I have seen everything from shifter karts to formula cars to $100k muscle cars run at autocross. But, by far, my favorite autocross car is a guy who always shows up to the local events in a clapped out Saturn Ion. He bought it for $400 from someone's mom, threw a turbo he found in the back of the barn on it, and usually has 5 people in it every lap. Has it ever completed an event without some sort of issue? No. Is he having the most fun of everybody there? Absolutely.
My favorite autocross events are where the guy who showed up with a 918 Spyder is taking advice from Saturn Ion guy, because Ion guy has so much track experience, and is actually getting surprisingly good lap times even though he threw a rod at the last race.
Damn, I was kinda hoping for another header adventure(pref the 1-4/\2-3 UEL pairs), but this is fair, too. Time to get you some 17x9 RPF1's with 245/40R17s on that mug.
You wanna have some real fun, walk the course, turn around and walk in the reverse direction. You’ll see slight elevation changes and surface camber that you don’t see the normal direction.

I was a little curious on how it would handle on a autocross course, since i wanted to get into that for a start. It looked like i'd have to watch out for liftoff oversteer just from your video, but if there's any other tips or things you'd advise on i'd greatly appreciate it.
My advice is to fix the common problems with the engine first. (locktite the intake butterflies & delete the pre cat) After that I would get some camber bolts and set the camber to -1.5°, and add some negative toe. Beyond that just practice.

A set of those wheels alone costs more than I paid for the whole car, lol. I do plan to make the header video, at some point.

Autocross events are like Miata owners clubs. It's the perfect car for it, you really have to out drive them to win against them
Never tried the "sea of cones" US style autocross, only on airstrips. The navigation on the us ones is always so confusing:)
