    Such a fantastic vehicle. Glad to see the Germans appreciate them. Very similar picture to my excellent local dealer in Carlisle UK (also next door to BMW and Mini!). Quartermaster very cool, but unless you're out in the sticks all the time, it needs some sort of locking cover/top. And it is biiiggg (though maybe not for Americans!)!

    Thank you so much. I have a QM on order with arrival in the US in Q2. I option the canvas cover and this is the first time I have seen it in real life. It looks like a solid option

      Thanks for commenting. Seeing the QM was a great surprise and I agree that the canvas cover looks great in person. Be aware that the cover snaps to the rear door with riveted snaps and you will want to take care with these as I noticed a couple of them had pulled off (likely from somebody opening before unsnapping) - but probably not an issue for a car that's not a demo model. Congrats on getting a QM!

    Cool idea, when in Germany, visit an Ineos dealer. Very interesting. Agree wholeheartedly with you, the leather steering wheel should have matched the colors of the interior. It just seems like an afterthought as it is.

      Thanks for your comments. Yes, some people really like the saddle leather regardless of the color mis-match, but it sounds like we agree that it seems out of place.

      Thanks for commenting! It's been a few years since I've been to Switzerland, it was beautiful. Nice to know that folks are watching from all around the world.

    Wow. Quartermaster looks so much better with that truck bed cover!

      Thanks for the comment. Sometimes, seeing things in person really helps! You get a feel for the proportions and the cover is a really distinguishing feature.

    Welcome to Germany! Cool vid as always 😎 RR and Ineos is such a good combo. Fun fact: 296 RR vs 430 Ineos were sold in Germany in 2024. So you can indeed feel very special when you drive an Ineos here 🚜😂 Enjoy you trip!

      I would agree that a Grenadier is a head turner in Germany due to it's rarity. But being alongside the Rolls Royce (they had the Grenadier parked next to the RR SUV) seems telling that they see this as an upmarket 4x4. Thanks for commenting and adding info on sales of the RR and Grenadier!

    I have a magic mushroom wagon and a Scottish White wagon. The Magic Mushroom can be confused with Scottish White but a Scottish White car could never be confused with Magic Mishroom. Interesting, but if you’re guessing it’s probably Magic Mushroom.

      LOL - you're probably right. I first thought the QM that I saw was black in the daylight and it was Britannia Blue - and that's the color that I own! so I should have spotted it immediately. The camera did a better job with the lighting as everything looked like a color in the video. Thanks for sharing.

    Uprightness of the rear seat and leg room put me off ordering a QM (90mm further forward). Rubber mats are the best over carpet, no sand mud etc to clean out, pull them out and hose down, you don't even need to hose the floor out. The issue with the tailgate is there is no way to stop dirt getting in between the gate and the tub. The saddle leather smell on the steering wheel is something else, has matching passenger grab handle, you prob can't smell it as it's cold.

      Thanks for confirming what my eyes were telling me about the shorter distance between front and rear seating. I appreciate your comments as others will see this and it's helpful in decision making and things to make note of when considering a QM.

      @MyAutomobileObsession the driving experience is very similar, I have a friend with one. Cab chassis is the best option IMO, you can then customise your tray/canopy to suit your needs

    Winch cover difference probably for pedestrian impact regulations. Wasn’t that entire front bumper also plastic as apposed to our steel?

    • @MyAutomobileObsession
      @MyAutomobileObsession  2 дня назад

      Good point! It did seem more plastic up front and I didn't tap the entire bumper to confirm as it looks identical but do know that standards and regulations vary in different countries. Thanks for commenting.
