Yes, thank you ❤ 3yrs later on my iPad mini 5 and 13 pro. Trying to get a hang of the swiping down part. 😅 Update: I couldn’t swipe for audible because after going to settings: •Accessibility •Spoken Content I had to then select/turn on: •speak selection •speak screen •show controller Then I set up my English voice under Siri voice 3, which has 99% less of a robotic voice. 😂 I hope this helped someone. Thank you, I have watched many videos trying to learn how to get my iPad to read to me. It’s not until I watched your video that explained step-by-step exactly what to do in detail. Write down to the swiping. Wish I had trouble with until I saw your video. I am forever grateful thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I’ve tried using VoiceOver before, but it was always SO labor intensive. Your video parted the clouds for me and now I’m able to listen to books that aren’t available in audio form yet. YAY!!
I have been using voice over for some time and learnt something new today, thank you. Yes the reader always stops at page 1 and I have to restart it manually. So frustrating when cycling. Thank you for the tip to page forward and back.

Thank you so much for this! I was trying to use Voice Over, and it was extremely frustrating. This is so much more effective. Apparently now there is a speech button that can be enabled rather than the 2 finger swipe, so I’m giving that a try. It’s persistent, so may annoy me in the long run, but right now I’m loving it.
Based on your comment, I opted for the same route! So far loving it too. Down side is having to touch the screen too turn the page but so far better than zero. Now I can listen to books I’ve purchased without having to spend even more on their audiobook counterpart. 😆
Thank you, Kyle, for helping me solve a real irritating problem; my Kindle would stop at end of every page….you solved this for me in your video and I appreciate you! PF Nashville, TN
I have used this for some time, but your video provided a better understanding of ther controls. One more point about the speaking rate - there is a sliding scale at the bottom of the Spoken Content settings page that allows fine tuning the rate. For me, it's best at 0.8x of normal.

Interesting. Your diagnosis sounds right. Unfortunately, I have no idea about a suggested treatment. I have found a *couple* (though not many) of my Kindle books that don't seem to be encoded right to support this. Maybe try a few and try to rule out whether this is a book-specific problem?

Works for me but stops reading on every page. I must tap the pause button, and then the arrow, on every page to restart it. Only rarely will it continue beyond a single page.
