I smoked cigarettes for 27 years and quit. Started vaping and continued it for 3 years and finally after thirty years of smoking I said Goodbye to both cigarettes and vaping. Now, I am not a smoker.
I smoked for a very long time and I quit with vaping. Vaping is relatively safer than smoking. Propylene glycol is not used in anti freeze, that is a different chemical that sounds alike. Most of the lung injuries have been caused by people vaping THC juice that has vitamin e acitate in it. Also, vaping at very high voltage and inhaling straight to the lung is what can cause any type of metals to be inhaled. Those people are called cloud chasers because of the large cloud of vape they exhale. I've only seen my lung health get better after quitting smoking and switching to vaping. I buy my juice from a reputable source and it has minimal ingredients in it. Vape liquid should only have propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavor and/or nicotine in it. Some people opt for 100% vegetable glycerin in it with flavoring and nicotine. As for the nicotine, yes it is a stimulant but you can get vape juice with little to no nicotine in it. Nicotine is not carcinogenic. If you smoke you should consider quitting however you can. Vaping obviously isn't 100% safe but it's at least 90-99% safer than smoking cigarettes. And as an afterthought, vaping is a heck of a lot cheaper than smoking, at least in the US where I live.
I used to smoke. And then I vaped. I quit vaping about 6 months ago and I've never felt better. Just because it's better than smoking doesn't change the fact that it's a bad habit.
I consider myself a pretty careful and relatively smart person compared to most my age. I started vaping about 4 years ago and have quit and picked it back up a few times along the way. I seem to have little trouble quitting and withdraws are almost nonexistent past day 2. However, it is painful to see that the medicinal world is still spreading misinformation about vaping. Take the benzene chemical they spoke of as an example. Comparing vaping to huffing exhaust fumes shortly after. The chemical they are misinformed of is benzoic acid (which is "non-toxic and stable under ordinary conditions"). I understand nothing we inhale will be safe, but stop spreading this gross misinfo and lies about reality to scare people. Im not saying you should vape and im not saying that it is "safe" to do, but I wish the medical industry wasn't so afraid of truth that they have to constantly lie about facts to make the situation more grim than it is. It isn't fair to those that smoke cigarettes, it isn't fair to the thousands of young adults being scared they may have serious health problems now, and it isn't fair to the educated individuals that see the medical industry lying about it. It's ridiculous.
I agree with you, except for one point: Nicotine is infact highly carcinogenic from constant exposure. It is a natural pesticide against mildew and other leaf eating bugs. It is also highly addictive if inhaled. Everything else you said is pretty accurate. And I get my fairly big clouds with 28watts on 50/50 liquids, because technological developments F yeah! :D
Im really disappointed that you did not clarify that the lung injuries that have occurred were for off market THC laced vapes. NOT nicotine vapes purchased from a legitimate vendor.
Yea that’s what Doctors paid from the government do. Everyone can read on Pubmed what causes EVALI, a Few chimicals used for THC cartridges that people get from the black market. They report this like “vaping cannabis can cause fatal lung injury” it’s not even cannabis, it’s THC LIQUID
I don't want to come across as rude (I just don't know). I stopped smoking and started vaping and really enjoy it but recently worried about health impact. So a honest question how do you know "THC laced vapes" that?
@@BalvinderSingh-uh3my it was a massive news story when people started becoming ill. It was not legitimate THC cartridges from a dispensary. It was not nicotine vapes from a legitimate vendor. There are interviews with some of the people that got sick online.
@@JustSheilzso? Nicotine vapes are still fuckin terrible for you. So are so called “dispensary carts” u really trust government regulated carts, where most ppl take blinkers and heat the metal too much inside the carts? Even without blinkers they’re still terrible for you. Flower / bud is probably the least risky option, even that is still gonna not be great for ur lungs tho. Stop trying to defend inhaling substances, inhale oxygen lmao.
After smoking cigs for decades and made numerous attempts to quit… I switched to vaping for a few years and then to the patch and finally stopped it all. Vaping saved my life and enabled me to step down and quit. Combustible cigs are the biggest danger, and vapor can be a fantastic help to move away from that harm.
There are ways that work for some and not for others, so more ways should mean more quitting, but these guys are saying they aren't safe and are actually gaining nicotine addictions net.. Wonder about second hand vape? lol
It’s funny, you used vaping to quit smoking, my friends use smoking to quit vaping. You can vape anywhere, but Can really only smoke outdoors (I know you legally can’t vape everywhere but you can if you’re sneaky)
@@ezrahaskard3527facts, same here, imo vaping is much more addictive due to being able to smoke anywhere and everywhere. U can literally ghost hits in a grocery store if u want to, literally anywhere. Its a much more addictive damaging habit imo.
Ingredients in vape e-liquid: 1) vegetable glycerin - typically made from soybean, coconut or palm oils. 2) propylene glycol - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is "generally recognized as safe" for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products 3) nicotine - used as an insecticide Ingredients in cigarettes: 1) Acetone - found in nail polish remover 2) Acetic acid - an ingredient in hair dye 3) Ammonia - a common household cleaner 4) Arsenic - used in rat poison 5) Benzene - found in rubber cement and gasoline 6) Butane - used in lighterfluid 7) Cadmium - active component in battery acid 8) Carbon monoxide - released in car exhaust fumes 9) Formaldehyde - embalmingfluid 10) Hexamine - found in barbecue lighter fluid 11) Lead - used in batteries 12) Naphthalene - an ingredient in mothballs 13) Methanol - a main component in rocket fuel 14) Nicotine - used as an insecticide 15) Tar material - for paving roads 16) Toluene - used to manufacture paint
So we will have to disagree on a few things. First you left our some items in your desorption. Second when propylene glycol is vaporized with heat it is different than consuming it. And yes cigarettes are worse. But vaping is still bad for you. Not sure if you are trying to convince us or yourself.
@@TalkingWithDocs On the contrary, if I had to choose to keep smoking cigarettes or use vaping as a way to quit, clearly vaping would be the better way to go.
@@TalkingWithDocsPropylene glycol vapor is no different chemically to its liquid form & at vaping temperatures can be condensed back into propylene glycol. Vaporize it at too high a temperature & it breaks down into some nasty chemicals & is far too unpleasant tasting to vape. You are repeating misinformation that comes from poor research.
@@TalkingWithDocs Hi I vaped for the first time two weeks ago. Bought a vaping device , put liquid in that contained small amounts of nicotine. After vaping my throat started to feel sore. I then developed throat inflammation / infection, and with catarrh gathering in the throat. 2 weeks later i still have the throat soreness. Anyone know why that is and why it happened ? I didnt vape heavily Has anyone had similar experiences ? And how to cure this problem ?
This is misinformation, for example: Conducted studies show that the average exposure to formaldehyde is around 1 microgram per day and that vaping exposes the e-cigarette user to an additional 0.08 micrograms. This is drastically lower than the exposure to formaldehyde from smoking which is between 3.4 micrograms to 8.8 micrograms/cigarette. You can get higher exposure to formaldehyde by vaporising it at very high temperatures, but almost all vaping products don't get to that higher level of temperature. I respect what you are trying to do, but giving a twisted opinion about this doesn't help the matter, and you could have done much better by showing scientific facts and not generalisations.
I was a cigarette smoker for many years and switched to vaping. I live in NJ so you can't purchase flavored liquid for vaping so I mixed my own. Early on I found I didn't like PG so I made mine with Vegetable Glycerin. I'm not saying vaping is good for you but I can tell you in a short time most of the effects of cigarette smoking went away. No more scratchy throat or coughing. No more shortness of breath and no more nasty smell. I could take a deep breath without that itchy feeling and could walk a few miles with no problem. As far as cost it is a fraction of what smoking cigarettes is. I'm not promoting the habit in any way but if you go from smoking to vaping you will notice major improvements in a pretty short time. Of course the best scenario is to transition off of vaping as well.
We make our own as well, and don’t use any of the flavoring which is what was causing lung issues. We use the vegetable glycerin as well. We were smokers for many years, and I agree with you about feeling better not to mention the nonexistent of the smelly cigarette.
Also as you mentioned in your video that nicotine is a highly addictive substance. Millions of people have found it almost impossible to quit cigarettes. The outright attack on vaping and the new regulations against it have put that out of reach for many smokers and is counter productive medically. Vaping has been around long enough that there is glaring evidence that it is a much safer alternative to smoking cigarettes and switching may even save your life. Although the focus of a lot of people now days is to ban vaping outright cigarettes are still much more widely available then vaping products and supplies ever were. There are very few places within driving distance of my house that sell vaping devices, juice, and ingredients. Many of them have been forced out of business. There are many hundreds of stores, some within walking distance, where I can purchase cigarettes. Possibly one of the most dangerous consumer products on the market. Going after vaping is a classic example of putting the horse before the cart. Not surprising considering the money involved though.
100 percent agree. I’ve switched back to vaping off of cigs the last few days. Feel way better for it already. Yes in an ideal world do neither, but vaping is much healthier than cigs
Personally, I'm approaching my 30s here and still feel a lot better vaping vs smoking a cigarette. Now I know that in a perfect world that I shouldn't be smoking either however the world isn't perfect, so I have to choose my battles here. Now what I did do was do a lot of research on vaping before making the switch, I wanted to make sure I was making an informed decision during that time. Starting with the benzene: From the several studies I've read over the last five or so years, while benzene is in vapes, the amount claimed is less straight forward. Benzoic acid was found specifically in JUUL brand nicotine salt e-liquid at 45 mg/ml or 4.5%, compare that to other commercial brands of e-liquid and you're looking at 0.02-2 mg/ml or 0.2%. In several studies they claim that the benzene produced via vaping is more so than you'd find in the Ambiant atmosphere however that was only really true for a small percentage of the actual tested devices and liquids. I won't even get into the way these studies were done including some researchers making their own e-liquid mixes with higher concentrations of benzoic acid and the complete lack of maintenance done on the devices during the tests. Speaking of lack of Maintenance, the acrolein (and formaldehyde for that matter): In most e-juice, looking at you again JUUL, Acrolein isn't an ingredient and actually forms naturally at high temperature decomposition of glycerol. Normally acrolein burns off with the other ingredients so you won't see it as often as some studies suggest. The most you see this, outside of JUUL because they're awful, is when you're burning the e--liquid either at extremely high temperatures or failing to refill the tank when running out of juice. Going back to the poor maintenance in several studies, some researchers either pushed the machine to run several watts higher, if not double, the recommended amount, failed to refill the tanks with juice when it started to burn, or both. As for Propylene Glycol: You said it yourself in your video, this is a common food additive in food products as well as antifreeze, paint solvents, and smoke machines. To break a few of those scary ones down, its used in antifreeze because it's less harmful (that doesn't mean you can drink it, please don't) and can be used safely in an area where a leak may lead to contact with food and/ or prescription drugs. As for paint solvent, propylene glycol is a stable, colorless, odorless, viscous liquid with a specific gravity of 1.036 that makes it a perfect because its miscible with water and dissolves hydrophobic substances in it's liquid form, essentially the same thing it does in food however I once again ask you do not spoon feed yourself Cloudy Morning blue for breakfast. As for smoke machines, its used because it's odourless, non-irritating, non-toxic, and non-flammable, it's also combusted in a similar way to vaping. Now to finish up my impromptu RUclips essay, vaping is indeed bad for you, I will not argue that but, with the exception of propylene glycol, you can find all of these in cigarettes as well and they pose a much higher risk due to combustion. I didn't go into nicotine because that is a problem that deserves its own essay and either way it's not good, I just felt like I'd be preaching to the choir at this point. The best scenario is people using vaping to transition away from cigarettes before quitting completely, children and young adults should have no purpose having these devices to begin with. Finally, in conclusion, I have way too much time on my hands.
You sound just like my grandfather, who was a smoker until the day/night he died in his sleep at the age of 78 ..... he was not sick, and therefore, he was convinced that smoking was not unhealthy. He totally ignored all those people getting cancer in their lungs, throats, mouths, and anywhere else. Let me put it another way: my grandad decided to participate in a game of russian roulette, but he never understood why all the other participants shot themselves in the head. 😟
@@JeDindk While I am deeply sorry to hear about your grandfather, you're wrong about the way I think. The end of that essay like post states my opinion which is that vaping is indeed bad for you. I then go on to explain how cigarettes are still much worse and how vaping should only logically be used when trying to quit smoking altogether. I also stated kids and young adults shouldn't use it nor should have access to it. What I wrote in the rest was the research I did before making the switch from two packs a day to a vape, I wanted to educate myself instead of relying on the salesman at the shop telling me its better.
@@andrewls2011 No, don't be sorry. Actually, I'm sorry that I didn't add that it's been many years since my grandad died. Furthermore, I think he was very lucky. I would prefer to die just like him one day. 🙂 Actually, I did read all of your comment. But I really disagree that vaping should be any better than cigarettes. I don't think it is. Not one bit. I even think it's more dangerous. I know there have been some cases with young people who have died because of lung damage after vaping just a few years. I think I remember a story about a boy who was in need of a lung transplant after vaping for less than two years. That's the reason ehy I think pepple gamble with their lives from the moment they start vaping - and yes, I do realise the same can be said for cigarettes.I don't think any of us know exactly what is in that stuff and what consequenses it will have. It's after midnight here where I live, so I'm off to bed. Let me finish by congratulating you on quitting those cigarettes. I used to smoke 30 cigarettes a day before I managed to quit myself. I began smoking when I was 17 and then I spent 25 years trying to quit. It's quite ridiculous, when you think about it like that. 😄
@@JeDindk Please look into this, EVALI as they called it, that was hurting and killing some, was caused from illicit THC cartridges off the streets that were laced with Vit E Acetate which is an oil. @@JeDindk im verry sad to see people like you with the wrong information and its not even youre fault. first of all, vaping has been proven to be 95% better then cigs thats just a fact so im sorry but yes vaping is better then cigs, now on the point of the kid that died of "vaping" i dont think you read the article well eneugh sadly, all of these kids that have died from "vaping" all of them had vaped with THC or CBD oil liquid in their vapes, not a single person has died of normal nicotine vaping in 15 years. these kids are putting e-acetate, a kind of oil in their vapes and oil sticks to the lungs ofcourse so therefore they are getting lung failures. pleas dont look at those instances and then say "vaping is killing kids" its not ormal vaping, they are using black market weed oils in there vapes ofc they are going to die.
I really like your content but in this case you are dead wrong. First, you are mistakenly associating EVALI to vaping, that's like comparing smoking cigarettes to smoking crack cocaine. Evali was due to vitamin e acetate in bootleg cartridges with thc oil, nothing to do with normal nicotine vaping. Vaping is 95-98% safer than cigarettes. Nicotine is a nootropic, might have some ill effects but not much according to science (most early studies were biased because of cigarettes). Vaping is legal only above 18/21yo, and yes teens shouldn't vape. If a person switches to vaping from cigarettes it's the best thing they could do other than quit altogether.
What you said is not correct. EVALI is associated to vaping. Not only is it in the full name of EVALI, E-cigarette or Vaping Use-Associated Lung Injury, but The American Lung Association says the name came in response to a growing number of severe lung illness cases related to using e-cigarette and vaping products. The Cleveland Clinic and Yale Medicine also said on their websites that the disease develops as a result of vaping.

Gave up smoking (smoked from 16 to my late 30s) with vaping in 3 days Docs. Time to learn to embrace harm reduction. My vape has exactly what a hospital put me on when I had broken ribs from a fall, PG. The only extra ingredients in mine are VG and nicotine (I vape plain). Nicotine divorced from combustible tobacco is dependency forming but not addictive. After 12 years I have seen nothing but improvements in my health and lung function.

I know the nicotine is the toxic addictive and on 50mg juice here in NZ. Had a cigarette first time for years other day socially and didn't even feel it or get a head spin - so I know my body is strongly immune to high nicotine use from vaping. Great way to give up the cigs, but vaping seems too easy to use anywhere, inside outside etc w/ less health affects like gum or mouth bleeds etc. Ideally like to give up vape but will likely replace w/ some bad eating problems or the likes.... addiction is tricky.
Exactly! WHen vapes are used to stop smoking and only to stop smoking they are fantastic. Harmless? No, but there is no comparison to the harm caused by burning tobacco and for smokers who really want to quit vaping makes that first step much easier. In my own case I noticed major differences within days. My breathing got much easier and I no longer awakened each morning coughing my lungs out. I also found after only a week, that I was able to walk longer distances without running out of breath. The tar associated with burning tobacco is not found when vaping. Also vaping DOES have more than 200 different chemicals which is not good BUT cigarette smoke contains more than 7-thousand different chemicals! (chemicals is not the right word, but you know what I mean.. )

So, I smoked for 5 years and switched over to vaping for the last 7 years, as back then, vaping was nothing but a healthy alternative for smoking. That's how it was advertised and hardly anything was known about it. And I never had any issues with it untill like a month ago. I started noticing that if I was doing warm-ups before sports where I rotated my upper body, my lungs were making weird noises that I literally had no control over. I also noticed that I was a little short of breath. Like I was was missing about 10% of air with every breath. 4 days ago I stopped vaping cold turkey and I already notice much improvement. I feel like I can breathe fully again and funny enough, I seem to be able to sing better again as well. But damn, the nicotine addiction is killing me. But maybe not even as much as the habbit addiction. Simply the addiction of grabbing my vape whenever I got bored or was outside. Please guys, never begin vaping or smoking. You WILL regret it at some point.
Well, that sounds like you are vaping very much. If you just want to satisfy your nicotine addiction for the moment, you can maybe get a small device with 15w or so. Fill it with a pure 18mg/ml nicotine shot or 20mg/mlnicsalt shot if freebase is too scratchy. That way you can have the nicotine but with very little vapour. But be mindful, pure nicotine shots tend to taske a little bit bitter and remember: That's a pure nicotine shot, don't suck it like you are being breast fed or you will get ouchy ouchy tummy and ouchy ouchy headache! Edit: Also, yes, your voice will become smoother without vaping because the vape liquid is hydrophilic, meaning it takes up moisture from everything it touches. It literally makes your vocal cords dry. Stay well hydrated.
Thinking of a vape as just a tool, what medical applications could it have? Pain relief, delivering antibiotics for lung infections, blood pressure? We may be missing a trick here.
You can use it to inhale THC or CBD products, which have claims of health benefits attached to them. I cannot speak about that much, because I don't have much knowlede about these liquids. If you use ultra sonic vapourizers, I can certainly see direct inhalation of certain pain medications or asthma medications. I had to use a device called "Pariboy" as a child, which is basically a vape, just big, clunky, annoying. It was and still is used as a medical inhalator for asthma, flu or colds. So, hopefully, the medical world can find the benefits of these devices, once they leave behind the now dominat use for nicotine deliverance.
Hi I've never personally used one but know several people who do... I believe in the idea that lungs are designed to breath air not smoke... and I can't stand the smell
Wow, I have not followed any sort of vaping news, and I imagined it was not good, but this really helped break it down, thank you! I was a "light-ish" smoker about 10 years ago (maybe half a pack a week) and was determined to stop, so I actually decided to try and stop by vaping.....and I did! I purchased vapes with decreasing amounts of nicotine and was able to quit in about 3 months. I wish I had found a healthier way to quit, but it did work for me. But I think that is because I was dedicated to my goal of quitting. Not sure how common my story is, probably not typical, but it helped me.
I've smoked for 33 years. I've tried quitting 4 times, last time using nicotine patches and tablets. Each time I rapidly gained in weight some 5-6-10 kg and it was quite hard to get rid of them since I used no medication or dedicated diets for that. I started vaping some 4 years ago, after a solid on-line research about the subject. At that time I smoked some 20-25 cigarettes / day. It took me 2-3 months of vaping to figure out what kind of device I should use. During this time I've spend the same amount of money / month, by purchasing devices and e-liquid, as when I was smoking cigarettes. At the beginning I used factory made e-liquids with tobacco flavor and 18 mg / ml nicotine content. After a few months I learned how to prepare my own liquids so I've started to reduce the active ingredients - flavor and nicotine. In 2 months time I was vaping flavorless. After that, I've started gradually reducing the nicotine content, 1-2 mg every 2 months until I've reached to zero. It took me 3 years. This month it's 1 year since I've stopped vaping. I don't deny that I occasionally vape, at parties where a lot of people take part, including smokers and vapers as well, but I only vape disposables (puff bar) with some minty flavor and zero nicotine. This happens, at most, 3-4 times a year. During those 3 years of quitting process, the average sum of money spend monthly on vaping was what I've spend before in 1 week of smoking. Some 6-7 months after I've started vaping, my effort capacity has improved substantially. I breathed much easier when running or hard-working on something and that specific cough of smokers has completely disappeared. Also catching colds during the year reduced significantly and I have no knowledge to ever had COVID. What I consider to have been in my advantage is that I live in Europe, where the vaping market is strictly regulated from all points of view. If you are a DIY vaper, you can buy what you need from authorized shops, proof genuine products, made by authorized manufacturers. From what I know, in the UK, the Public Health Authority subsidizes nation-wide programs to persuade smokers to switch to vaping, in order to help them quit smoking. In one such program, they even offered to smokers, for free, 1 million vaping disposables. Concluding, in my opinion, vaping is a good way to quit smoking without inducing to much stress on yourself.
Smoker for 13 years, switched to vaping a year ago as the information available on HEALTH CANADA says it isn't as bad. The narrative about vaping is completely about kids and teens who do this, rather than people who are trying to quit. It doesn't relate to my situation. Looking to eventually stop vaping but im not sure where to go from here.
Not to mention the whole EVALI scare was about illegal cartridges. If you mix your own stuff it's 95% safer than smoking. That's according to UK agencies. The US is yet to catch up apparently.
They put a stop to vaping but New York State says HELL YES to smoking to pot. It's everywhere! I smell it in our malls, driving on our roads. When did this substance become so safe, isn't it still smoke going into their lungs? I might be old, but smoke is smoke.
I smoked cigarettes for over 25 years and I’m using a vape that is not cheap or off the market I smoked menthol so that’s the “flavor “ I went with. If the government or fda doesn’t come out with something that will genuinely help someone people will continue to smoke and or vape
I was having physical therapy about five years ago and a commercial came on the radio. About 15 seconds of the commercial was about the product and the other 45 seconds told all the side effects and dangers of vaping. The physical therapist said that it sounded worse than smoking cigarettes! Since that time I've heard all sorts of horror stories about all the damage to the lungs! And so much of this damage is to 'much too young' kids! I really don't know what they were thinking when they approved the sell of these things! So many dangerous materials going directly to the lungs! Instead of 14,000 different delightful flavors, they should just have one that tastes awful! 🤢 Unfortunately vaping is a very profitable product! And the greedy companies won't stop until something more profitable comes along! Just because they have a simple warning telling of the danger, they think they can't be sued for their liability. Knowing full well that their product could potentially harm someone to the extent of suffering for years before actually killing them. People need to wise up and stop using this product! Especially at the first sight of anything wrong! Because the manufacturers will never tell you just how bad it can be! This product should be put with the Prime drinks! 🙄 Thanks for sharing another important warning that needs to be heard! 👍
I smoked over 30 years and got diagnosed with COPD. switched to vaping and ten years later my COPD hasnt progressed at all. Explain how thats worse than smoking - even my pulmonogist says its saved me from need oxygen tanks.
I smoked from the age of 11 ,nicking my mothers cigarettes around 1 a week in the 80`s, by the time I was 14 I got older lads to get me hand rolling tobacco, by the time I was in my 30`s I was smoking nearly every 15- 20 minutes, by the time I was 42 I had the on set of C,O,P, believe it or not I was a health and fitness fanatic, from the age 15- early 30`s I just had a nasty smoking addiction, So I switched to vapes ,I no longer have the on set of C,O,P, 9 years on, You mention 5 damaging items in vapes how many thousands bad chemicals in a cigarette and how many hundred carcinogenic chemicals in a cigarette. I choose the better evil out of the two, and How many people in hospital with lung damage is due to putting the wrong stuff in there vapes` vapes were not meant for that stuff to be in them, I will not mention the stuff but you know what I mean. There were never this amount of criticism and news when young kids were smoking cigarettes, I do not in any way promote any thing but air going in the lungs, and why do the government allow these companies produce certain vapes that are aimed at the young youth with high nicotine content in them, Vapes are damaging to the lungs as my breathing has become slightly worse but if I carried on smoking I would be on a oxygen tank by now, Vape is not as addictive as cigarettes, I can go several hours without my vape I could not do that when I was smoking cigarettes, The kids are possibly vaping high nicotine contents in them throw away vapes that`s getting them addicted faster, How about lets get cigarettes taken off the market or ban smoking on the streets first , we know so many deaths are due to smoking cigarettes. Then we can concentrate on campaigning about vapes, If a shop is caught out` selling to under aged kids take the selling of cigarettes and vape product license of them, but no we rather give them a low fine so they can keep making money for the tax man. kids need to be educated correctly on the effects through smoking and vaping, how on a daily bases they suffer without realizing, and show them how they would differ from a none smoker or vapor every 5 years of there life , telling them it will kill them won`t work but educating them on the effects through there life may prevent them from starting it up. Things like lack of stamina due to restricted oxygen in there blood Teeth discoloration and gum disease , smelly breath, Smelly clothes , expensive to continue the habit, growth development , muscle development decrease. reduces elasticity in the skin, reduces healing, more prone to illness, constant lung infections. infections in the lungs don`t go away so easy without at least one or two coarse`s of antibiotics, then scaring can occur due to long time they were infected , The list is endless, that`s how you educate the kids , I like what you guys bring to the table but more info on the bad five items you mentioned would of been great.
The bigger question is how are cigarettes not banned? Sure all nicotine is addictive, but if you gotta choose one, vaping is far safer. And it does not cause cancer or second hand damage. I truly believe, addiction aside, it's as safe as redbull or any other caffeine product.
I smoked for more than 40 years and vapes were the first and only alternative that made it possible for me to stop smoking. I never used the flavored vapes, only nicotine vapes. From the first day I tried one I stopped using cigarettes. I know vaping is not harmless, but the harm caused by vapes is significantly less than what burning tobacco does to the lungs and body. As a way to stop smoking for me at least nothing ever worked before I started using a disposable vape.
“Just say yes ... “ to learning from Talking With Docs. Thank you both for what you do. I look forward to all your posts and productions. You have become part of my health and wellness program. How blessed I am, indeed.
I can definitely attest to vaping causing broken bones !!! Yes , at 55 I stopped smoking tobacco (with a pipe ) and began vaping . I immediately began waking up earlier and having more energy , so I began cycling . One day I fell off my bicycle and broke my femur . QED . BTW I mix my own vaping liquid and one day I decided to use vaping liquid (without the nicotine) as an anti dryness lotion for my dry skin(which I have suffered my whole life ) , it works very well for me .(consult a doctor) . So , as an older , ex smoker , vaping is beneficial . Vaping IS bad for youngsters , but as an alternative to smoking , for older people , not so much ?
I gave up tobacco two months ago, I bought vapes from a shop not from the a black market , they were not the laced. I can breath like I did as a child no more wheezing .mine don’t have femadrhyde or insecticide , mine does have nicotine .they should be banned for people under 25, mine have five ingredients in it. So what will happen now is I will have to go back to smoking with 100 worse ingredients , a decent study was done at a major university and they said that it is 90 per cent less damaging than smoking . Yes though, please keep away from our children teenagers , they also buy the cheap ones with more ingredients in them
@@TalkingWithDocs excellent response! I wish you had made that more clear in the video. Neither is good for you but if you are going to choose between a vape or a smoke vaping is the significantly 'safer' alternative. Not totally safe, but compared to smoking there is no question about which is more harmful.
@@TalkingWithDocs What a crock - you did an entire video sh*tting on them when what you should've done is not lied to your audience and said "if you can't quit cigarettes, vaping is better, but it's best to quit all of it" but you didn't do that. Useless.
Nicotine vapes have been restricted by states here in Australia, only available via prescription from pharmacists. There is an element of black market to that. There has been a crackdown on black market vapes beong sold without the nicotine listed on the packaging. These types of vapes and all others have been banned for good reason🇦🇺🇦🇺.....i enjoy all your vids, keep up the good work
@@TK.000 Bare minimum she is getting nic sick. Nic can mess with your stomach and if your puffing on 50 mg constantly with no tolerance you will get an upset stomach. It's harmless as nicotine itself generally is pretty harmless minus the fact it's incredibly addictive.
An average heavy smoker spends about 200 to 400 dollars a month on cigarettes. Someone who vapes (and I’m not talking about those disposable ones either) spends about an average of 40 to 60 dollars a month. Vaping isn’t that expensive unless you’re buying a new device. The e juice itself can last a person a month to 2 months tops and a coil last to an average 4 to 7 days. Juice cost about 25 dollars and a pack of 5 coils costs about 20 dollars. It’s not that expensive as you’re claiming it to be.
Ok thanks for sharing that there are affordable ways to superheat and ingest toxic chemicals. We think you may have missed the point of the video. It’s bad for you.

I speak from a place of no knowledge, but it sounds just as safe to just try and cut down on cigarettes instead of vaping at all. I'm sure my brothers said that vapes didn't contain some of the 'nasties' in cigarettes, or maybe the addiction potential was less. This begs the question whether the vaping liquids are different from country to country. At least smoking could look (nobody shoot me) sexy or stylish. Vaping looks like you're chugging away on a small steam engine and the cloud that arises looks almost comical.
There is no 'cutting down' on smoking,it's cold turkey all the way. Smoking either is an addiction that is just as hard to quit as other drugs! No, it does not look sexy or stylish. Just smelly and dirty.
@@kimgrey9454 Yep. '..place of no knowledge'. And ' ..don't shoot me..' I would want to be clear here, though. I wouldn't comment on 'addiction' - I have no authority to. I am commenting on smoking, and someone who smokes, even a lot, may not be addicted. It seems like addiction can be in the genes, or not. My parents are from a time of smoking when everyone did it. My Dad smoked 40 a day, and in the end, due to having a family and the cost, just stopped. One of my brothers has smoked virtually all his life - and now hasn't for 7 months. No mood change, nothing. Yes, smelly and dirty, although I didn't mind the smell of a cigar or pipe. I did say it 'could' look sexy or stylish, and those are emotions so what it is to one, won't be, potentially, to someone else. I love black and white films where it was a 'given', and also I think it depends who is doing it and how. I am extremely lucky healthwise, touch wood, and watch the videos for knowledge and to maybe help avoid issues in the future ... and I litter my comments with caveats so I don't offend the people with real issues who are watching the videos desperately for some answers. Like I said ... don't shoot me - I'll have to watch the video on bullet damage. 😁
@@ClareHarrison-qi3bw smoking is a definite addiction. I was blessed with non-smoking parents. It took being unable to breathe to quit finally, I no longer have any desire to smoke. But it took 40 years to do it.
@@kimgrey9454 I don't know what to say really. I don't want to trivialise addiction by even trying to comment on it. I am seeing my parents later and my brother may turn up, so I'll ask their opinions.
I stand by the original comments. My brother's girlfriend said giving up was the hardest thing she has ever done, and yes, must go 'cold turkey'. In the end, didn't enjoy smoking but was addicted. My parents actually enjoyed it but were not addicted and just gave up. I think maybe some have a physiology that lends itself to being more vulnerable to addiction than others. My parents are also a blessing, and their smoking did not detract from this.
My oldest son started smoking around 18, then switched to vaping as a way to quit smoking. He got married, and soon after, his wife convinced him to quit vaping. In my opinion, it does not matter what the mechanism is that creates smoke or vapor, it matters that you breathe it into your lungs. How could inhaling anything other than oxygen or clean air (or medicine, under a doctor's care) be a good idea? The flavored "juices" absolutely made this product attractive to young people, like a candy that you can smoke.
@@TalkingWithDocs I know people who have vaped for over 10 years now to get away from combustible tobacco that actually contains smoke with tar and toxins, were still waiting for that wave of disease to hit us. Vaping is just aerosolized water based food grade compounds that we all consume on a daily basis. Found in all almost all food and drink, cosmetics, etc.
I kind of get your point, but inhaling literal exhaust fumes is much much safer than inhaling water vapour and PG/VG. I mean you live in a polluted city and it's no different than smoking... by that logic vaping is still safer than living in a polluted city.
I've been a pack a day smoker for five years. I've had throath pain every morning I woke up from smoking. Did a little bit of research (thanks NHS) and decided to switch. I started with 20 mg freebase and I'm currently alternating between 3 and 6 mg. The throat pain was gone after the first week. I feel 10 times better then when I was smoking. I mean it's not safe and I'm going to quit vaping too in the long run but I believe a dodged a bullet with switching to vaping.
Great to hear @realdeal9643! The hard science about the benefits of smokers to switch to vaping is out there and the risks are NOTHING like what's presented as "facts" in this very misleading video sadly.
I watched my dad die of lung cancer. Thing is, he had stopped smoking over 20 years earlier. I wonder (sadly) what health issues these vape users will face in 10-20 years.
vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, flavoring, and nicotine. that's whats in the eliquid that is used for vaping. there is no combustion. there's one form that we KNOW for a fact kills
@@tjmendiola671 Do you mind me respectfully asking you how old you are? From what I have read, the majority of vapers are in their 20's. This means your body is literally at its peak, biologically speaking. In your 40's 50's, and 60's, however, The consequences will be much more apparent, as your body is more feeble and weak to fight off the damage it causes. don't fall for the same trick that our grandparents fell for, I don't wanna see you die buddy...
Vaping in studies has shown it is plenty more healthy than cigarettes. It's when you buy from shady vendors with ingredients that should not be there. Smoked since 2007, vaped from 2019 and I havnt looked back since, no more chest infections, throat issues, lack of taste/smell, I havnt felt out of breath, I havnt felt this great in those areas since before I smoked at 16
@@optchurch1402 Vaping might be less dangerous than cigarettes, but what I'm saying is it's probably more dangerous than these companies are leading on. In the 1930's and 40's, smokers used the same arguments to justify their smoking. There were some studies that warned people, but for the most part, it took until the 70's and 80's for the government to start pushing aggressive anti-smoking campaigns. It took so long for the general consensus to change, because smokers loved their cigarettes, and the smoking industry loved the business they received. It took until the first cases of people dropping dead from throat and lung cancers to kickstart the anti-smoking movement. So in short everyone was in denial for multiple decades of the poison they were consuming. The scary part of this story is if we do see history repeat itself (as it often has), Our generation of people will be the ones dropping dead of some insidious disease in a few decades. I'm not just tryna be a hater man, I loved my vape when I was vaping. but it's not worth it.
Absolutely agree... I vaped years ago and it caused my hands to have symptoms that resembled arthritis. When the doctor told me the cause I threw that thing in his garbage can and never thought about it again. Fortunately a couple of weeks later the pain and stiffness in my hands went away and never returned.
I've heard that Nicotine is not the addictive substance in cigarettes. When they were 1st introduced nobody had appeal to continue doing it. They had to reach out to scientists to ask what they could do to make their products addictive. This is when they introduced chemicals
@@TalkingWithDocshello doctor I’m 25 years old and I go to gym I quit vaping for 3 months and I felt better but I went back to it … I’m trying to quit it forever
Vaping is a wonderful harm reduction tool from smoking. Everyone needs to get more educated on it. The chemicals mentioned are not in normal vape juice. The worst is chosen to discuss for fear reasons. You lost me at the news says......
There's two things that come to mind, given that you only use safe and official products from legal sources: Adverse effects from Propylene glycol and/or flavouring. Try to use 100% pure vegetable glycerine and nicotine salts or freebase/salt mixture without any falvouring. Important note: NicSalts are generally less noticable and take longer to go into effect in the body, but they don't give that scratchy feeling in the throat and lungs. Therefore you might want to add more nicsalts than you typically do with freebase nicotine. I generally use 4-5mg/ml 50/50 mix of freebase and salts.
@@stilles342 bro this person is obviously looking for some encouragement not somebody to tell them to switch to nic salts 😂 U got this! It is a physical addiction but the mind is a powerful thing!
Switch to vaping and reduce very gradually. All your problems will go away, you'll eventually quit, without even realizing it. Just be extremely strict with the healthy lifestyle you want to achieve and stick to it. Like seriously give it a go... Speaking from personal experience here.
Great video. I'd be interested to see your thoughts on nicotine gum, patches or losenges - primarily for non-smokers who are trying to boost concentration for work/school. Especially considering the nicotine pouches have exploded in popularity the last few years, and even some health experts like Peter Attia and Andrew Huberman seem to endorse them (provided they are taken responsibly). My understanding is that nicotine may have a benefit for people with IBD as well.
the more they market that it's "bad" the more people would indulge in it. Just like nike's air jordan shoes, it was banned then bamm! one of the best shoes sold ever in the air jordan's category
My Dear Docs; You mentioned 'highly addictive'. Is there a particular addicting agent besides the nicotine? Thank you. By the way, Robbing Peter to Pay Paul will always have Paul's full support.

Vaping is significantly less harmful than smoking. It is not 100% safe, but compared to smoking tobacco it is light years safer! Ideally you want to stop both, but if you are choosing between vaping and smoking go with vaping. You will still cause some damage to your lungs but according to British research the damage from vaping is 95% less than the damage from smoking. Choosing tobacco over vaping is a very poor choice.
Thanks for another great video - love and appreciate you guys so much - I have learned so much from you - really appreciate the time you take to do these!!!!!
I like your series; however, this topic always hits a nerve. I agree many studies show nicotine's negative effects on younger people. Anyone who is not smoking should never try vaping. I am not trying to beat you down, but I think you could have researched this topic more. From where I sit, this topic is not as settled as many people think. First, I won’t say vaping is good for anyone’s health. However, I quit smoking through vaping about 13 years ago and never looked back. I am now in my 60’s and still enjoy vaping. The flavors people accused of were only made to market to kids? I like Peaches and Cream, Blue Slushy, and Coco-berry Cream, to name a few. I have never had an issue. One benefit for me is as I am a T2 diabetic, vaping helps me to reduce cravings for foods I cannot eat - sugar-free. There are many misconceptions about vaping, and I saw some in this video. Propylene Glycol (PG) is used in many products, including foods (CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 (fda.gov); Propylene Glycol | ToxFAQs™ | ATSDR (cdc.gov)). Using the “it is an ingredient in anti-freeze” is ridiculous. The freezing point of water is depressed when mixed with propylene glycol, which is why it is used in antifreeze. In debate, this is called an illogical fallacy. Evali is commonly the result of THC vape liquid which contains vitamin E (E-cigarette or Vaping Use-Associated Lung Injury (EVALI) | American Lung Association and Outbreak of Lung Injury Associated with the Use of E-Cigarette, or Vaping, Products | Electronic Cigarettes | Smoking & Tobacco Use | CDC). Some people reported getting these off the black market or dark web since they are mostly illegal. There have been reports of hazardous chemicals in e-cigarettes. In some cases, this resulted from misusing the produce, such as overheating it to the point where it could not be inhaled. The mitigation of this is to only purchase reputable products. On the other hand, there is a legitimate argument in favor of the harm reduction of vaping: (E-cigarettes declared 95% less harmful than tobacco by UK health body - The Lancet Respiratory Medicine). One last thought, since I started vaping, there are some days when I don’t vape and never notice. When I smoked, I needed a cigarette first thing in the morning. There has been a question raised about the addictiveness of nicotine. As I recall, there are four or five alkaloids in nicotine. Some people who switched to vaping still had withdrawal symptoms, and they were always pointed to whole tobacco extraction products containing all the alkaloids. Therefore, it was conjectured that the addiction was not just the nicotine alkaloid but some combination of the alkaloids (addition of five minor tobacco alkaloids increases nicotine-induced hyperactivity, sensitization and intravenous self-administration in rats | International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology | Oxford Academic (oup.com). Hopefully, this is food for consideration! I created this response in MS Word; my apologies that the links to my sources were removed.
I have wicked bad heart disease. 6 stents at age 35, i'm 53 next month. I applied for a medical cannabis grow license from a Dr and i told them i had heart disease and that i eat cannabis and vape it, but i do not combust it. She gave me the thumbs up and said GOOD. So after filling out a Health Canada questionaire the Dr looked it over and asked me questions and determined it was something that could benefit me. And since i was growing it anyway, and i just wanted to do it legally, i was prescribed a 5 gram per day medical cannabis grow license which allows me 25 plants. I was given a 6 month Permit to try it out and see if it's effective and works for me, and if so the license would be re-issued but for a year, and can be renewed annually with a Dr. Prescription.
This has nothing to do with vaping but I wondered if you’d do a video on the benefits of strength training for elders. I’m 76 in a week and compete in Olympic weightlifting. I just came back from the Canadian Masters Championship and there were exactly 3 of us over 75. The typical reaction is that once you get old it’s impossible to add muscle mass and explosive lifts like the snatch and the clean and jerk are inherently dangerous. Neither is true. You can get stronger, add bone density, improve balance, restore those twitch muscles so seldom used by elders, while subtracting inches from your waist and adding them to your chest and shoulders. I say to my sedentary friends that if we were both to trip over the curb, I’m more likely to recover my balance while my friend is more likely to fall and break a hip. So I think we should all be lifting a barbell. What do you think?
Former smoker here. After quitting I realized that I was doing exactly what fireman try to avoid- inhaling toxic smoke. Why would anyone voluntarily inhale burning particles by smoking? Now along comes vaping, which is the fireman's equivalent of running into a CHEMICAL PLANT FIRE without a protective mask! Vaping is nasty. If you see someone vaping that you know, ask them how the job at the CHEMICAL PLANT is working out.
it seems harmless and less toxic than regular cirgarrets, at least to help smokers to quit. There are vapes that are nicotine FREE, so then it won't be so adictive and you can stop any time you want. not all vapes have bencine and toxic quimicals, there are some very harmless vapes outthere.
Started vaping about 10 years ago when I was 17, have stopped over the years and got back on, Honestly Haven't had any health issues yet, I wasnt an active smoker back then, but yeah I wouldnt recommend anyone to jump into it if you arent smoking, just save your money and buy some protein powder with it instead
nicotine patches work well for quitting smoking, whilst wearing them you wont feel the urge to smoke and if by chance you try to smoke while wearing one it will essentially cause an overdose of nicotine and make you sick so then you really really really wont want to smoke
An outbreak of e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury (EVALI) started in 2019 among users of illegal, unregulated cannabis vaping products, almost exclusively in the United States. "Vitamin E acetate is strongly linked to the EVALI outbreak.tell me if this is not true,i'll wait!!!!!!!!!!! also uk have vape shops in hospitals....need to do research before you make a video........
And let's not forget that it "started" in 2019 but vaping has been in the US, in a big way, in the stores, since 2006-7. So, 12 years it took for them to start offing people? Riiiight.
Do some research make an informed decision for yourself. Nobody said vaping is safe.. its harm reduction. If you can use it to quit then use it. Or you can by the exact same thing called the nicotine inhaler at the drug store.. that the "doctors" say is a safe effective tool made by big pharma. Same thing! Either or of how you choose to quit is better then puffing a pack or 2 a day. Especially if you have exhausted all other options like the patch gums etc with failed attempts. No matter how you look at it nothing in your lungs other then air is good for you. Best of luck to you.
If you bought a vape to quit smoking, that's definitely a positive step! Now just gradually decrease your nicotine strength, and before you know it you'll be at 0 like a walk in the park! And voila, you've quit very easily. However, if you're not a vaper or smoker, then yes starting is stupid. But give how you're trying to quit, going from literal cancer to steam with flavours and nicotine (does not cause cancer) is a very very healthy choice. Just stop cigarettes entirely and strictly stick to your vape. Then start a regime of reduction. You'll notice positive changes within a week! Speaking from experience here. Take care!
@@MultiSciGeek exactly! THIS is how to kick the nicotine habit forever. Vaping makes it MUCH easier because you can gradually reduce nicotine intake while still feeling like you are smoking.
"trying to quit" lol… all the people i've seen vaping are doing it for the nicotine hit and not for trying to quit or even for the marijuana hit. nicotine concentration can be higher in vaping than cigarettes. at least long-term impacts of smoking are known. long-term impacts of vaping are unknown
I always think of what the money spent on smoking could pay for... car payment etc... Why waste hard earned money by putting it up in smoke??? It is like paying for a storage unit at $100 a month, we all know they are more now, say we do it for 5 years. That is $6,000 dollars and then everything is mostly wrecked. Smoking is like that. In the end the long term effects in old age are horrific. One older fellow, a smoker I knew, lost his non smoking wife, to lung cancer, just as he was about to retire, then he deveioped congestive heart failure, even though he had quit smoking, by time he died at 89, he had lost both legs, in a wheel chair, then he died of sepis. So heart breaking, they were such beautiful people. Unable to enjoy together, the breath taking view that could be seen off their deck. A view they had worked a life time for, I captured in one of my paintings... this is all I have left... Truly very sad 😢 If only we would think smart and not do it!!!
I think the vapes should not give you so much vapor in those hits, im trying it now as an alternative to cigarettes and to be honest, i don't know if soot is better than this, this one gives me not that much like I've had from a friend to try and that thing made me gag, so much vapor, this ones not even 10% of that
Possible topic for a future video: I just read how older adults should avoid the long term use of “anticholinergic” medications which have been shown in some studies to affect memory. Two of the common ones I had been using as a nightly sleep aid are Benadryl and Nyquil type meds. From what I can tell melatonin is not an anticholinergic med, at least it wasn’t shown on the list. Sleep is such an important part of the overall equation, and for those of us over 50 sleep can be elusive causing us to reach for sleep aids that may be negatively impacting our memory. Have you heard anything about these studies that you could share with us in an upcoming video?
As a long time Dipper from my baseball days, i hate inhaling anything but i did switch to a vape and only puffed a very little at a time barely inhaling anything and it helped me get over my dip craving. I dipped after certain things like meals, car rides it was something to do, and because i wasnt a fan of vaping it made me get over those habits. Im now dip free and vape free, it worked for me but only because i dont like vaping in general lol.
Thanks for the video. I know friends who quit smoking and chewed nicotine gum (for years). I'm sure it's not ideal but is nicotine in gum form carcinogenic?
The nicotine in vaping is the same pharmaceutical grade nicotine found in every pharmaceutical nicotine replacement quit smoking therapy product. Neither are carcinogenic. isn't it interesting that these quacks aren't warning people about using big pharma nicotine products? Wake up.
i smoked my whole life but couldn’t stand the smell of the stinky clothes and car. i started vaping but i kept getting a cold. after getting sick like 5 times im done with everything
some of the information in this video is wrong. mainly when it comes to EVALI and the specific chemicals in which you inhale. EVALI only comes from weed cigarettes, like carts and dab pens, same with those other chemicals you guys mentioned. while the information is not **wrong** persay, its misleading because it only applies to weed vapes and not the traditional nicotine vape.
I smoked cigarettes for 27 years and quit. Started vaping and continued it for 3 years and finally after thirty years of smoking I said Goodbye to both cigarettes and vaping. Now, I am not a smoker.
You can be really proud of yourself
Well done. Absolutely amazing achievement.
welp, congrats!

Thank you for debunking this propaganda.
this is my experience with the technology.

Ingredients in vape e-liquid:
1) vegetable glycerin - typically made from soybean, coconut or palm oils.
2) propylene glycol - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is "generally recognized as safe" for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products

Ingredients in cigarettes:
1) Acetone - found in nail polish remover
2) Acetic acid - an ingredient in hair dye
3) Ammonia - a common household cleaner
4) Arsenic - used in rat poison
5) Benzene - found in rubber cement and gasoline
6) Butane - used in lighterfluid

Hi
I vaped for the first time two weeks ago.
I didnt vape heavily
Has anyone had similar experiences ? And how to cure this problem ?
@@TalkingWithDocs It's shown to be 98% safer. Not sure if you are trying to convince them or yourself
See what you just said ..your health improved, cost less and then giving up..
They just don’t want to know the REAL Story..
Thank you for your insightful comment! I’ve been a cigarette smoker for 30 years and just bought my first pack of stigs.
Actually, I did read all of your comment.

Nicotine isn't bad, it's just addictive it's not the cause of cancer it's the chemicals in cigarettes.
Yes agree
This is 100% correct. Nicotine is not what causes lung cancer...it''s all the other garbage that comes from burning tobacco.
I had asthema for 16 years. After getting recovered I started smoking for 26 years and now I have shifted to vape. Its good bro. I feel great

You're absolutely right tho
Unfortunately vaping is a very profitable product!
Thanks for sharing another important warning that needs to be heard! 👍
I smoked over 30 years and got diagnosed with COPD. switched to vaping and ten years later my COPD hasnt progressed at all. Explain how thats worse than smoking - even my pulmonogist says its saved me from need oxygen tanks.

95% less harmful, there fixed it
I smoked from the age of 11 ,nicking my mothers cigarettes around 1 a week in the 80`s,
by the time I was 14 I got older lads to get me hand rolling tobacco,
by the time I was in my 30`s I was smoking nearly every 15- 20 minutes,
by the time I was 42 I had the on set of C,O,P, believe it or not I was a health and fitness fanatic, from the age 15- early 30`s I just had a nasty smoking addiction,
So I switched to vapes ,I no longer have the on set of C,O,P, 9 years on,
You mention 5 damaging items in vapes how many thousands bad chemicals in a cigarette and how many hundred carcinogenic chemicals in a cigarette.
I choose the better evil out of the two, and How many people in hospital with lung damage is due to putting the wrong stuff in there vapes` vapes were not meant for that stuff to be in them, I will not mention the stuff but you know what I mean.
There were never this amount of criticism and news when young kids were smoking cigarettes,
I do not in any way promote any thing but air going in the lungs, and why do the government allow these companies produce certain vapes that are aimed at the young youth with high nicotine content in them,
Vapes are damaging to the lungs as my breathing has become slightly worse but if I carried on smoking I would be on a oxygen tank by now,
Vape is not as addictive as cigarettes, I can go several hours without my vape I could not do that when I was smoking cigarettes,
The kids are possibly vaping high nicotine contents in them throw away vapes that`s getting them addicted faster,
How about lets get cigarettes taken off the market or ban smoking on the streets first , we know so many deaths are due to smoking cigarettes.
Then we can concentrate on campaigning about vapes,
If a shop is caught out` selling to under aged kids take the selling of cigarettes and vape product license of them, but no we rather give them a low fine so they can keep making money for the tax man.
kids need to be educated correctly on the effects through smoking and vaping, how on a daily bases they suffer without realizing, and show them how they would differ from a none smoker or vapor every 5 years of there life , telling them it will kill them won`t work but educating them on the effects through there life may prevent them from starting it up.
Things like lack of stamina due to restricted oxygen in there blood
Teeth discoloration and gum disease , smelly breath,
Smelly clothes , expensive to continue the habit, growth development , muscle development decrease. reduces elasticity in the skin, reduces healing, more prone to illness, constant lung infections. infections in the lungs don`t go away so easy without at least one or two coarse`s of antibiotics, then scaring can occur due to long time they were infected ,
The list is endless, that`s how you educate the kids ,
I like what you guys bring to the table but more info on the bad five items you mentioned would of been great.
Yes though, please keep away from our children teenagers , they also buy the cheap ones with more ingredients in them
Better than smoking. Best to not do either if you can. Agreed
@@TalkingWithDocs excellent response! I wish you had made that more clear in the video. Nicotine vapes have been restricted by states here in Australia, only available via prescription from pharmacists. There is an element of black market to that. Great Video. Personal responsibility is the key to living a healthy life!
And ' ..don't shoot me..'
I would want to be clear here, though.
Yea it's toxic and the wave of disease that is going to show up is terrifying. Glad your son quit

Been vaping for 5 years. Chest started to hurt. Trying my best to quit but it’s damn near impossible especially when your life already is stressful

I vape and have for 12 yrs. Used to smoke. Use smallest nicotine available. I like the flavors
Will you continue now that you have this information?
@@Joy21090 probably. Both my drs know I vape and have never said anything about except that it’s better than cigarettes
it seems harmless and less toxic than regular cirgarrets, at least to help smokers to quit.
Riiiight.
Why hasn't Google taken this down? There's so much garbage in this video.
I recently bought a vape. My daughter said Mom! NO! Now I’m afraid to use!! HELP! I CANT QUIT SMOKING! ❤️🇨🇦
It's tricky for sure. Talk to your doctor about other options. There are a few but it is very difficult. Best of luck
@@TalkingWithDocs Vaping works far better than anything else!
Take care!
50 years a smoker, now a hip replacement scared into giving up smoking ….vape is helping .what to do cigarettes or vape? I’m addict😰
Vape but gradually decrease your nicotine level to 0. Then quit completely.
You can get lower mg of nicotine. I went from 24 mg to 3 mg in a matter of a couple years.
@@JustSheilz thanks for the interesting perspective. It's always good to hear from other views
Hi Drs thank you so much for this excellent topic, make everyone aware of the dangers to the health 😊
I have stage 4 lung cancer. Don’t VAPE, Don’t SMOKE. Take the money and go on an amazing vacation. ENJOY YOUR LIFE!
Truly very sad 😢
If only we would think smart and not do it!!!
Sending this to my son
I'm sure that will go down well lol.
Im putting this thing in the trash can. Not even going to get started.
Good for you!
it was very easy to quit cigarettes but so tough to quit vaping
I would like to know the answer to that too.
Wake up.
Thanks Docs - great info!
i smoked my whole life but couldn’t stand the smell of the stinky clothes and car. i started vaping but i kept getting a cold. after getting sick like 5 times im done with everything
some of the information in this video is wrong. mainly when it comes to EVALI and the specific chemicals in which you inhale. EVALI only comes from weed cigarettes, like carts and dab pens, same with those other chemicals you guys mentioned. while the information is not **wrong** persay, its misleading because it only applies to weed vapes and not the traditional nicotine vape.
