Yes I have that too sometimes. I think it’s because the cpu do other things at the same time. I quit the other apps and it seems to get better. But I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker either

If you use Apple Books app they sync between your devices on the same Apple account using iCloud. If you activate iCloud sync in the Books app settings then it's totally automatic.

I wish we could change or adjust how the reader pronounces certain words. And with Voice Over being an accessibility feature, you’d think Apple would give it more attention.
No idea, it doesn't do that for me on my iPhone 13 pro max or iPad Air 4. It pauses for about the time it takes to turn the page. As long as it takes when turning a page physically and that doesn't bother me at all.

It continues where you left of if you use the controls. So if you tap the play button instead it do that. My recommendation though is to have a larger font so that there is not too much text on one page. And you can pause by tapping with two fingers anywhere on the page and tap again to continue
Thanks for suggestions. I’ll try it. The one thing I want to suggest you while reading 50 books per year is try to find a book “how to read books “. That’s more about understanding than the technics. In this technics there is minimal amount of iterations of reading a book, it’s 3 times minimum to get the idea and include critical thinking. I hope you’ll enjoy this book

When I try this I get no speak able content can be found on the screen.... Too bad I can't add epub to pocket as I like one of their offline voices they use the best.
@@svartling That sure was a quick reply haha. I am using Apple Books. The only way I have found it to work is to turn on scrolling instead of page flipping - highlight everything - tap - and then speak.

It works everywhere where text is. I use it with the kindle app. Highlighting the text that is read aloud only work in Apple Books though

This method use to work on my iPhone X but with the last couple updates it no longer works. It just tells me no speakable content on the screen.
Still works for me on all my apple devices. iPhone 7, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 13 Pro max, iPad Air 4. It’s an apple feature. Not a hack.

Nothing I am using personally. It is probably how the hand tool works. I only use the method I show in the video.
So, on the iPhone 11, how do you get it to change pages... the voice will continue to read to the next page, but it won't visually switch pages

You can change how it should pronounce words by going into the settings for spoken content I show in the video

hi how do I get it to flip the pages when reading aloud, in my pad it reads it for one page thsn stops when the page ends.

It pauses at the end of the page and takes 4 seconds to continue on the next page when I use my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and that's awful! How do I fix it?

I’m able to listen to the audio but it won’t highlight the words as I read. I clicked on the highlight content then word but it still won’t to it.
Try sentence and see if that works. Then back to words. If not. Then restart your phone

Then you are swiping from to high. You need to find the magic spot. Just below the top.
What about having it start reading from the middle of the page?

What does the hand icon do? You can see it at time marker 7:30
It makes it possible make it read up a word or sentence that you mark

Just add the pdf to Apple Books the same way you add epubs.
it cannot be use in IOS 16
