with skiing and great water rafting spring and summer. Durango also boasts it has more restaurants per capita than San Fransisco. Just saying......
I drove out to Telluride from L.A. the last 2 years. Just one of those places where the pictures don't do it justice. Telluride Town Park is one of my favorite parks in the U.S. Tons of great hiking trails all around the area and just amazing scenery every where you go. Also really fun place for off roaders.
I lived in Boulder, back in the mid to late '70.. I first pulled into the over look and fell in love..! Back then, things were way cool, lol...! If you do check it out, remember to enjoy yourself..
Thrilled to see CB on there! Having gone from East Coast to Western State College (yes when it was WSC) in 1992-1994, Gunni & CB changed my life, I've been back a dozen times and Emerald Lake continues to be my favorite place in the world and I've put 5 of my pups ashes up there. I've traveled all over CO and you simply cant name all the beauty in just 10, but this does those 10 justice!
Nicely done. I've lived in Vail, Steamboat, Grand Junction and have had the pleasure of skiing and hiking all over Colorado for many years. It's difficult to sum up the beauty and majesty of the Rockies and the good feeling of living in them at a wonderful little town, but you did a nice job. Your video brought back alot of awesome feelings and great memories. I've got a little acreage now in southern Colorado, just waiting for the day when I can spend the summer there and build a nice cabin. You would like to visit Redcliff and that area I would imagine, neat little town!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, it is hard to portray how lovely this state is but we tried to do it justice. What great memories to be able to live in so many different Colorado towns! Yes, we have been to Redcliff and it's such a great place, we agree.
Colorado Springs is also my hometown, or nearby Security. I lived there 30 years and love visiting as often as possible. Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and hiking Pikes Peak are just a few of my favorite places. My father retired while stationed at Fort Carson. I worked construction in many of the towns you mentioned, but now live near Seattle. Thanks for the RUclips.
These are some of the awesome places I love in the city as well. I also lived in Seattle when going to college, it's also a great place to live. Thanks so much for watching!
All the places on this video are all the tourist spots. I suggest if you want to see Colorado you choose a small city like Gunnison and book a hotel for two or three days. Then take day trips from that town into the surrounding area. Gunnison for instance has the best sporting goods store I have ever seen. The mountains all around in Colorado have a lot to offer but you really need to get off that beaten path to get into the outdoors.
We weren't able to just focus on the small towns that are beautiful and not touristy spots but that might be a later video idea! All of these spots were highly rated as the most beautiful, and for that reason, they tend to be the most crowded its true. If you want to visit Colorado and see smaller cities, Gunnison is a great suggestion!
I grew up in Denver, and traveled around the state quite a lot when I was younger. I saw John Denver at Red Rocks, skied at Breckenridge and Winter Park, and my Mom and Dad grew up in the San Luis Valley. Beautiful state.
I bagged John Denver's groceries when I lived in Aspen at 15 years old and worked at city market he wasn't a big tipper he bought a van full of groceries a nice man though
I spent much of last summer in CO, starting from Durango and up to Silverton and Ouray, on the million dollar highway. I would add Durango to your list and plan to visit many of the areas you mentioned!
What a wonderful place to honeymoon! It's so nice to have memories like this that stick with you forever. Hopefully you can come back to visit Ouray sometime?
I married Mike Gillan who was born there in 1974. His parents Don and Jan Gillan lived there at that time too. Just curious if you knew or heard of them?
I’d love to add Central City, Aspen, Georgetown, and Frisco. Central City has beautiful classical buildings. The opera house and churches are incredible Aspen is clean, neat, and luxury Georgetown is also a historic mining town. Let’s try the mountain train there Frisco is also beautiful. Try a boat ride at the lake to Dillion
Those are all 100% worthy towns to go into this video for sure! The thing about CO is there is so much beauty and towns that deserve to be on this list the video would be 4 hrs long 😂
I have a winter picture mounted in my office of your thumbnail scene. It's looking toward the waterfall and has the Sheraton in it. I got it about with 20 years ago when I was out there on a ski trip. Now married with 3 kids, we all went out there June of last year and stayed in Telluride for 3 days and then on to Ouray, Durango......took them on the train to Silverton and back. We then drove to the South Rim for a couple days and ended up in Scottsdale after spending two nights in Sedona. It was an awesome trip, especially for my kids, they had never been away from the Carolinas, except for a trip to Boston. My Dad's side of the family was from Montrose, so I learned how to ski at Telluride when I was a teenager.
Wow, what an amazing Colorado itinerary! How awesome, sounds like a great trip. Hope you and your kids enjoyed it! Thanks for watching. And hope you come back to Colorado soon :)
Loved Colorado Stopped for lunch in Nederland, beers in Estes park ( moose drool ), pizza in Boulder, burgers in Denver (cherry cricket) wings in Vale , all awesome done a lot of hiking too
Sounds like an amazing and delicious day trip! Nederland is a quirky town with so many fund things to do. And yes, all of the cities in Colorado have great hiking and outdoor places to explore. You're never bored here!
Hi Ryan and Carrie - Great video. I moved here 30 years ago and have been to all of these places and live in many. You did a good job capturing these highlights! Thanks - Kirk
I was born and raised in the Bay Area of California and came to Colorado to retire. One of the nicest places in Colorado is where I live in Loveland, CO. How long does one need to live in Colorado before you are a Coloradoan? I have been here now for 17 years and loved every minute of being here. California was nice but now has way too many people and the cost of living there is outrageous. Loveland is just 6 miles south of Fort Collins, another beautiful place.
These comments make me happy. Often time in these sort of videos, I read about how miserable CO is or how the political atmosphere cannot allow people to be happy here. I'm glad that there are still SOME happy Coloradans.
You forgot to mention Steamboat Springs, Co the most beautiful welcoming city or town to visit and live. Although it's the home of where most of the winter Olympians train it's also very amazing scenery. Plus they have the best Hot Springs.
Well done! Enjoyed the quality images, along with the informative narration. We can see why these beautiful towns made your list. There are still some that we need to check out! Always enjoy exploring Colorado! Happily subscribed to your great channel! 👍
We agree, the state has so many awesome places to visit and beautiful towns to see. It's hard to choose which ones to visit first. :) Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!
Yes, that is very true! These may not be the best hidden gems but they definitely offer some ideas of great things to do and to see. Thanks so much for watching!
From Chile to CA to Seattle Washington to now Colorado Springs. Amazing mountains views no matter the seasons. It has been a Great life journey from oceans to the mountains. Thank you ❤
I love in Florence Colorado and am myself a native. I agree that the views are fantastic! However, I would caution anyone wanting to visit the mountain towns that it is much more expensive to buy food and such there than the plains! but other than that it is a wonderful place to sightsee as well as outdoor activity.
Yes, this is a great point. On our blog we talk about how much more expensive food, gas, and other necessities can be to get in a small mountain town. Especially during the winter. But they do make for gorgeous and scenic places to visit or live!
We are working on another video with more hidden gems like the ones you mentioned. Thought we would cover the more well-known cities first and then lesser-known ones. Great idea!
Same here👩🏻💻 When the video started off with Glennwood Springs, I knew something was wrong. The town isnt a destination spot but the exits off 70, in Glenwood Canyon for hiking are. For example the Hanging Lake trail.
I was stunned to see Colorado’s second-largest city, Colorado Springs, population of about 500,000, listed as a “town.” And, to my astonishment, Aspen wasn’t mentioned. Or Steamboat Springs. Regardless, Telluride is truly deserving of number one.
What a amazing place! Thank you so much for video! I think Colorado best place to live. And i hope, who living peoples in there they knows how lucky peoples themselfs. Care Colorado.✌✌
I wish you would have inserted a Colorado map with each city that showed exactly where it was and the available transportation options to get to each place.
I love that town sooo much. I have nostalgia from going there when I was little.. But ever since the 2020 pandemic, it has been so different. Like the town in bursting at the seems with people. Real downside now 😭
@@HashtagColoradoLife It seems that way with a lot of towns and cities. DFW area is booming like crazy as well as Nashville. Housing keeps going up as well due to influx of people and investment companies buying up property. I’m planning on moving on families farm an hour outside of Nashville.

There's a saying that if you visit during the winter you will want to return every winter and if you visit during the summer you will move here. The winter has some of the best skiing/snowboarding. The summer has the best of everything else! The dry weather makes the winter and the summer more comfortable than most places.

One of the most beautiful states. I moved out in 2016. Still love it. REMEMBER THE SAYING OUT THERE, YOU GO ON VACATION AND LEAVE ON PROBATION.
"The Springs" as in Colorado Springs?
@@n0dedotorg yessir
You are gay
Very inspiring- thank you
How can you decide? So many beautiful mountain towns in Colorado! I feel very grateful to live in such a beautiful state!
Yes, it's true! There are so many beautiful places in this state it's hard to narrow it down. Thanks for watching!
@@HashtagColoradoLife Colorado Springs has some beautiful scenery obviously, but calling it a "town" is kind of weird because it's a pretty big city. They have Crime just like Denver.
Nothing grateful than living in RV park in Buena Vista
It would be fun to see you and friends/family in the videos like "Through my Lens". That makes it more personal.
Your narrative and photography are great. But seeing a person(s) walking/talking along in the places makes you feel like you are there with them. In the stores, restaurants activities, parks...
Thank you for the high praise!
I would have included Grand Lake. It is home to Colorado's largest natural body of water and is the Western gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It is small but cozy and is surrounded by many beautiful places where activities abound.
🤫
Yes, Grand Lake is a very beautiful place to visit in Colorado! We have been there when visiting RMNP and it's a surreal place. Thanks for the recommendation!
@@HuntFishColo Really? That's not even a hidden gem, grand lake is a straight up tourist trap 🤣..now Lake San Cristobal is another story
Hi, where is the polygraph test that was talked about on the news about the Ramsey Case? Otherwise, this case would have been solved.
Durango and Pagosa Springs!
Colorado is my home. I moved here 25 years ago and it still takes my breath away. I love living here!
We couldn't agree more! The state really has some gorgeous cities to see.
Where in Colorado?
Awl, grew up around Boulder. Loved it, wish I could afford to live there now. It is pricey! But so much to do in Colorado and so laid back. Miss it!
Deadheads unite!
Yay, so glad we were able to inspire you! Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. 💚
Wouldn't surprise me with all the douchebag overflow from Telluride (which is probably the prettiest town in CO it should be noted.)
Final note: *your list is HEAVILY weighted towards places douchebags live.* Anyone reading: you're gonna have a lot better time hanging with the locals in Mancos or Gunnison or South Fork than Aspen.
I am also a Colorado native, from the
Eastern Plains.
The beauty of Colorado I'll carry for my entire life!
yes, we agree!!
I've been all over Colorado, and i agree Telluride was the most beautiful area in the state.
Great suggestion! We hope to visit Canada soon. Thanks so much for watching.
I visited Canmore, with a Calgary local, on the way to Banff several years ago. Canmore was my favorite place!
Absolutely loved this video! I recently posted something at [5:10] about local experiences too. It’s great to see how these spots are covered by different creators! 🌟
Just did a tour of many listed beautiful towns. Y’all have a plethora of amazing views. If a Floridian, it is like another wonderful p,a net earth
Sounds awesome, thank you so much for watching!!!
I live in Utah, but absolutely love everywhere I’ve visited in CO. It’s a beautiful place.
It really is! Thanks so much for watching. Utah is also a very beautiful place to visit. 👍
Colrado and Utah, my absolute favorite states in the US!
Agree that Utah and CO are both so beautiful. I live in CO but have taken trips through Utah. The landscape there is so unique, it’s like being on another planet. My favorite place in Utah is Bryce Canyon. Just stunning.
Doesn't Utah get the Rocky mtns too but on the other side?
Hello, just wanted to say that this video was amazing and beautiful. I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life and still love to see such beautiful views around the state. I appreciate you folks showing everyone the beauty of our state!

Every day is an adventure living out here. What a great state to live and play in. We never run out of things to do or places to see.
So true, and we just love it here! Thanks for watching!
i love the gondola in breck, we took it up to one of the peaks during the wintertime and the view was breathtaking, and i think it was the one pictured at 6:05
Totes. And it is free! Which is just about unheard of in ski towns.
Wow, such crazy fun memories and awesome times in Colorado! Thanks so much for watching.
I think Pagosa Springs should be on this list, quaint little town. Beautiful area with sulphur baths and mountains.
You're right, Pagosa Springs is a beautiful town in Colorado. It's on our list of places to visit this year!
I agree. Wolf Creek is one of my favorite mountains to ski
Moving back in February after living in South Florida for a year and a half. It’s my home and I cannot wait to be back.
Yay!! Can't wait for you to be back. Hope you enjoy the cooler temps 👍
My wife and I stayed in Telluride in September. It was the most beautiful, awe-inspiring place I have ever visited. Can’t wait to return.
It really is a beautiful place! So glad you got to experience it. Thanks for watching!
Visited Colorado twice for road trips. Loved every minute of it. So beautiful. My favorites were Ouray and the Gunnison area, and the vistas of the San Juan Mountains.
Amazing! Colorado is a great state for road trips. We are planning a few this year! Thanks for watching 👍
Wow, so amazing that you've been able to visit so much of Colorado. You know what a spectacular state it is. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching our video!

western part of Denver is spectacular whereever you visit in Colorado. Love this state and visit every year from Texas.
I live in Colorado, yet it has amazing and beautiful views… it’s all a tourist attraction and it’s packed with people
Kinda the way the state is now. It's almost like CO has so much natural beauty and wonder that 49 other states wanna come check it out year round! Goods and bad of tourism.
PRIMETIME!!🙌🏾🏈
Cool and beautiful
Thanks so much!
Wow, sounds like an amazing destination! Thanks so much for sharing. :) The San Luis Valley does have some amazing views and scenery.

Colorado is renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, from majestic mountains to tranquil lakes and vibrant forests. Amidst this scenic backdrop, several towns stand out as epitomes of charm, beauty, and cultural richness.
Great perspective and we totally agree! Thanks for watching 👍
Gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. I'm Scottish and we have some amazing scenery but I would like to visit Colorado ❤
What an awesome experience! In the winter especially, Colorado is such a peaceful place.
My sister lives in Granby. It's beautiful and so close to Rocky Mountain National Park. I love going up and visiting her. It's also the town known for the Killdozer incident. That shit was crazy.
❤❤❤😢😢😢😮😮😮I love these place. I hope i can do my driving and walking vlog tour here..more power to your channel.
Sounds like an amazing time here! Hopefully you can come back and visit sometime.
I’m from GA & have a daughter who has lived there since 2015. Been all over CO & it never gets old. Breathtaking views. (but I’m more of a beach gal.)
thanks for this vidoe with so amazing places
Frisco, cool old mining town on the shore of Lake Dillon is not to be missed.
We agree, Dillon Silverthorn area is one of our favorite towns to visit in Colorado. There are so many it's hard to narrow it down. Great suggestion!
Thanks for the nice video. It provided a lot of useful information. 🤩😍
High praise. Thank you!
Baby it’s so beautiful there Colorado

I drove out to Telluride from L.A. the last 2 years. Just one of those places where the pictures don't do it justice. Telluride Town Park is one of my favorite parks in the U.S. Tons of great hiking trails all around the area and just amazing scenery every where you go. Also really fun place for off roaders.
Yes, we couldn't agree more! It's hard for a short video like this to capture the beauty of this state. Thanks for watching!
I lived in Boulder, back in the mid to late '70.. I first pulled into the over look and fell in love..! Back then, things were way cool, lol...! If you do check it out, remember to enjoy yourself..
We agree, Boulder is a very cool place even now! We lived there for 3 years and loved it. Such a fun mountain town!
I lived in the Springs from ‘65-‘69 I absolutely loved it there! Our daughter was born at the AF Academy. I’d love to visit it again!
How awesome! I'm glad that I was born in Colorado Springs, it's a great place to live.
WOW! High praise!!
CO is pretty awesome. And Emerald Lake is awesome! Favorite time to go is in winter.. but I just love snowshoeing.
It’s hard to choose, Colorado has such beauty. Pretty much anywhere you go.
Yes, that is so true! It was hard for us to choose our top favorites.
My dream state ...... used to own a condominium in Vail back in the eighties, love the place , God Bless
Yes, Vail is a beautiful place to live! Hopefully you can come back soon. Thanks for watching!
Liked and enjoyed. Great video and pleasant voiceover. Planning to visit all of the mountain townlocations, soon. All the best!
High praise! Hope you enjoy that trip!
Such great memories! So glad you've been able to enjoy this amazing state over the years. Thanks so much for watching!
I bagged John Denver's groceries when I lived in Aspen at 15 years old and worked at city market he wasn't a big tipper he bought a van full of groceries a nice man though
Pretty good list of places to visit. I personally prefer staying away from some of those crowds and tourist traps. Lots of remote beauty in Colorado.
Totally agree! There is beauty all over the state, no matter where you go. Thanks for watching!
I was in Colorado for four months and had the pleasure seeing all of those towns. My heart stayed in Crested Butte/Gunnison.
Did you make it to Black Canyon of the Gunnison Natl Park? That is probably CO's best kept secret.
@@ryannicholson3714yes we did! Luckily we were able to get permits for the Gunnison route. Hardest hike of my life!

I spent much of last summer in CO, starting from Durango and up to Silverton and Ouray, on the million dollar highway. I would add Durango to your list and plan to visit many of the areas you mentioned!
Great suggestion! We will have to add that one next time :)
Ouray is where I went for my honeymoon in like 86. I forget her name but will never forget my stay there. Very pretty place.
What a wonderful place to honeymoon! It's so nice to have memories like this that stick with you forever. Hopefully you can come back to visit Ouray sometime?
Lived in Evergreen in the late 70's, it was very nice then.
I married Mike Gillan who was born there in 1974. His parents Don and Jan Gillan lived there at that time too. Just curious if you knew or heard of them?
I’d love to add Central City, Aspen, Georgetown, and Frisco.
Central City has beautiful classical buildings. The opera house and churches are incredible
Aspen is clean, neat, and luxury
Georgetown is also a historic mining town. Let’s try the mountain train there
Frisco is also beautiful. Try a boat ride at the lake to Dillion
Those are all 100% worthy towns to go into this video for sure! The thing about CO is there is so much beauty and towns that deserve to be on this list the video would be 4 hrs long 😂
This video makes me homesick. So many of my favorite places...nice video!
Glad we were able to share some places that brought back good memories. Sorry you're feeling homesick!
Hi Ryan, I lived in Colorado for a while a long time ago, I love your video, thanks a lot. Nothing like natural places to enjoy it.
Thank you!! Nothing quite better, is there?

Hi Ryan and Carrie - Great video. I moved here 30 years ago and have been to all of these places and live in many. You did a good job capturing these highlights! Thanks - Kirk
Thank you much for the high praise!
Loveland is a great town. One of the quieter places along the front range. You are a Coloradoan (is that how it is spelled?) whenever you say you are!
Its good to mention Aspen and Steambot. We moved to Colorado in 2000, travelled pretty much everywhere and still enjoy every moment in here!
Telluride, Breck and Vail are all so pretty. Breck has some amazing horse riding through the ski lift areas in the summer. 🏔️
Yes, great suggestions! There's so much to do in these towns in both summer and winter months. Horseback riding is a fun activity!
we always headed out to the Royal Gorge to horseback ride...
Well done! Enjoyed the quality images, along with the informative narration. We can see why these beautiful towns made your list. There are still some that we need to check out! Always enjoy exploring Colorado! Happily subscribed to your great channel! 👍

Thanks for the content! So any gems in the state. I find going away from the most popular destinations offers more value.
Thank you ❤
We agree! The pacific northwest is also very beautiful, as is California. Thanks so much for watching!
Steamboat springs as well!
Steamboat Springs is indeed a very pretty town. It's a bit far away from anything else but that can add to the appeal!
Was expecting more off-the-beaten-path type locales, like Redstone, Creed, Lake City, etc.
We are working on another video with more hidden gems like the ones you mentioned. Thought we would cover the more well-known cities first and then lesser-known ones. Great idea!
Same here👩🏻💻
When the video started off with Glennwood Springs, I knew something was wrong. The town isnt a destination spot but the exits off 70, in Glenwood Canyon for hiking are. For example the Hanging Lake trail.
@@Ουρανία-ψ7σ Admission to the hot springs pool is $40.00 these days….you can leave and come back, but still…..
@@Ουρανία-ψ7σ It's true there are a lot of great hiking spots in Glenwood Canyon. We love hiking there every year.
I was stunned to see Colorado’s second-largest city, Colorado Springs, population of about 500,000, listed as a “town.” And, to my astonishment, Aspen wasn’t mentioned. Or Steamboat Springs. Regardless, Telluride is truly deserving of number one.
Steamboat is amazing.
Aspen not so much
What a amazing place! Thank you so much for video! I think Colorado best place to live. And i hope, who living peoples in there they knows how lucky peoples themselfs. Care Colorado.✌✌
I wish you would have inserted a Colorado map with each city that showed exactly where it was and the available transportation options to get to each place.
Great idea! Thankfully most of these towns are only within a few hours of each other so it's not too bad for driving. Thanks for watching!
Estes Park is a beautiful little town. I try to go there every time I come visit my grandpa in Loveland.
Visited your state (Durango) last month first time. I'm really hoping my vacation wears off soon...Having a hard time not packing for a permanent move! Loved every moment and found its residents very welcoming. May need that U-Haul yet♡ .thank you for video! Enjoyed it very much!
Yay! Colorado is a great state to visit and live in. We love it here! So glad your trip was a memorable one. Durango is a beautiful place, we might need to make a video about it soon. Thanks so much for watching! ☺️
There's a saying that if you visit during the winter you will want to return every winter and if you visit during the summer you will move here.
The winter has some of the best skiing/snowboarding. The summer has the best of everything else! The dry weather makes the winter and the summer more comfortable than most places.
@@Jonathan.D That is a very true statement! We enjoy both the summer and winter seasons here but they both offer very different experiences.
Man I really want to come visit soon!! This is beautiful! I especially want to relocate to Colorado I love the mountains I hope to be able to do it soon this is amazing and a change I've been wanting to do for a very long time
Love Collerado, visited Breckinridge for Ski-ing on 3 seperate 14 day hollidays. Some of the best ski-ing and the town offered good nightlife for America standards. I do remember Bubba Gumps restaurant so it does have some chain stores. Also been to Vail.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Breckenridge is a great place to visit and we try to do it as often as possible. Vail is also a very nice place but can be very touristy at times.
