I love that vq/vr sound. I had a 370z and I put exhaust on it. It sounded so good. Sounds just like a GTR minus the turbo sounds and it was a little higher pitched. But the GTR, 370z, q60, g37 are some of the best sounding v6 engines IMO.

You also have to understand these numbers are on a manufacturers car, tested by Car and Driver. They are weather adjusted as well (and we don't know how far they are adjusted). If you go to the dealership and time a stock M340i, you will be closer to the mid 4s 0-60, and higher 12s quarter mile. They wouldn't just sell a 470hp car for under 60k, hence taking out the point of the M3/M4.

Dima K bmw rates their cars horsepower at the crank instead of whp, the M340i does indeed have around 470 horsepower at the crank and the M3/4 have around 500 at crank and around 530 for the competition specs and they even underrate their 0-60 times, the M5 comp according to bmw has a 0-60 time of 3.1 but independent tuners and auto magazines confirmed its more like 2.8 seconds... Fordguy1997 I have it. It is pretty quick, BUT I doubt there’s any 400+hp sedan from BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Infiniti that would lose to the MKZ. MKZ has to be one of the slowest 400hp sedans out there. The reason it’s slow is that even with AWD, it can’t ever launch without spinning the tires or bouncing the tires. It’s beyond embarrassing how poorly Lincoln thought this out. They just tossed in a turbo V6 and called it a day when in fact it needed tuning of several physical parts to be able to put the power down. 6 speed automatic in 2020 is beyond embarrassing. I still love the car though, the bmw 3 series and Q50 are quicker, but the Lincoln is so far ahead in features. Things like power closing trunk, full glass panoramic roof, 1200 watt sound system, 360 degree parking sensors(Infiniti and bmw only have front and rear, mkz can sense 360 degrees), and it’s far more comfortable.

However, since I live in Asia, it would be much nicer to me and also European viewers of your channel to see measured data in KM/H too. I know you are an American channel and your metric system is miles per hour but I think performance measuring devices can record and show times in both km/h and mph units. So, you can announce 0-100 km/h time of each car you test whenever you measure its 0-60 mph time. This is just a suggestion and you may simply ignore it but it can make your channel appeal to viewers on a global scale. Thanks again for your efforts.

@@buzzpedrotti5401 The never have been money pits they cost more for maintenance cause they are a luxury car.. if u cant afford the maintenance on a bmw u cant afford a luxury car to begin with is the reality.... when broke people buy high mileage luxury cars and have to do high mileage maintenance it creates that stereotype but they just cant afford the car is the reality.. yes it cost more for oil changes, filters, etc.... and yes when that 150k or whatever hits and u need a near wear and tear part like a radiator that goes out or something its guna cost more... but those parts fail eventually in ALL cars water pumps, radiators, usually dont last as long as the engine that was well taken care of

@@lolz616 Yet the same people buy Toyotas & Lexi in the same condition and they aren't faced with the continuous decision of fix again at exhorbitant prices or junk it because the designers were cavalier about design for maintenance, six sigma reliability and misapplied plastics & green materials in locations where they degrade prematurely.
How is it that a Lexus catalyst never needs to be replaced but BMW O2 sensors & catalysts are a timebombs? Why are LS430s timeless bank vaults and S500s and A8s expensive albatrosses? Perhaps these Japanese workmen value their work and customers more?

Great and unbiased comparison! I think 5.9s against 5.64s is very negligible, given that the Infiniti's 7 speed needs more time to adjust to an aggressive driving style, unlike the more aggressively tuned sport+ mode of the BMW's 8 speed. Switching to non runflat tires on the Infiniti would also shave a decibel from the cabin sound.

69K is high for the BMW - I ordered mine without leather, that color on the BMW is a nearly 2K option. I got the important stuff - Adaptive M suspension, 19 inch wheels, HK sound, remote start, and it was around 64K. I came from a G37 but the handling of the M340 and refinement, transmission make all the difference.
