I'm smoking free day 14......it's very difficult...I'm worried about gaining weight......I can't fail....😢
I’ve been smoking for 48 years. My husband was diagnosed with throat cancer last week. I quit! Please remember me in your prayers. I’m going through withdrawal now and it’s awful.Thank you for the video!

🙏
I hope you stuck to it 🙏
I love how you say we fell in love with nicotine, because it really does feel like love and trying to quit feels like heartbreak
47 years as a smoker, 8 days as a non-smoker!!! It’s about time!!! Thanks Dr Frank for knowledge and guidance!!!!!🎉
You can do it I'm nearly 3 weeks smoke free
How's it going?
Im just on 7 days on quitting smoking. I feel so weak until now. And i fell dizzy. Is that normal? Thanks
@@ericlim8150Are you sleeping and drink water . Most of all consult a doctor.
Thank you, Dr. Frank. I'm now at day 336 of my cold turkey nicotine quit. I'm also on day 336 of zero alcohol. I'm now day 90 of also quitting sugars, carbs, bread, gluten, seed oils, and processed foods. 45 pound weight loss. The power of my own mindset is incredible. This is what I learned from you and your methodology. I am very grateful to you.
Help me please.
Hey. I just want to say that it is really well done. Huge respect! I'm on day 6 of quitting tobacco. It's not so hard any longer. Today was the first day I left my house without feeling something was missing in my pocket. It's all mindset. But damn. You quit everything in one go. Next level man
@@ArthurGoodness Cheers mate. I tackled the smoking and alcohol first and then afterwards took on my other addictions. Day 6 is a good start. Make sure you understand your WHY. Cultivate your mindset. Watch videos and read every day. Your battle has only just started but it will be worth it.
Wow this is so awesome congratulations 🎉🙌🏽
Wow ❤❤❤
My father smoked hos whole life. Got lung cancer. Quit when ill. Recovered. He is 82. Wow.
As of today I am 250 days sober from nicotine. Never going back! It takes time but after a few months I feel back to baseline and it is worth it! Best of luck to everyone out there giving it their all 🙏
How long until you stopped getting cravings ?
I started smoking cigarettes since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. This is something that really need to be use globally to help people with related health challenges.
Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.
Yes sure of Dr.benfungi
Yes very sure of Dr.benfungi. I'm really happy for you that your friend decided to help you...I hear about alot of family members or so called friends shutting an addict out of their life, which since most addicts do it to mask emotions to me is the worse thing someone can do to an addict.
How do I reach out to him? Is he on insta
I found out I had cancer in 2004 (had surgery & chemo), but my oncologist said he will only treat me if I quit smoking immediately. I quit smoking (technically), but I got addicted to nicotine lozenges. I've been spending $200 a month on lozenges every month for 20 years. I was completely overwhelmed by quitting smoking plus the cancer treatment and it is only now that I've become dedicated to stop all nicotine. I was finally able to taper down to 12 of the Habitrol 1mg a day and I made a daily schedule for 30 days to finally get down to 0. As of today, I'm on only 6 of the Habitrol 1mg a day but I can really feel the withdrawal. I have the flu type symptoms, brain fog, and feel up and down emotionally. But by 5/11, I will be free of it. This video was really encouraging and it helps to try and have that mindset that the withdrawals are actually a positive thing because your body is cleaning house. Good luck to everyone on their quitting! Don't be like me and waste thousands of dollars for years on lozenges lol. :)
Try not to be so hard on yourself. Give yourself credit for the good you are doing! Luck to you!
Quitting today! Wish me luck
Goodluck! I quit everyday 😂
Did you quit
I’m on day 3 of my quit
Edit: it’s day 19 and I honestly never think about vaping occasionally I’ll think about it but it’s easy to suppress
I wish you all the success, not luck. I know you are going to make it!
Giving up nicotine drug addition, slavery, and monster chemicals that want to kill you for freedom and a healthy life!!! Every lil withdrawal pang is a celebration that you are killing the nicotine neurons in your brain. Easy!!!! Enjoy becoming a non smoker!!!! I am too!!!
You can do it
I am non smoker for about 5 days now, wish me luck so I never smoke again
Day 4 right here! We got this!!!!
We can quit ❤
Guys I was good for 3 months but I came back to that shit
Currently on day 2 of not vaping for the first time in about 9 years. Definitely feeling that brain fog. Everything outside also seems way too bright feel like I’m in a dream almost it’s so weird
i dealt with the same exact thing my man, i’ve been almost 2 months sober now and let me tell ya that my life has completely changed for the better. those first 2 weeks were a pain in the ass but don’t get discouraged. you got this :) and you will thank yourself once you get past that first week. don’t give up hope! i’m rooting for you!

I'm about to have a laser procedure to stop smoking. I've been smoking a pack a day for 10 years, but now that I'm working from home it got worse, and I'm smoking a pack and a half a day. Im really scared to do it, but I've been feeling like my life revolves around when and where I'm having a cigarette. This tips are really useful, and let's hope this is the last time I try to quit❤
trying to quit smoking, drinking, vaping, porn, and caffeine addiction, ready to take my life back. Great Video doc.
Im on day two of not smoking any cigs. So far im going cold turkey. Its been pretty difficult at certain times but im so proud of myself for getting this far. Cant wait to be feeling better while living a nicotine free life. Thanks for these videos! So helpful and i learnt alot. Mindset is so important!!

Also on day two and it's tough but I'm determined gotta quit being a slave!
Day 4 here! And counting (though hopefully I won't be counting days, as it will just be second nature to not be a smoker!). They say day 3 is the toughest. I think yesterday was vad but I got through it. It's only a couple days. I have been trying to meditate so j don't freak out on my coworkers. It's sort of been working! Lol
I vaped for about 3 years, I quit for 3 weeks and unfortunately had a relapse.
Getting past 3-4 days is a huge accomplishment but also you need to be wary of how your mind can play tricks on you even after those 3/4 days.
Can you elaborate, what kind of tricks? have you managed to stay away from nicotine?
@@kanyesouth4256bro your mind will go through lengths to get you to relapse. It will say anything to get that hit. I'm telling you. Nicotine is the enemy.
Currently on day 6 of no nicotine, day 3-4 was def the roughest physically for me but I’ve been feeling soooo much better each day
Hope you still stuck to it. I'm on day 6 of quitting zyn myself. I would have 1 pack of 6mg per day. (80mg nic a day). Currently, I have minor withdrawal symptoms but overall feel great!
I'm on day 5 cold turkey....I'm awake at 4am!!!! Frustrating ah....sweating in bed.....im going to buy a lifting bench!
What vitamins will help with healing...The Bs?
I lost 20 lbs...prior to quitting!! I can't gain any!!!! I still have 15 more lbs to go...
@colette today is my 2nd full day and man, do I completely understand what youre going through. I was thinking of just drinking some nyquil at night
I’ve heard about the hormonal effects of nicotine on the brain a week ago. As an engineering student i actually got mad at myself for not being curious and not looking it up before. I felt miserable for a long time, had little motivation left for anything, popped a cig every couple hours thinking it eased my mind for a short burst. Gave up exercising, failed couple classes, struggled to meet deadlines… Then i realized, even if there was a chance smoking wasn’t the main reason, it did anything but helping. Today was the 6th day, went for a walk-run for a couple of hours, idk it felt like i enjoyed it way more than i did for a while.
9/29/2023 THROWING AWAY MY VAPE! 🙌🏻 Freedom, here I come!
Still vape-free?
I’m now 12 hours without using a vape. I’m not a vape smoker. I’m not a smoker. Thank you for this video and being down to earth with your teachings 👏🙏❤️😁
I’m right there with you on this one. Same here.
Best quit smoking video I have ever seen! Makes so much sense that it almost makes quitting easy. I quit because of this video by the way.
Running, just run as long as you can 🏃🏻♀️
I also just think that I’m going to lose all of this progress to feel a buzz for 10 seconds and then feel terrible about myself. I remind myself that it actually makes me feel sick not good. Light headed, stomach pains, pounding headaches. No thanks
Dr. Frank, thank you for helping so many people. I am day 4 of no nicotine after 6 years of vaping constantly. Your videos honestly are making this process possible, and much more enjoyable. I am not quitting something, I am getting my life back!
I hope you are still going strong! Good luck!
Currently on day 4. This is the last attempt I think, tried so many times but this is it. Quitting with my brother has made it way easier. Like if I give up I’m disappointing him.

im 60, about to break up with a guy, was married 37 years to a cheater (long story), I've got my health back but started smoking 2-4 months ago....I smoked a whole pack in a week this last week, I play pickleball and run, walk, go to the gym, never did I think I would smoke again (smoked a little when my children were small, and in high school). I just flushed 3 cigs down the toilet. Tomorrow is day 1, taking back my healthy life, I'm come too far to throw it all away......
You have an excellent understanding of the nicotine addict's mind. Your videos and this one in particular is informative, gives realistic hopes and expectations and just comes across as completely authentic. You are helping a lot of people, I wish you great success.
I’m on day 19 and today has been the most intense cravings but I haven’t caved in and after watching this I definitely won’t! Today I drank more caffeine than normal and had some stress, so that could be some triggers that I didn’t have any of the other days. I was starting to think this was easy, but deep down I knew I’d be tested, and that happened today. Stoked I’m staying strong! Good luck ya’ll!
Keep it up my friend you’re doing well. It will try and trick you in extremely creative and insidious ways, don’t let it. You chose to watch a video like this when a craving happened, that’s great - keep it up!
Hi dr frank, I just packed up all my vape stuff and trashed it all. Gonna be watching your channel for support. Thanks for this great content!
Never commented on a RUclips video before. This is a really, really helpful, healing and comprehensive presentation. I’m on day 9 of quitting a 20 year cigarette addiction. It’s very hard - very up and down - but I’m not giving in. Found this video and I really got so much from it today. THANK YOU

I’ve stopped today. I do everything I can to stay healthy and quitting smoking is a must. I keep telling myself I’m not giving up I’m winning 🥇 😁
You are changing my life bro🙏
I'm on my day 5 now... struggling a lot but still fighting... I'm taking it as a challenge that I will use all the stubbornness I could potentially have, against my cravings and the difficulties concentrating or all the anger, insomnia, headaches and my life that became an unpleasant place...
I'm always telling myself that this is temporary and that's my only technique I have to succeed, but it freaks me out to hear people saying, I'm on day 234, I'm on day 345... and so on!
It drags me down to imagine how long should I be counting... keeping counting means you're struggling, this kills me... in my case it's understandable to count as I'm on day 5... but if I will keep counting after day 35, what's the point of quitting! This means low quality life as a piece of hell!
I'll keep stubborn with this poor life till day 180, but if I keep counting and struggling the same, I'm gonna buy a pack of cigarette on day 181! 😅
Thanks for whoever read my angry comment, please don't take it personal and keep in mind that I'm getting through withdrawal symptoms 😊
This is the perfect video I was looking for! Thanks so much for this information! Keep up the good work doc!😊
Anytime, a bit boring but very very good!
This is the best video. It's all about understanding.

I quit nicotine just over 3 weeks ago and it was actually quite easy after all. I just took the withdrawals as they come no matter how bad I felt I just decided to not take any substitute to help. It was hell at the begining I can't deny, but in 3-7 days nicotine disappear from your system - when you keep that in your mind you will success 👍
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much.

@@omarkhan9515yes i'm also curious
I'm on 1 day and 15 hours quit (cold turkey). Feeling ok. Taking otc medication for headaches and have been tired. Main thing I have noticed is that i feel like I forgot something, or i need to do something.. just like something is missing. Not bothering me too much, just keeping my mind busy (thank god for youtube!😊)
The “something is missing is the main withdrawal symptom!
@@AddictionMindset other then watching huge amounts of tv and night time meditation, any other ideas?? Felt shit my first attempt but this time i feel surprisingly good for day 2. I learnt from last time not to catastrophize the experience. I just thought, if i can survive domestic violence then this should be easy. And so far it's not too bad, not easy, but not too bad
This was a amazing video, very informative!!!💯💯💯💯💯
I never would have “quit” if not for nicotine gum im not suggesting do if for weeks before quitting but i did use it for 3 days before quitting to reduce my nicotine intake and reduce symptoms, granted im only a week into quitting thats why i left it in quotations, but i tried multiple times without and I rarely got this far, feeling confident now.
Never realized we go through daily withdraws! That hit!! Thank you!!
I watched a couple of your other vids yesterday and decided to start today. I made it through the whole day, no vape. I use Elf bars and Lost Mary's. NGL it's been tough, but there have been some good pointers and mindset hacks that have really helped. Particularly, having a winning mindset regarding withdrawals - i found that really positive and active way to approach it.

SAMEEEEE HOLY SHIT
Congratulations Dr. Frank! I have been lifting weights since I was 12 years old. I am 6-2” and 212 lbs., and can move some iron. Caffeine & nicotine can jack you up a little before a work out and give you slightly better results for that particular work out, but are counter productive long term. I have been at my strongest when I have been not smoking! No questions about that one. Smoking, vaping, drinking, too much caffeine, overloading on sugar, recreational drugs, etc. all reduce your strength.
That’s facts Paul, have you quit any of the above substances?
@@AddictionMindset Smoking & vaping have been Achilles heal. I’ve watched guys at the gym get involved with recreational drugs, steroids and drinking. It never ends well.
This! I find that I needed to deload more regularly when using nicotine and caffeine. Acutely they’d help with sessions, until I needed them to train at all. It then becomes hard to train hard when you’re in that state.
Hi dear friends. I am in the process of doing cold turkey. So, it's been 7 days yesterday, and, boy, it hit me only last evening, such a bad crush, bad depression, desire to lit up that cigar, I'm a daily cigar smoker. Now, I'm holding on, but the reason I'm writing is because it is different also for some people. I thought look how good I'm doing, 3d, 4th, 5th day, great, how cool and easy it is, but I was deceived into thinking it's all done, no. Like I'm saying, the withdrawal started on the beginning of the eighth day. Thank you for your videos, it really keeps me going. Good luck to you all!!!
thank you for helping me, may god bless you
Currently on day 14 of no nicotine after 1 year on cigs and 4 years vaping every 15min. It's really all about the mindset, the times I tried before I couldn't last over 2 days. This is the longest I've lasted EVER. I don't even feel nearly as bad as the previous times I tried, because this time I'm deciding to suck it up, be patient, and f* off the cravings instead of arguing with them. It gets easier every day after days 3-5. Understanding the withdrawal process helped A LOT so I could be one step ahead of the ADDICT in me. Also, don't believe the "crippling withdrawal symptoms" stories, it's not that bad, and when it feels like it is, it's because you've been manipulated by your addiction and the media to feel that way, but trust your gut and distract yourself until you forget, then you'll realize it wasn't really that bad, and you'll continue on your journey towards a happier life without this toxic BS. Best decision you'll ever make.
UPDATE: 2 months free now, best decision I’ve ever made, I don’t even miss it.
you're almost at a month man! congratulations
