I was in the exact same boat as you. I've been telling myself I'd quit for at least 2 years now, off and on. I finally made a concerted effort 2 weeks ago and it was surprisingly easy. I figured I would have bad withdrawals considering the amount of nicotine I was taking in, but I only suffered from cravings. After about 3 days, it's been a breeze. 35 day’s nicotine free! Started smoking cigs in 2015, and began vaping in 2021. I would vape pretty heavily. I quit cold turkey 35 days ago. I was getting shortness of breath, chest discomfort, and wheezing when laying down. Gave my vape to my wife to throw away and told her I’m done with these damn things. My wheezing has gotten 10x better, and I feel great. First few days was rough, I kept reaching for a vape in my car. Almost like it was muscle memory. After about 2 weeks, it was cake. My brother and friends can vape around me all day and I don’t care to smoke or anything. Every now and then I’ll get a little bit of chest discomfort, I think it’s my lungs still healing from all the chemicals and crap. Keep going guys, you got this!

I’ve been vaping for 10 years, this is the 3rd time I’ve quit. It’s day 2. Praying to the Lord gives you all the strength you need to get through the withdrawals, they weren’t even as bad this time and I’m only on day 2. My friend said that she prayed to the lord and he took away her desire completely, no withdrawals whatsoever. With God all things are possible, just ask him and he will give you strength.
Side note, my husband is still vaping and I’m around it 24/7. 95 percent of quitting is mindset and prayer, you can do all things through Christ even when it feels impossible

I'm in the process of quitting vaping the 5% stuff about every 15 minutes. I had it BAD. I tried cold turkey but I honestly got physically ill and experienced some of the most soul crushing depression I've ever known. I opted for the tapering off approach instead and in the space of one week, I have cut my nicotine usage by about 95%. It has NOT been easy, like a gnawing hunger that comes over me at random times. I anticipate being nic free by next week. Go me! I've never been prouder of anything in my entire life.

I can now go all day with none. Still get a mild craving now and then but I'm so damned sick of having the monkey on my back. I'm done. Former vaper for 2 years. Quit vaping around 2 months ago after watching this channel and I honestly lost track of exactly how many days its been! I can't be more happy, to remove those chains, break free from that habit. I feel so much positive change in myself in all aspects of my life. I can't thank this channel enough for giving me that push and right mindset to conquer this obstacle. Sure I get a craving here and there, but each day that passes, the cravings go away quicker and come less often.
When the going gets tough, our mindset is truly is what is gonna allow us to conquer any obstacle in our path. This goes with nicotine addiction and all challenges of life we go through. All our journeys will be tough, but I assure you all, it will all be worth it for the longevity of our lives! I believe in you all! “One moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory.” -Louis Zamperini

I'm on day 8 after picking up a vaping habit 4 years ago. I chose to vape to help me quit dip after a stressful deployment. I've been using nicotine off and on for 18 years. I realized that there is no end game for nicotine, it doesn't work towards anything long-term. I've been mentally cataloging the withdrawal day to day. Day 1-3 was surprisingly simple, I think day 4-7 was the hardest. I even partied pretty hard with friends and was able to not relapse after a complete night of drinking. I'm excited for the 3 month mark.

If you’re trying to quit and experiencing a strong craving thinking to yourself, “What’s one more puff gonna hurt.” WAIT 5 minutes! Cravings typically last 5 minutes, or less. So before you take that drag challenge yourself to simply wait 5 minutes. More often than not, you will become distracted with something else and forget about the craving all together. It’s no longer all-encompassing and becomes more manageable. Don’t believe me? Try it. It surprised me on how quickly you can overcome something that, in the moment, felt so overwhelming.

  • @pineapplewarriorz

Started at 11, stopped at 22. 27 now and couldn’t be more happy. One of the hardest things I’ve done but I’m happy now that it’s done, and that’s what you have to remember is that there is an end point, you WILL feel better after feeling bad now as that is the sacrifice. CBD no nic cigarettes and CBD vapes helped a ton, cold turkey on nic otherwise.
My advise would be Stop counting the days, if you decide in your mind to quit in full confidence, you quit period. Instead of counting, it is managing, until it is over, and it WILL be over. It always passes with time.

Bit of advice from me, i switched from smoking to vaping 1 year ago, chose a high MG vape for a month or 2, then reduce and reduce the amount of nicotine while still vaping at all normal times, then eventually no nic for about a month then just stopped. Easiest way to taper off. Before i tried this id tried cold turkey many times and failed with all these horrible withdrawals. But do it the way i just said and its actually quite easy and you dont get the withdrawals.

So fàr minor symptoms has manifested like in the past 3 days like lightheadidness, lot of sweating, insomnia, slight cough and I felt like disoriented for a while on the 2nd day. Your videos had helped me a lot on this journey, at least I prepared myself for the possible symptoms. Thanks and Godbless.

You just made me realize this about dopamine:
If I have anxiety about an exam, my mind doesn't just crave dopamine, it craves dopamine from me studying and feeling good about the test. But instead, if I feed it nicotine, my mind receives the dopamine it's looking for but the problem is still there, I just think it's ok now. Until I realize I'm not at all ready for that test. So I've avoided studying because I didn't think I needed to, and now I have less time to study and an even bigger anxiety is coming.

The benefit in using patches is that it addresses the second obstacle in quiting: the habitual, physical motions of smoking (i.e., the reaching for, the sucking of...) BEFORE you quit. BOTH aspects of quiting must be overcome. It doesn't really matter which aspect you address first, unless, of course, you know which aspect is the most difficult for you.

Not that I’m completely out of the addiction, but how I stopped was… I started getting a deep wheezing and was completely out of breathe going a few steps, so I stopped right then and there, I told myself it was from vaping.Day 1-3:very irritable. Days3-7;shaky, urge to vape, head fog, coughing up huge amounts of phlegm. Days 7-14 the urge went away, heart racing, coughing. The best thing that has gotten me through it is “it’s going to be tough but just get through the hardest times and it will all go away.” And I believe that’s true. I just kind of convinced myself that I hated it and that is what helped me move along this far.

I just started vaping a couple weeks ago and something just feels “off”. I don’t know if it’s my energy being lower, having more headaches, but I should probably quit asap.

I was discharged from the ER last night with bronchitis for the third time this year. I threw my vape out of the window otw home. Enough was enough. I'm using gum today though.

I'm on day 3. Had the urge to just say F it and take a hit. Conquered that urge and didn't look back. I'm going strong boys!
