4 months later, a lot of these options are gone. I used to use speech often, but it doesn't work with any books I've tried. The formatting options are limited to changing the font, text size, and background color. Tiresome that these companies keep removing features rather than adding them

It’s so handy if you go in accessibility on your iPhone and press spoken content and then swipe on speak selection and speak screen 😆😆 and then I underline the words in the book and reading on the app and then press the little arrow it’s reads the whole page to me as a dyslexic person it’s helped me a lot I’m reading Thursday murder club at the minute so good 😂

Does anyone know if there is a way to manage the books metadata the way the Music app lets you do it? Can you correct the author's name on multiple books at once, or link books together when they are part of a series or a collection?
I often highlight phrases when studying in the books app but recently when i try to highlight a word and hold it for a couple of seconds it wont get straight and stay squiggly (same with circle and line), maybe anyone could inform me if the removed that feature in the books app”
I wish they'd develop some option so that I could look for books in the store that have certain words in them. For example if I wanted to search in the book store for a book that had the word "Clinitron" in the book, then I could set something, and I could find books with that word in them. It'd be real nice. Or if I wanted to look in the apple book store with the word "Hubbard Tank," I could! I think that Apple needs to develop this, because that would be really nice. The books I'm trying to find are very very hard to find, and I usually have a hard time with that. I think that they should develop something that would make that a little bit easier!

I like Apple Books. Only thing that sucks is I don’t have any animations at all. No page turn, no flash card look alike animation. It just goes from one page and flashes to a new screen. Reminds me of an older kindle.
I think I read they are bringing back the page turn animation in 16.4 so look out for that. 👍

It can’t be sync the furthest page read and the highlights I had put on another device. Know anyone something?? (I have done these things with iCloud, maybe bcsI have not so much space?)
Im on ios 15.5 and i only can access my books throught Ibooks and i can't access the ibooks library or my reading goals
I don’t have the option to change the colour to anything but black or white, which is frustrating as I struggle with the contrast between white and black, I prefer using green and white
If you delete the app and reinstall it, will your downloads still be there?
There is no note taking option for ebooks anymore. Only PDFs seem to support the pen

Sometimes adding a pdf file from a website. The file enters BOOK but some photos don’t show up. Can i copy and paste the photos into the BOOKS file?

My iBooks don’t allow me to search for recent/latest books. Their only outdated books
Best nighttime reading: make it a black background, and then [system Display Settings] turn on the system color filter-to ‘all red’.
Accessibility options allow your triple-click to be assigned to ‘color filter on/off’.
So many books are not available on Apple Books. What’s wrong with that? Is it because of where I live or what?

I was looking myy ipad when buying and ebook on my apple ereader it says card number, exily dat and security number, does that mean you need to key into your ipad ereader apple appt the whole secury number of the card or just one half of it?

Does anybody know how to enable book like view? Like books screen shot in books store under description? There books look stunning with pages visible on both sides, nice deep shadow like between pages. But when you read book all look flat. Thanks
Try Menu > Themes and Settings > Original.
And disable continuous scroll.

My old Ipad is so old it is no longer is updated by IBooks. This is great as I can use this setup. The problem is I bought a new Ipad and this Ibooks version has me completely stumped. I have tried on and off for the last 2-3 years to use this Ibooks but to no avail. I cannot read a book comfortably, cannot move around easily within a book and cannot set up different book collections. I have decided yet again to try and work out how to do this. If I'm not successful yet again I books will be consigned to the rubbish heap and will concentrate on my Kindle collection

Do you have the option to Remove the book? The option to Hide a book should appear after clicking Remove.

Why would anyone use their books app? Its shitty to the point of being unusable. Deletes books at random, even if you downloaded them few hours before and there is enough memory. It does not allow to open books via another app even though you have downloaded it locally. Where it is? Files? no.icloud? It should be-but no. You wont find it. You download it and turn icloud off-congratulations now it is not shown
