    I have to say a massive thank you to you, Dr Jon. At the end of last year I started to suffer from vestibular migraines and I had a lot of vertigo that came with it. I found your vestibular exercises, I did them religiously and they helped me so, so much.
    Then yesterday I pained some shelves. I must have moved awkwardly and towards the end of the day I had excruciating pain in my shoulder blade, up my neck and down my arm. I slept terribly last night as I was in so much pain. I watched this video of yours this morning, followed your exercises today and I feel so much better already. I can move my neck and I can breathe without pain! So I will sleep so well tonight.
    Thank you so much for your knowledge and videos. You have genuinely helped me so much with two different issues and for that I am so grateful. Thank you.

    Hey Doc, first off thank you! And As for the second stretch when I do the stretch i not only feel it in the scalene muscles but I feel it in the mid arm too. Is that normal for that response? I hold the side of the chair & tilt first like you say but I’m just trying to make sure I’m doing this correctly. Also I have SUB’d and use more of your great self helping videos. Great stuff.

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  2 года назад +3

      Yes you may feel it down the nerve a little bit...but it shouldn't make the discomfort worse...as well look to make sure the pain is centralizing over time with the exercises/stretches...meaning that it is traveling down your arm less and coming back to your neck...best wishes.

    Going through this problem right now. If you have this pain and particularly if you have numbness in your arm and hand, get an MRI immediately. Then get physio therapy following a correct diagnosis or even surgery. Pinched nerves can lead to permanent nerve damage and should be treated as an emergency.

    This great! The traction for the neck with the towel doesn't seem to do much for me. But also, since it's my right shoulder that's affected, I don’t have a lot of strength in that arm to pull up on the towel for more than 5 to 10 seconds. Everything else really helps! Thanks!

    Great video. Great tips. Thanks for making and posting this video. Can we do these first two exercises on both sides, because I feel little pain behind my right shoulder blade ,but pain on the area between left shoulder and the neck . I have my neck side muscles twitching and jaws closing more quickly than normal.
