Hopefully mr nelson likes the tribute’s that his fans done for him you will be missed mr Ricky nelson rip you don’t have to worry anymore just keep rocking up there in the great byonder .
When it's a great song, such as "Poor Little Fool", I don't think it really matters. The Fleetwood, Sweet Jeana & The Roommates, and Patti Page also had excellent covers of it. Ricky just happened to be first when he took it to #1 for two weeks in August of '58.
Great rendition of this beloved Ricky Nelson classic. The video was the icing on the cake. ❤❤❤ btw You can now find lots more recordings and videos from England's fabulous Firebirds on RUclips's Contemporary Doo Wop..... ruclips.net/p/PLZY0gh4CnM6g4rDNb40W-R3X1ZabhHjo1&si=B-4bV_kmqGREkdru
I love the 50’s culture but it wasn’t wholesome and simple for everyone. Segregation validated many other kinds of racism, with tolerated senseless violence towards blacks, gays, other minorities. I agree the left goes overboard on identity politics, but compare being hassled about pronouns a few times, to having a family member lynched and the law looking the other way. Or being told you can’t go to restaurants or hotels or housing and told to keep to “your kind.” To being assumed to be low Intelligence and low skilled on sight, regardless of how hard you’ve worked to improve yourself. I know which adversity I’d prefer to deal with. To simplify these eras tends to suggest a lack of empathy. Seriously, how hard has “woke” culture made your life?? Or is it more that you miss the old days when you felt your life had more promise, and now you’d rather blame changing social trends for your unhappiness rather than take control and change it, as many have done (and no matter how marginalized, are expected by conservatives to do all on their own.). Perspective.
@@brianstorm5488 Total Bullshit! I lived the 1950s as a black kid in Saint Louis, Missouri. Sure there were places that we could not go. But as young teens having fun, we didn't care.

A nice song. The sixties always the BEST. All my best regards from Spain
Made , & released in 1958 : Ricky Nelson.
@@Tom-gv2eo Really liked Ricky Nelson. First song I ever played in public. I knew 4 chords and it was in Singapore when I was in the RAF in 1966.
The days when all you really worried about was if a boy or girl liked you and being with friends. Love this music! :)
Always a pleasure to hear this song from the sixties.

When life was wholesome and simple...now, if you use the wrong pronoun you can get into trouble by HR😂😂
