You can watch this 100 years from now and it'll still be the best written and best comedic gold. My wife and I watch Seinfeld every single night and never get tired of it.
Oscar awards are for MOVIES. Emmy awards are for TV SERIES. Grammy awards are for MUSIC. Tony awards are for THEATER. Seinfeld is a tv series, not a movie! Furthermore, Michael Richards earned three Emmy awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (1993, 1994, 1997). So, he got his awards already.
I used to watch Michael do this type of Kramer character on the show Fridays, which was LA's version of Saturday night live in the early 80's, he was my favorite character.
Kramer is by far my favorite character of this show and my favorite character of all time. Kramer at the pizza shop ordering and paying for the calzones was the best.
Yes I agree I was waiting and expecting that....also when he names a fighting cockerel after Jerry....and his mate the midget...lots of brilliant Kramer moments probably too many for a short video
+Zekee27 I was dating this girl in Marshall, Texas. Yea, that Marshall, Texas. So anyway. The local exchange is the same as Shreveport Louisiana. Her number was the exact same as the water park. one scene it was missing is the hoochy mama scene from the episode where kramer takes geroge's parents screen door and puts in onto his. Best kramer scene out there.
“Why in the world would a Julliard-trained physician send a patient to another doctor??” But you’re not a real doctor!!” “But he thinks I am-and I don’t want to betray that trust!”
Great list. Last one is my favorite all time. Pounding that beer with a smoke in his mouth was truly unique. Also I've never seen someone slide off of a vertical surface as in the Calvin Klein episode. Genius.
No Assman? Being interrogated by the cops as the Smog Strangler? Playing Risk on the subway with Newman? And the quintessential Kramer moment, (slaps money down) "I'm out! Yeah, I'm (brrooooop) outta the contest!!"
It wasn't a slap. I've seen the clip, and it was nowhere near a slap. It was a playful tap. She responded by joking around and hitting back and when she accidentally hit him in the nuts Richards even joked about it saying " Oh she hit my nuts. Nope, I can't keep working."
@1:04 This scene reminds me of Michael Richard's character in Problem Child. He was fantastic as Kramer, but so sadistic and hilarious in Problem Child - love his acting!
I remember him from an old late night show called "Fridays"... He was pretty intense even then! Just read on Wikipedia that some of the episodes are available for streaming - I'll need to go on the hunt!
"George, why would I a Juliard trained Dermatologist send him to another doctor? I need to get a sample...just let me get my slicer" "NO! You are not taking a slicer to my boss!" "Ok, but it's my professional opinion that you're making a big mistake, and it's GOing in my chart!" *writes furiously*
It was a great ability from his part that he always managed to be serious while he was doing all this hilarious scenes, and not laugh at his own scenes, while the rest of us were cracking up.! Unfortunately once outside Seinfeld, his career didnt reflect his genius. It kind of died off , i guess reason being not having the great cast and sceenplay that Seinfeld had. ! But he was the best while it last.!
I think we all want a Kramer on our roster of friends. A dude who you can pitch any crazy idea to and before you finish your sentence just interrupts and says "yeah man, im in! lets go!"
where's the clip where kramer is in the pimp getup, taking a puff of a cigarette and chugging the beer then blowing out the smoke? That one's a classic.
That final scene was so great. What stuck out was the ducking down while entering the bathroom and just spontaneously kicking in the crapper and taking a photo. It could've been the wrong one!!! *Dead*
w roberts No....he was appreciated when Seinfeld was on air. A few years after it ended of course most of the cast was sort of out of the spotlight, especially Richards. Not really the definition of under appreciated. And the meltdown incident caused a backlash, not under appreciation.
Not as good a carrey, but close!! You ever watch some of the stuff Jim did on “In living color?” Carrey is up there with the all time greats of physical comedy!
Dennis Leavitt Carrey was an overactor. He had a great wit, and comedic sense, but never displayed the absolute comedic mastery that Richard's had in spades. I can't recall a moment in Seinfeld where his performance was even worthy of criticism. He just always hit the mark.

This has to be one of the most well writen and acted characters in the history of American T.V its incredible.
Exactly. I can not teach anybody anything, I can only make them think.
Actually based on a real person Larry David knew called Kramer
Absolutely!!!!!😂❤
You can watch this 100 years from now and it'll still be the best written and best comedic gold. My wife and I watch Seinfeld every single night and never get tired of it.
Best physical actor of his generation. Always a hoot.
Seriously? Uh, Chris Farley?
David Hyde Pierce
Best character in past 30 years
Mr bean holds that title man, but he's 2nd best for sure. Mr.Bean was an international hit based solely on his physical comedy Not words needed.

"moles freckles ugly cousin." Kramer had some of the best lines!
1:50 The "calzone" scene gets me every time! The kick to the counter does it.

It's pure art! Just like Family guy's "Boopa di baapa"
Too much change
Tleatherland Yes!! Pure genius here...so classic.
That part gets me too and when the black lady looks back,I get too damned tickled
You just cannot take your eyes off of this guy when he is in the scene. Thanks to Jerry Seinfeld, we got the greatest character in sitcom.
Michael Richards deserves an Oscar for Kramer.
Ok boomer
I don't thunk you understand how Oscar nominees are developed...
People. It's a joke. Isn't that why you're here? Because you have a sense of humor? Duh!

A Juilliard trained dermatologist 😂😂 The medical student in me loves that line!
The old Merv Griffin set, comedy genius!
Yes that is my all time favorite seen of Kramer. Eating a snack during intermission.
"Scandals and Animals" never got the real platform it deserved.
When he scribbles on the notepad.. for some reason it gets me every time
The paper gets shredded. HAHA
My favorite moment is the "Well then I think one of us should leave" scene no one ever includes that in their best of 😂
If you look at Jerry as the scene is about to end, you see his lips start curling up b/c he is about to laugh. Similar to the "Fungi" scene.
A brilliant actor..you know how many times I’ve seen this...yet I’m laughing my butt off..
The last scene should have been extended to show Kramer drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette at the same time. "Here to feeling good all the time."

Best single scene on Seinfeld, genius writing.
The foot on the pizza counter gets me every damn time.
I don't know how people keep a serious face around Kramer during the show lol
+Advection357 Fun fact: Michael Richards was a very hard working actor and hated when his co-stars couldn't keep a straight face during shooting.

+deviation01 less fun fact: she actually slapped Julia Louis-Dreyfus for breaking in an outtake. They laughed it off
