    12:14 Two years ago I got my dad the electric Lube Shuttle, my brother & I the pistol grip Lube Shuttle grease guns with Li400 greasell based on TTWT's videos and recommendations. My dad who grew up on a farm and seemed to always be in the shop working on something, doing some kind of mechanicing loved his! He didn't know it existed and would send videos of it in action and would often text me "thanks again" after he had been working on his vehicles/equipment. I think mom loved it just as much because dad wasn't a greasy mess. lol.
    I inherited dad's electric Lube Shuttle after he passed away this year from cancer. Diagnosed on Mom's birthday, May 8, died May 25. Also lost my uncle a in October after a 2.5 yr battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. He flew Marine One (Carter, Reagan) I still have the Jelly Bean jar and note that President Reagan gave me, but that's a story for another time. If you can swing it get the electric Lube Shuttle gun. I like my pistol grip but after using dad's electric it was sooo much cooler! For anyone who has ever done any greasing this Lube Shuttle is a game changer!! Oh be sure to add the Lock n Lube Coupler and the Lock n Lube Metric 10x1 (f) to 1/8" NPT (m) Adapter and use TTWT code and save some $$.

    I bought a landscape rake a few years ago and tried to use it to clean up the beach. I later bought the Frontier wheels. The wheels did not help in the soft sand. It dug in quicker than I could react and spun the tractor out. The neighbor was using a drag harrow to smooth my tracks but it had to be picked up manually. He bought a 3 point dethatcher from Good Works Tractor that works pretty good. Now they have 4 rows of tines. I will check into the Heavy Hitch dethatcher.

    On the landscape rake I grabbed a king kutter xb version from fleet farm few years ago. Got it modified to work with the Imatch hitch even if I didn’t use the Imatch the king kutter was lil small for the bare 3 point arms.
    New idea I had was rigging up a mount for the loader where I could hook up 3 point attachments then hook up the landscape rake, Then control it with the loader. Also thought be great to load 3 point attachments on the truck or trailers

    Another alternative is a version like the larger, 3 brush model you showed but powered by the rear wheels. We use those at work and for approx. $300 it can sweep about 40,000 sq ft / hr. It will stir up dust but we use clean sweep first and that keeps the dust way down.

    10:26 tip on using a landscape rake that connects to a 2” receiver + weight bar combination as shown in this video.
    ♦️Remove all your suitcase weights before you use it.
    Why? The landscape rake shaft is simply not built to handle that much downforce plus the individual tines will dig in too far.
    I went with an off-brand, not heavy hitch, but the concept is the same.
    I’ve seen bent shafts on various facebook tractor groups. It’s always the same story. The operator did not remove the suitcase weights.

    • @williamgaines9784
      @williamgaines9784 Месяц назад

      The HeavyHitch model I have has a solid shaft, it would take A LOT to bend it. However, the receiver will certainly bend, and that much weight might bend the tines beyond their flex limit. I think demo was done with the weights on the tractor, because they were already on and they did not want to load and unload the rack.

    I've been wanting the summit hydraulics for a while, and I'm probably going to be gifting them to myself in the near future. I would be getting the 4 spool (3 rear, 1 front). For the rear, I would get a hydraulic top link and maybe one day down the road, an articulating flail mower. I'm assuming that since the summit kit is electric solenoids, it doesn't offer any kind of float function. Since you have a lot of experience with them and multiple hydraulically operated impliments, have you ever had an issue with not having the float function?

    Tim,
    I saw a video the other day of a front excavator attachment. This was not the " Front Hoe " attachment that we see on the market primarily for the Skid Steer family.
    But rather a literal excavator.
    It seemed to be from a foreign market, and someone commented that it may be a Mahindra product. I looked at Mahindra and couldn't find it.
    Does Tim or anyone else know of it's existence or availability ?
    It featured :
    1) Front mount (not like a front end loader).
    2)Front dozer blade (which could double as outriggers when on the ground).
    3)360 degree rotation on a hydraulic turntable.
    4) 3 or 4 hydraulic cylinder function (main boom,jib boom,bucket curl,thumb)
    5)Seat operated joystick.

    • @randallthomas5207
      @randallthomas5207 Месяц назад

      Actually, it was so folks would know there was a difference between the 18V NiCad and the Li ion batteries. Dewalt used to have both Li and NiCad batteries for the old 18V system with the stem. But folks didn’t adopt the Li batteries because the were twice as expensive, and had issues charging when too cold or too hot.

      @@randallthomas5207 We can argue about it if you want but it its nothing more than a marketing gimmick. They wanted people to upgrade their tools. Didn't this video show a Deere cast bucket? I'm not fond of buying a quick attach if it isn't going to work with my Deere bucket.

    I like the lube shuttle electric grease gun concept and in fact I own the manual version. However, the price for the electric version is way out of line. Before tax and shipping it's $530. A DEWALT electric gun is around $240 before tax and I can pick it up locally. Even with your 10% discount the lube shuttle is way over priced. My regret is buying the extra lube-shuttle grease cartridges when I purchased the manual gun. I didn't expect how tiring it would be to use the hand squeeze approach (I'm 74). I dread when I have to grease. In fact, it probably keeps me from performing lubrication as often as I should due to the difficulty of working the manual gun. A lever works way better for me if I have to go manual.

    Sorry, but give me the push broom every day. You are using the push broom wrong! You would be kicked off of a real job site for the way you are doing it. I know this seems pedantic, but you should NOT be making a dust cloud with any broom. You can also use sweeping compound for better cleaning and a healthier level of dust creation. The two battery sweepers appeared to create more dust than proper push broom technique. I’d opt for a shop vac with a brush nozzle over al, the other options.
