You might look forever and never find anyone that's funny as Christopher Loyd playing Jim Ignatowski.
I found someone.. Andy Kauffman.
Or Danny Devito playing Louie DePalma 😂😅
Lloyd
IGGY!!!!!!! Got a phone coalll
Christopher Lloyd was hilarious in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, especially when the cigarette started burning in his pants leg
Reverend Jim was the best, taxi was one of the funniest comedies ever
Why was it canceled
"I must have had music lessons"
One of the best shows ever made
One of the best episodes was when Jim tried a pot brownie in college. Almost wet myself! 😂
Jim was a rich, uptight prude who only tried a pot brownie to get his girlfriend off his back. One little nibble and it was like he’d seen the face of God.
Before Cheers, before Seinfeld, before Friends, there was Taxi.
Yes but before taxi there was Barney Miller.
@@Tabish29
...and somewhere in the mix was WKRP in Cincinnati... 😄
B4 Taxi, Srgnt Bilko. 😅
Let's also be glad we saw SOAP.
And the Simpsons ❤
His best scene was when the aliens took him up in their ship and came right back down with him and threw him out
The cocaine episode was one of the funnier episodes, but nothing like Reverend Jim's driving test. This was indeed one of the funniest shows ever to air on television.
This show was filled to the brim with some of the greatest TV characters in history
One of the most original characters in television history IMO.
One of the best comedies ever on TV. The cast was brilliant!
" My God, I know her!"
Gets me every time.😂
I started laughing at the one with the painting...😅 I had seen it. Knew what was coming.
"She dyed her hair, but that's her. "
Jim doing his license test! Too funny
Still laugh out loud at that scene
😂😂 You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet😂😂😂 Jim Ignatowski for president
Would probably do a better job and the country would be a happier place with people wanting to engage with each other like the good old days
I think you may have gotten your wish. This is Biden’s intelligence.
@@rushpuppy2I would still rather have Iggy.
Taxi was such a FUNNY show. Every character was perfect. But Jim was over the top! What a super actor Christopher Lloyd was. Imagine how difficult it would've been to maintain that persona. What an actor...the best hands down!
He's still alive isn't he?
@@LordMalice6d9
...and still working, I believe...🫠
Was?
Did he pass?
Jim was fas.
All my life I have shared the same name as Christopher Lloyd 😊 and that’s pretty cool.
That’s awesome !!!!
They left out the funniest part of the cabin sketch. After Jim bangs his head he says 'Where the hell are we!" Somebody says "We're in a cabin in the woods." Jim asks, "Are we lumberjacks?" "No we're cab drivers." Jim then says, "We must not get a lot of business up here."
Not funny, black borderline profound: how does a mountain girl make love?
Like an angel ..
"what does a yellow light mean?", my personal favorite scene
Me too! “What does a yellow light mean?”
Slow down……
@@robertabray-enhus3198 Okay whaaaat....doooes....a.....yelllllooooww....liiiiiiight.....mean?
Drug addiction, or suicidal tendencies?
Hmmm,, tough choice!
Slow. Procede with caution.
That one was great lol
Those faces he made playing the piano 😂😂..
*_"... southern Peru. '74, before the rains."_* Had me laughing so hard. Christopher Lloyd was perfect as Jim.
without a doubt.😂😅
He absolutely was. MY FAVORITE was the drivers license. What does a yellow light mean. Go slower. What …
One of the best shows ever
Dr. Emmett Brown 😊😊
CHRISTOPHER LLOYD IS A GRAND PIANIST FOR REAL....THE SHOTS OF HIM PLAYING IN HERE....IS ACTUALLY HIM...♥️🕊️👈👍🇺🇲💪
That is so cool. I got goosebumps. You look at his gifts, just incredible.
We had the comic genius Les Dawson in the U.K. To play a classical piece is one thing, to play it out of tune is much more complicated than you think. Les Dawson & well loved Welsh singer Shirley Bassey below:
ruclips.net/video/qxmu9HKN4gY/видео.html
wow I was wondering❤
😂, not a pianist. Nice try 😜
I forgot how much I loved that show😂
One of the greatest casts of TV ever.
Reverend Jim is the epitome of humor! Thanks so much for sharing this! ❤
Why can't we have stuff on TV like this
DEI won't allow it ...
Because you chose marketing and business administration
@@0U812FUyou're nursing that red sss awful hard. If you quit picking at it, it will heal.
It's been a long time
Where did all your hair go ?
@@JamesPilkenton-se5cx go? Pffff...never was...
He was just great in this role. He made me laugh all the time .
Jim may have been insure and obtuse but he always did the right thing for everyone and was one of the coolest people on the show
Well, MY favorite is the DMV footage. "What does a yellow light mean?"
"Chemistry?!! Oh yeah, Id say, I know chemistry ..."
Between Foster Brooks and Christopher Lloyed ; they both portraid their act of genius with the unforgettable comedy that we all enjoyed through these years....i always laughed my arse off!!!!! Thank you both so much for your true comedy!! "The greatest!"...😅😅😂😂❤❤❤
I nominate Ignatowski by Lloyd as one of the funniest sitcom characters of all-time!
I second that!
Best comedy actor for decades.
Christopher Lloyd nailed that part! Genius.
My favorite episode of his is when he was taking his written driver's test and he kept asking what does a yellow light mean ? And when they said slow down that's exactly what he did, he kept asking the question slower and slower !!! It was hilarious !!! 😝
This series was a talent showcase, and nearly as endearing as MASH
Nearly? NEARLY? Taxi was the first, it was way ahead of its time, MASH was a great show, but Taxi was much better!
this show had so much talent up and down
You can see that Michael Richards Kramer pulled some of Jim's behavior into his character
14:09
Best scene was the driver license test
Oh hell yes
I like Louie and the girl scout cookies.
What do you do at a yellow light?
Slow down.

This was comedy at its best, Jim was played so well...i still crack up after seeing some scenes a hundred times. all of them were so much better than what we have today, the writing was excellent too. Karol Kane as Simka and Andy Kaufman as Latka were killers, Simka's way of talking was so sweet...and funny...and Kaufman was a genius. Miss them all so much!!
Is it my imagination, but when I see him playing the piano, his fingers are really playing.
I wouldn't doubt it, he was really talented and capable.
He was a trained pianist
He was really playing, Christopher Lloyd was a classically trained pianist!
Christopher Lloyed was tops with his part in Taxi; an all time acid burnt out from the days of true comedy!!😅😅🎉😂😂❤❤
"she's right but I am dead serious!" The look on Elaine's face 😂
This is pure genius!
Man I loved Taxi! What a great show! But I also used to crack up at the live audience laughing! 😂 specially the guy on the back hilarious crack up! “Haww….haw!”👋🤣👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
My son & I saw this. Hysterical!!
My favorite episode of Taxi was when he had to take the written drivers test and they all went with him to help. One of the questions was ‘what does a yellow light mean’. They all said”slow down” so he asked the question again very slowly. I laughed until I cried!!!
what a great actor
Watching this comedic vignette after what 25 years of Taxi on Thursday night? Jim was the subtle super comedic star of this brilliant ensemble! There are NO comedies today that come close to the comedy writing of Taxi!
16:35 Marilu Henner is hysterical & Iggy even breaks the unbreakable Danny Devito for just a second
Chris Lloyd and Michael Richards are the best at what they do
Must have had... Piano lessons. Funny, classy, understated!
For me, the piano-playing skit on Taxi was among the very top skits ever put together. It is so brilliant that it made such a lasting impression I've retold and shared it many times.
Talented man. Play this part superbly.
I loved this show and Christopher Lloyd playing Jim Ignatowski was the only reason why.. Excellent Job Iggy
Henner was stunning in the piano scene.
She's stunning to this day, her beauty is unreal...
How lovely was marylou henna
Marilu Henner.
A longtime dancer in musicals, one could see her ballet training.
She also is one of those impossibly rare people who can remember what she was doing on any day in her life.
She has been in many parts on tv and movies.
"No Vivaldi in the garage." 😂
God I miss this show and this kinda comedy
Priceless!😂😂😂
Jim at the piano best scene in the entire series “ l must have had music lessons”
I knew several Jim's in real life. One could have actually named the town closest to the leaves in the cookies. Sadly, he is now gone. Jim remains...as one of the truly great characters in comedy. You can't watch without at least cracking a smile.
NOT funny at all. HORRIBLE show.
PATHETIC.
I remember watching the piano episode when it aired and I was laughing my Azz Off!! Just now watching it again......I laughed my Azz off!! Jim was my favorite on TAXI. That show is "top-notch" comedy and should be playing everywhere!
Every time I see Back to the future I wait for Igy to come out
Jim rocks!!!
I laughed so much with this . Brilliant
cheers and taxi, we’re awesome,! 🙏🏽❤️❤️👍
Great memories. My dad would laugh his ass off. Thank you. I miss my dad
Brilliant character. I didn't remember the cookie tasting, so thanks for bringing it back. Perfectly executed.
My fave scene is where Tony Danza says he feels nothing and goes to get a soda… then picks up the whole machine
5:49 "My God, I know her!" LOL....that delivery, cracks me up every time. One of the coolest TV characters for sure!
Damn that was a funny ass show .😅😅
This was a great show ..loved it
I watched this growimg up. Awsome show. Just like Magnum PI, Cheers, Family Matters, Rockford Files...
Did Jim just say we have the same tie size😂😂😂😂
❤and Doc...love him so much
He was my favorite character on the show
Miss these days this comedy hits more now than then
Imagine how hard it was for Danny to keep a straight face during this bit
He almost lost it a couple of times
@@miketroiano1 dont ya think he was the prequel to Kramer on Seinfeld ...both Christopher and Michael were in a class by themselves...
Foe Sure!@@rdowning60
@@rdowning60Richards was supposed to be Monk in the series "Monk" but I can only see Shaloub pulling it off so great.
Id love to see the episode where Rev Jim is preaching ...what a punch line.
Christopher Lloyd is brilliant. 😂 credit to the writers, too.
I loved the one where he made a dollhouse for Nardo but taking a welding torch to the can he lived in, exposing himself to the elements. Beautiful character.
Great video. I learned a lot. I watched this years ago. I'm glad I found it again. I'm 59 and still frolic and my wife posts them to our friends
No doubt being comedic genius!
3:00 When he started playing that piece - literally put me on the floor
As I am sure many have said in this thread, one of the greatest comedic actors as part of an ensemble. He and Louie are my favorite of the cast, although they were all wonderful. But Chris Lloyd stole every scene he was in.
Iggy was and still is the greatest. Star Trek, Back to the Future, and Mister Bran.
Jim was a Harvard man afterall.
He was so funny
For some time my friends used to call me rev. Jim, l didn't know why, much later my youngest daughtet gifted me the whole Taxi series in dvds. Then, l inderstood what drugs do to you.
Taxi part 2 is and was my all time favorite skit.....😅😅😅😅😂😂😂❤
They missed out by not including when he took the written driver's license test. Classic and hilarious.
Loved this show..❤❤
Reverend Jim was my role model
Oops!!😂
Taxi was good to begin with, but when they added Reverend Jim the show went thru the roof!
Too me it is ta toss-up between Louie and Iggy 😊
I’ve told others about the segment when Jim played classical music many times over the years. It’s a treat to see that again. 👍
Iggy is by far the best character ever
It's such a shame that some people only know Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. He has such an impressive body of work that the younger among us have never seen.
This show had a lot of hilarious episodes, but my favorite is "Jim's Dream," where he predicted Alex's death.
My favorite TV show ever 🎉❤😊.
All most all of us have run into a Reverend Jim(s) in our life's. And of course we failed to appreciate and enjoy the blessing at hand.
Taxi was my favorite show back then , Jim was a killer , they all were .
