  • Oasis Amarillo RV Resort in Texas is rated by Good Sam as a 10-10-10 Resort, and in the top 5 resorts in Texas! It’s in the panhandle, easy access off I-40 (also called the infamous Historic Route 66) at exit 60. The resort has wide paved roads with 192 spacious and concrete level sites, most of which are pull throughs in the 80 ft range and all with full hook ups, 30/50 Amp.
It’s easy to navigate the park, even with a tow vehicle. Daily, weekly, and extended stays are offered. Good Sam members receive a 10% discount, retired military discounts are 15% and active military get half off daily and weekly rates!
There are also 10 of the cutest little rental cabins. These cottages can be for two or for a family. They each have a queen master bedroom, a large loft, full bathroom, a sofa that can open into a bed, a full-size kitchen with appliances, and a large screen TV. Additionally, you can watch the Amarillo sunrise and sunset from the front porch and have a picnic on your patio! And a necessary item…the office staff is friendly and knowledgeable!
There are many amenities including a pet friendly environment with a dog run, a gift shop with lots of necessary and fun supplies, a game room, playground for the kiddos, free cable TV and basic Wi-Fi. There are three separate laundry, bath house facilities that also include tornado shelters, as well as a seasonal pool and spa. Additionally on-site propane service is available. Special party activities are offered at certain holidays!
The resort is located in a quiet area on the west side Amarillo, and just a short distance from restaurants, shopping galore and historic sites. Some interesting places to visit are Palo Duro Canyon (second largest canyon in the US), Caprock Canyon State Park, the Amarillo Zoo, Pan Handle Plains Historic Museum, Hodgetown Baseball Stadium, the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts for Symphony & Opera, the American Quarterhorse Hall of Fame, and much more.
This is a place you’ll want to check out, whether overnight as we did, or extend your stay as long as you like. It’s a friendly place!
