The 4820 is a solid machine, heavy built and sturdy. The engine is an absolute jewel, I just turned 550h in my TYM T474 that has the same A2300N4 engine in it, mechanical injected and no computers.
What a great tractor for you! I’m So happy you won’t have to question your horsepower needs. That should be perfect for you. Is the BX staying? *Keep on tractoring!*
I'm SO glad that you were able to step up even further than the larger framed 25HP machine. Whoever talked you into (and helped you do it financially) stepping up further size-wise, was 100% correct in my humble opinion. I agree with them that you the novelty of the newer 25HP machine probably would have worn off pretty fast. I'm not downplaying the 25HP larger framed machine, it definitely would have been a step up for you, I just don't think it would have been a big enough step up to allow you to do as many things as you would like to be able to do with a tractor. I think this new machine should fill your needs for some time to come. I'm also glad that you were able to keep the Kubota, because I've got both a 5 series Kioti, and a 1 (just like your Kubota) series Kubota, and BOTH machines definitely have their places. There are some things that my Kubota does better than the Kioti does. In any event, I think you'll be MORE than happy with your TYM, they're good machines. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I own a TYM 574 HST and love It for land clearing and land preparation for gardening and hay fields. The 574 can handle the hay production equipment I will need in the future. Get you some counter weight, because TYM’s Tractors can definitely lift the rear wheels off the ground. You will love your choice.
Congratulations on your purchase. i'm glad you went with TYM 4820h , i have the TYM 4820ch, and it's probably the best thing we have purchased when it comes to equipment for the farm.
@ Thanks! You made the comment here about living in a hilly area, and if I have one regret on mine, it’s just that I might have gone a little higher on horse power for that reason. I end up in A range about 95% of the time. I’ve already done a few jobs with it with my business though and this thing will work!
Mr Lucas this is awesome. Great job picking this out and great machine. Better to have something a little bigger than you need. You can always grow into it. Congratulations on your new machine.
Happy to see you chose a long term tractor !!!! Congratulations I do have an ask for content on how did the truck handle the load? Is it at the top of the limit for your truck trailer combo and can you get the tractor and implants on the trailer and stay in the weight capacity?
I will try to plan a video about all of that. The truck pulls it easily and it felt great. My trailer is pretty maxed out though. It’s going end up being an issue…
Well congratulations young man on the new tym tractor hope it does good for you. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy yall's family time and homestead
Man that is a great choice. I am so glad you went ahead and got a larger horsepower tractor. I personally believe you got the best engine. My T474 HST has the exact same engine and it is a beast. Congratulations my friend. Excellent choices all the way around.
Awesome stuff Lucas 👏 👌 congratulations on the new ride i new you would go with the TYM 😎😎😎 once again congratulations cant wait to see you put it through it's paces man those back tires are huge 😀
love to see your hard work pay off! im also curious to see if that tractor might be too "big" for some tasks where the bx might be just perfect great video.
Good choice. My 1025R couldn't pull itself up a hill in high range when i bought it until I got to adjusting the injector pump. 25 HP just isn't enough
The more people I talked to the more I realized that I just wasn’t going to be happy with a 25hp. This machine is amazing. I’m doing some BIG stuff with it already.
Congratulations! I think that machine is going to work out well for you! "Just a Little bit more" hahahaha.... it is so hard when you are tractor shopping. You can keep adding just a a little more and gotta know when to stop. So happy for you sir and again, I think you made a great choice!
I have the 4815ch by branson. One of the last ones made before the buy-out. It does everything and more then I will ever need it for right now. But I also don't know what I will be doing g in the future so went with the bigger size the what I needed just incase. I do not regret spending the extra money for a bigger tractor. Hope you have great luck with your tym like I do with mine. I know you will like it.
I’m not the least bit surprised by your choice. Because you are a practical no bells and whistles person you have made an excellent decision IMO. Although I’m old enough to be your dad , you remind me of MY father. He would always choose function and practically over shiny objects. Looking forward to seeing the work this machine is capable of doing
Hopefully the bigger TYM’s hold up better than the subcompact ones. My neighbor has a subcompact with 160 hours and every time we work together on something it feels like it’s going to fall apart. All the controls are loose, the hydraulic lines aren’t very protected and all the loader and backhoe pin points shake like crazy. My Bx23s with 550 hours is still tight.
I just pulled the trigger on a TYM 574. You are not joking about the value and capacities of these tractors. Simply, the other guys are missing the boat. Congratulations. Can’t wait to see what I can do.
TYM T2058 or close to that model. OK I was totally wrong but the same family congratulations I’m so excited for you. I hope to see you at the Farm and Equipment show this February.
If you went big, then I'm guessing the TYM T494. Looking forward to seeing what you actually chose. I was pretty close, it has the same Kukje engine in it. 👍😉🚜
I feel like you would have gone with a TYM, dealer special or not. The 2515 would likely have been sufficient for your needs, considering you were able to get the BX to work with about 1/3rd the lift capacity of the 2515. They are a great tractor for the price and their performance beats the competition.
I do think I would have been able to accomplish what I needed to with the 2515. I think this way I will be stressing the machine much less. I agree, I just kept coming back to the TYM. I think they are a great company that has great things coming.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Ive got the TYM T254 and with a 700lb ballast box and liquid filled tires, it easily lifts the IBC totes full of oak high enough to stack two. If your tires didnt come filled, you can fill them yourself with winter windshield washer fluid. Makes a huge difference in ride and stability.
Good choice Lucas Kubota is going to have to up their game if they want repeat customers Here in my part of the country, we don’t have a TYM dealer within 150 miles of me They offer features that Kubota doesn’t , all the while at a cheaper price tag

So.... You've bought Chinese junk, that burns more fuel, will costs more maintenance, parts and repair wise... While you don't need this big of a tractor... Good salesman, I'll give him that!
