I’m not sure if many people just don’t know about it, but if you aren’t near a town or any train station you can fast travel from the camp you can set up in the wilderness. And you get this ability when you purchase the map from the gang camp. So you really can just fast travel anywhere.

@@woodroblue8332 I started playing a few days ago and am going for honourable Arthur. I’m rarely doing main missions because I want to spend as much time in each camp as I can. This game is unbelievable and cannot believe GoW won GOTY when things are still being discovered about this game. I guess a lot of people like simple over complex. Go figure.
I played soooo many games in the last 15 years. Bought me this game 20 days ago. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVERY PLAYED. Where do I need to sign for it to be official statement? This is pure masterpiece. From horse shit, to eye pupils changing size depending of amount of the light you are facing, like in real life, to hair and beard growing and simulation of real life ecosystems and food chains. An eagle, really do catch that damn fish or rabbit to eat. If he does not do that, he will die. I've seen a fox chasing down 1 rabbit.. and many other real details.. like, every NPC has his own life. Go to town and follow one. He goes to sleep at his home, he gets up, has morning routine, he works, he eats and food he eats really gets eaten and so on.. NPC's live real life. Incredible. Other details, you discover for yourself. I am simply amazed and i spend hours a day just watching details and traveling around, doing side missions or RP free roam, and when I feel the time is right, i jump in 1 main mission. 20 days in, and I am still in chapter 2. And probably will be here for a long time.
Still playing after 1,500 hours. Still finding new stuff. Just the other day I was pushing my horse pretty hard in snow country where it was 10 degrees. I got off my horse and noticed there was steam coming off his body. What detail!! 😲 best game ever!
Emulated the Xbox 360 version on my laptop on a whim, just to see how it functioned. Ended up blowing through the game over three weeks. Now I'm about 20 hours into Red Dead Redemption 2, and it's still awe-inspiring. I was considering playing something more relaxing, like Stardew Valley, or jumping back into No Man's Sky, but RDR2 is striking that perfect balance of having enough activities that let you just kick back and relax, while also having a phenomenal story, wonderful characters, all beautifully animated, in the best looking open world I've ever seen.
When it came out I was working onboard a ship I took a week off on the sick (strange coincidence) And had probably the best gaming experience of my life Just the best game.. What a quality review sir Makes one want to play it all over again
I revisit this game once a year or so, have played through all the way probably four or five times, gotten 100% a couple times. Every time I play it, I wish Arthur could have had another ending, while also knowing that the game wouldn't have anywhere near the impact or gravitas that it does, if he did.
It is weird because we will soon start talking about it as an old game. For me it is the best game ever considering all aspects of the game. Game still holds up video unbelievably and i don't know if there will be another story based game with so much realism in it for a long time.
I've lost count of my many playthroughs, I just love this game so much, each playthrough I find something new that I never seen in any other playthrough, it's unlike any game I have ever played.
Same bro but the only game I would say is a close second if not slightly better is Ghost of tsushima, if you haven't check it out i recommend it. The best way I could describe it is, its like Japanese assassin, samurai fighting game. Its Definitely different in the setting but the story and and addiction i had to the game for a couple months was the same as rdr2
@@yasminconroy8122 I played Ghost of Tsushima. Loved the combat. Good scenery. Nice music. Decent story. But pretty much hated everything else. The stealth is a joke. The game feels repetitive and underdeveloped, especially if you compare it to how alive and rich RDR2's world is. Most of the NPCs are the same. Random encounters are so generic. Dialogue is so much inferior to RDR2. It's maybe due to the fact I played Ghost after RDR2. This game really set the bar too high for upcoming open world games.
@@christheclamper6614 that's the beauty of it when you play it for the first time. You get a lot of surprises especially the first time you play it. Which adds to the immersion and realism that the game was aiming for. Also my first playthrough I had Javier come to me out of nowhere telling me that I've been away for too long 😂. Like wtf?
@@tylerdordon99 bro I’m telling you I’ve been playing this since it’s release and I’m STILL discovering so many new surprises in the games beautiful world. Yeah there's no debate that this is the best game ever made, the dynamic gameplay alone makes it top notch...not to mention the world, story, characters, customization etc..there's no other game that's even close.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V are both masterpieces, in different ways, but RDR 2 takes the case imo. Simply AMAZING game! I've put the game on hold simply because I don't ever want it to end; I want to be able to keep coming into that world just like going on a vacation to an exotic land where I can dust my weary shoes off. No game except The Witcher 3 and mentioned GTA V has done that for me, EVER. Assassin's Creed Odyssey WANTS to be that game, and I WANT it to be that game, because the world is so beautiful, but every time I return to it I soon remember why I got fatigue and stopped playing it after some short time. Not so with RDR 2; instead I'll start the game up and find myself exploring and just doing odd things rather than progressing the story, and this with utter Joy! What I want now is an official patch that allows me to play RDR 2 in VR! That would make me a seriously happy camper (or cowboy as the case may be!).
@@teddyleandre I tried to get into Elden Ring, and did enjoy it while playing. Very hard to get back into though, if you have to take a break from it for a while. Also I am more of a story RPG guy, with dialogue and towns and stuff, and in that way Elden Ring came off a bit disjointed to me. No denying it is an excellent game and quite an achievement though! I support the developer!
Worth every penny. I played online for a year and just bought story mode in Dec 2023. Glad I went online first as you can see those characters are casted in story mode as well.
Most alive game I’ve ever played currently replaying right now and I’m loving it. Just beat hogwarts legacy but I needed that rpg game fix so RDR2 it is glad I made that choice
Started playing a couple of weeks ago, and 65 hours later still on level 2, and loving it. I play mostly first person, but not on horse back, I play on a PC and I find it a little difficult to control the movement. Other than that it`s a terrific game.
Wonderfully smart organic commentary to accompany the random & well engineered nature of this experience! Your passion for this adventure goes beautifully with the excellent & well thought out captured game-play, augmenting every key point. Quite enjoyable & one of your better profiles on a special game like this diamond from Rockstar!
It's the only game I've ever played that managed to give me goosebumps. I don't know how the hell they did it. I'd be riding along and approaching a covered bridge, and something just didn't feel right. As I got closer or onto the bridge. Sure enough, out comes some bandits to rob me. Like, I don't know how a game gives you that feeling. Something else I'd never seen in any other game is the diversity in the open world. Even after 80-100 hours. I kept finding things I'd never come across before. Even traveling thru some of the same areas. The game always kept me on my toes. The lack of updates to the game is a shame from Rockstar, though. We should've at least got the next-gen updates. I would've had another playthru if they had done it.
I’ve just never really been into the wild West setting. I’ve beat the first red dead redemption along time ago. It was OK but if the 2nd one is as big as they say and submersive idk if it will keep me engaged
I'm so excited.. long story short I use to play video games a lot.. then drugs came into the picture.. 6 months clean today I moved down to Florida getting my life together. (Sold my last Xbox for money) now have a Xbox series x and I've been getting into video games again and I gotta say I am beyond excited to start this game today. Just bought it a half hour ago..
I've just restarted playing the game a few days ago and you gotta say it's still by far the best open world game. Hogwarts Legacy did a good job but had its flaws. It's been more than 4 years and it's still jaw-dropping. Visually and in terms of gameplay, mechanics and storytelling. The only game i can see reach that level in the next few years is the next GTA. I don't trust anyone but Rockstar to deliver in that way
Visually? Personally I'd give that to Horizon Forbidden West. FW is the best looking open world game I've ever played though it does have the advantage of being 4 years older than RDR2 and it's also a cross gen game.
I'm back playing this game. I bought it when it first came out and thought it was too slow. Fast forward five plus years, and now I have a baby, I'm appreciating the slow paced gameplay much more now. The main quests I neglect for days on end. 😂 the side quests and collectables are just fun.
Bro similar story here. I got it for Christmas in 2018 but didn't play games too much back then so I only completed a small part of it. Just bought it again a few months ago and beat it. Best game I've ever played
I have played this game twice. To two times I did not finish it. Now I understand why. I wanted to rush through the game like a fool without enjoying anything at all. This is a game you should play quietly, enjoy the setting and try to really play fully. I'm going to start my third time now.
This game is an absolute masterpiece and still one of the most beautifull games to! It was only at the 3rth time i fell in love with it, at first i could'nt get used to the slow pace style cause i was used to games like COD. But damn, i'm so happy I played this masterpiece? for those who feel the same... please get trough the first houres and thank me later !
Just got started with this game and so far absolutely amazed. Even the sound effects are sooo good, the guns sound so satisfying to shoot and realistic. Love it!
just brought this game again on xbox store as it's on sale for £18.14. What a game man, still love it, and with the crap being released lately, i'm in for a slow well thought out story and gameplay that puts all the new stuff to shame.
I played online for a while with a family member, but it lost me long ago and sadly the campaign didn't get a chance before it got backlogged in my library. Once the first snowfall hits is when a majority of my gaming takes place. Not being overly excited about recent releases, I've reinstalled this game and reserved the campaign for my next gaming experience. I've got more than enough hardware grunt to experience it in all its 4K max settings glory I've heard about. Fished out a handful of videos like this to solidify that choice.
Yes! You should absolutely buy RDR 2 no matter what year it is. I have been playing it for about two years now and am 97% through. I have finished the story but still have stuff to find south of Blackwater. I was in no rush to complete this game and have had breaks over the last two years. I wanted it to last as long as possible as it will be years before RDR 3 comes out. I have tried to do everything there is to do and find all the collectables which I am proud to say I have nearly achieved without the use of any guides or googling. I have put around 2000 hours in to the game so far and from the start I have been using the in-game camera to capture glorious images of the world and many action scenes along with all the missions. I have nearly 9,000 images so far and plan to put them in a video when I complete the game with music from the RDR 2 album playing throughout the video. My current guess if I display each image for 4 seconds with a fade in and out means the end video will be around 16 hours long which I will have to split in two videos due to RUclipss upload limit of 12 hours. I am guessing nobody has made a video like this of RDR 2 so it will be my tribute to what is in my opinion the greatest video game ever made. I hope to finish the game and have the two videos made and uploaded sometime in 2025 so keep an eye on my channel if that's something you'd enjoy watching. 🤠
For years i thought gow deserved goty award back in 2018. but recently i changed my mind. this game is a 10/10 even after 5 years. this is a masterpiece and it s a shame that rockstar didn t focused too much on rdo.
The game is a masterpiece. I just bought the ultimate edition yesterday because it was on sale. I hope online stays active because this game has sooooo much potential still!
Rdr2 is a perfect game. Even 5 years after its release, it looks way better than 90% of modern games. It has story, content, immersion, and tiny little details. It’s one of the best games ever created, not because of nostalgia or loyalty to the franchise. It’s just genuinely an awesome game.
Just started in 2024 and Im very impressed. Started Assassins Creed Valhalla before, so you know.. snow and horses and open world and quite a lot of story and talking, but there I am bored and here I am invested. So I look forward to exploring

I truly encourage everyone to play it 100percent. I've played the story like 4-5times, last year i played it 100percent, there were alot of things i never did/see when just playing the story. Even hunting all the animals didn't feel like a grind and was relaxing at times. I just need the 70gold medals for the platinum trophy but that will be a grind.

I wana say thank you for encapsulating my entire thoughts and feelings about this game. I mean, literally everything you said! I absolutely love this game.
Nothing in this world is perfect but this game stands alone at the top of games. Also, I grew up watching cowboy movies like good bad and the ugly and the story for this game is just as good as the classics.
This is why we can have high hopes for gta 6, rockstar refuses to do less than they have before. I’m happy they don’t tilt to their market/fan base and release it early. It will be well worth it if they care about it as much as they did with this gem
Bravo. Great review. The lack of DLC in RDR2 will never stop breaking my heart. With RDR3 such an achingly long time away it's far from too late though. We should organize a push for RDR 2 DLC like the world of gaming has never seen before making it impossible for Rockstar to ignore.
I just bought it for the first time and steam. I remember loving the first game. But so far this game is absolutely crazy in Comparison to the first one.
Played my fist two hours today. Got worried when my white shirt got all bloody and didn't clean itself. Not really sure yet whether I appreciate all the necessary mechanics but at least it is something new after far cry type games.
I played this on ps4 when it first came out just started a play through on my pc to try that sweet 60 fps smoothness. Haven’t played it since it first came out. Just got for 19 bucks on steam sale
I can’t do first person in a rockstar game, it gives me motion sickness, that goes with vr as well. As much as I know I’d love it, the feeling of nausea is too much.
I check the interwebs regurlarly for news about a next gen version to no avail. I would gladly even pay for it. I haven't finished the story yet because the online swept me away. I've been wanting to return to it or perhaps even start it from the beginning again, but after playing other games at 60-120 fps, I just cannot return to 30 fps. Rock⭐ has shot it self in the leg for not giving us even a 60 fps update - I'm betting they would have profited in doing so. One of the best games ever made.
I’m playing this in 2023 and absolutely loving it, it’s brilliant! The pace is extremely slow which is the first time I’m playing something so slow, which is an issue considering limited gaming time, but looking at the beautiful world, Misty mornings, heavy rainfall and lightning, the lovely snow capped peaks, just everything is so so beautiful. Still haven’t figured out all the mechanics cause there’s just so many of them and in addition I keep getting side tracked 😂
This is the game I fall back on , just incredible , wondering its vast world discovering crazy little details. I've ever witnessed a cat hunt down and capture a rat . No other game comes close .
I haven't even played it yet but I'm sure I will agree with you about the Best game because I've played the first one on the 360 and absolutely loved it. Even though I just purchased a PlayStation 4 today and the game, I'm sure it's going to be great. I gave up gaming for years now because I looked back thinking how much time I wasted doing nothing more or less and got into drones. Now winter is coming and I'll be playing this. Thanks for the video.
Im trying to get into doing the story the pace is extremely slow but the game is Definitely great. Just not my type of slow pace. I just like playing games to have fun and compete not live within the game to escape life like alot of people do i think thats why.
Great Review easily one of the best open Worlds ans story games of all time. Kingdom come Is another great one that game out the same year only game that comes close to RDR2 in terms of a living breathing world both are equally as immersive.
I have yet to play red dead 2. Not because I didn't want to the moment it came out. But because I never bought a PS4. I have a new PS5, and this and Infamous second son will be my first games.( Aside from all rock star games, I love the infamous series). In a way, I am glad that I never had a 4 because I have a slew of games to catch up on. Die Hard Rockstar fan... and i'm loving your videos. New subscriber here
Great game but the fact it was released 5 years ago, the ps5 and series x were released almost 3 years ago and Rockstar still hasn’t released a 60Hz patch for the new consoles is a disgrace. They’ll probably rerelease the game with 60Hz and call it a remaster.
The greatest compliment I can give this game is that often I opt not to take the fast travel option, for the sheer scenic and immersive adventure of each trip.
I have more than 1 thousand hours in this game, 4 playthroughs, and still haven't 100 percent the game. But I don't want to, because then I will have truly beaten the game. Greatest video game experience ever.

@blitzball4lyfe823 eight times through and I still can't bring myself to do a low honor playthrough. It's called Redemption for a reason imo lol
When it came out
I was working onboard a ship
I took a week off on the sick
(strange coincidence)
And had probably the best gaming experience of my life
Just the best game..
What a quality review sir
Makes one want to play it all over again
I did the same with ghost of tsushima.
Lied and said I had a wedding overseas. Best 2 weeks of my life 😂😂😂
I revisit this game once a year or so, have played through all the way probably four or five times, gotten 100% a couple times. Every time I play it, I wish Arthur could have had another ending, while also knowing that the game wouldn't have anywhere near the impact or gravitas that it does, if he did.
RDRII is way ahead of it's time, there's so much detail and care put into it that rivals and surpasses even 2023's most recent releases.
Nothing beats exploring the map and free roaming for the first time in this game. Probably the best game I've ever played.
It's funny because my first time free roaming I got ambushed with dynamite like the first 15 sec I got jumpscared 😂
Nothing compares at all as of right now, not even close. In a way it still feels like the first time every time, that’s how alive and detailed the game is.
What about elden ring u like it or u played it ?
As much as I’ve loved playing gta v over the years, I wish they would have added more heists in the game, that’s really my only criticism of it.
Just purchased the Ultimate Edition for 30 bones. I’ve been hearing for years I should try it. Here’s to a good game🤞🏼!
Most alive game I’ve ever played currently replaying right now and I’m loving it. Just beat hogwarts legacy but I needed that rpg game fix so RDR2 it is glad I made that choice
rockstar needs to hire this man i have the game but after watching this i went on and started a new game
Just picked it up on a sale. Internet went out, got a good story. Definitely a dang good tv show during cutscenes.
Started playing a couple of weeks ago, and 65 hours later still on level 2, and loving it. I play mostly first person, but not on horse back, I play on a PC and I find it a little difficult to control the movement. Other than that it`s a terrific game.
That’s awesome Kev! Hopefully you’ll get another enjoyable 65 hours out of it!
@@Respawnedgaming Thank you ;)
Wonderfully smart organic commentary to accompany the random & well engineered nature of this experience! Your passion for this adventure goes beautifully with the excellent & well thought out captured game-play, augmenting every key point. Quite enjoyable & one of your better profiles on a special game like this diamond from Rockstar!
Thanks very much! I just took a little time to check your channel out - love your natural video style! Great stuff.
@Respawned Thank you, a mutual feeling my friend.
Great voice, great narrating, great editing and great video after all! You're awesome man!
I would've had another playthru if they had done it.
does this happen just regularly in the story mode free roam or does this happen online? the bandits robbing part
@@LUUWILLalso happens in online
I’ve just never really been into the wild West setting. I’ve beat the first red dead redemption along time ago. It was OK but if the 2nd one is as big as they say and submersive idk if it will keep me engaged
I'm so excited.. long story short I use to play video games a lot.. then drugs came into the picture.. 6 months clean today I moved down to Florida getting my life together. (Sold my last Xbox for money) now have a Xbox series x and I've been getting into video games again and I gotta say I am beyond excited to start this game today. Just bought it a half hour ago..
The SX and Ps5 play the game at 1440p at 60 fps from the original 1080p at 30 fps .
Have fun .
I don't trust anyone but Rockstar to deliver in that way
Hogwarts legacy isnt even close to being a good or big rpg.
The only other open world game that can match or even surpasses RDR2 is The Witcher 3 in my opinion.
Visually? Personally I'd give that to Horizon Forbidden West. FW is the best looking open world game I've ever played though it does have the advantage of being 4 years older than RDR2 and it's also a cross gen game.
About to start a new play through. Amazing experience.
Yes, I think one has to be appreciative of things like nature and slowing down to find joy in the simpler things... to really enjoy this game
Beautiful done. You took the words right outta my brain. Subbed and getting RDR2 again.
I have played this game twice. To two times I did not finish it. Now I understand why. I wanted to rush through the game like a fool without enjoying anything at all. This is a game you should play quietly, enjoy the setting and try to really play fully. I'm going to start my third time now.
Finally bit the bullet and got this game after a long time on my radar after seeing it on sale. Only on chapter 3 but its an absolute blast.
I got it only a few weeks ago ( 2024 ) absolute masterclass, a real must play in your lifetime
The greatest game ever made. so much detail. so much character development. so many twists.
Love it!
I just started playing yesterday also! :)
is it worth it to buy ultimate version ?
Which version should I get
I love the intro man, it’s so true and said soo well
Does anyone know the name of the music piece that plays at the end at around 12:18?
I'm currently playing this game for the third time and love to just trot around the world. OUTSTANDING GAME!
just brought this game again on xbox store as it's on sale for £18.14.
I literally just started my second play through today. I lost all my progress on from my ps4 so starting over on my ps5.
Enjoy my friend!
Doesn’t it suck that they only offer a ps4 version of it, i want to play a ps5 version of it on my ps5 not the ps4 version so lame smh
@@iitzjay47 Yes, this game strongly deserves a 60fps PS5 update, but it's no secret that Rockstar abandonned it for GTAVI
Downloading now on PC. 80%...lets go! :)
RDR2 is by far my most played game over the last few years and I keep finding new things almost every time I play. I couldn't recommend it more.
The game is a masterpiece. I just bought the ultimate edition yesterday because it was on sale. I hope online stays active because this game has sooooo much potential still!
RDR2 is one those those relaxing games you can just chill with for a while. Take in the environment and have some action play now and then.
Never played ANY rockstar games. Never really wanted to. This video was excellent, and the narration and explanations were top tier. Rockstar, get this man on the marketing team jesus christ. Games on sale and im gonna get it. Thank you Respawned!

I have this game but this is the first overview I've watched about it. Not played it yet. Looks cool. I might give it a go. Thanks for the overview mate. Cheers.
I wana say thank you for encapsulating my entire thoughts and feelings about this game. I mean, literally everything you said! I absolutely love this game.
Love this game. I have to remind myself to move forward, but Im toobusy catching horses, upgrading weapons and hunting. Outstanding!
I am going to my dad's, and your video is so good that I hoped by dad was late so I could watch the whole thing!
Thanks man!
Nothing in this world is perfect but this game stands alone at the top of games. Also, I grew up watching cowboy movies like good bad and the ugly and the story for this game is just as good as the classics.
its my buy in 2024 and im loving it
This is why we can have high hopes for gta 6, rockstar refuses to do less than they have before. I’m happy they don’t tilt to their market/fan base and release it early. It will be well worth it if they care about it as much as they did with this gem
Yeah for Real I respect Rockstar they have many years inbetween releases but it’s always worth it, because each game is made with years of work
What’s the graphics settings you been using? It looks really sharp and detailed (already got the HDR settings to Game on my ps5)
Getting side tracked in this game is the best kind of side tracked =)
This is the game I fall back on , just incredible , wondering its vast world discovering crazy little details. I've ever witnessed a cat hunt down and capture a rat . No other game comes close .
I’ve never really wanted to buy the game, but now after this review and Christmas coming up, I believe I will indulge into this adventure!
yeah you really should its really cheap now on steam and epic games
GTA = McDonald's
Red Dead Redemption = a properly made filet mignon
Gta is goated stop YAPPING BOY
I haven't even played it yet but I'm sure I will agree with you about the Best game because I've played the first one on the 360 and absolutely loved it. Even though I just purchased a PlayStation 4 today and the game, I'm sure it's going to be great. I gave up gaming for years now because I looked back thinking how much time I wasted doing nothing more or less and got into drones. Now winter is coming and I'll be playing this. Thanks for the video.
Every gamer in their lifetime should play this game
Yes I agree and I must say that RDR2 made the pandemic bearable.
It’s mad that the game hasn’t even got a 60fps patch on ps5 yet
I just got this game ultimate edition on ps for 30 bucks hand down one of the best games out I honestly can't believe I waited so long
Right it's definitely top 5 best games ever created. It's a technical marvel and the level of immersion is incredible
Im trying to get into doing the story the pace is extremely slow but the game is Definitely great. Just not my type of slow pace. I just like playing games to have fun and compete not live within the game to escape life like alot of people do i think thats why.
I’m going to play this masterpiece next week for the first time!

Great Review easily one of the best open Worlds ans story games of all time. Kingdom come Is another great one that game out the same year only game that comes close to RDR2 in terms of a living breathing world both are equally as immersive.
It’s the greatest game ever made. Probably one of the best creations of entertainment across all media.
Best game of all time ! 5 years in and nothing comes close to this
I have yet to play red dead 2. New subscriber here
LOL the family guy bit had me spitting out my cereal 😂
well done sir, superb review.! love the passion.
Is there any noticeable visual upgrade from ps4 to ps5? I never had a pro but man do i appreciate the views now lol
Great game but the fact it was released 5 years ago, the ps5 and series x were released almost 3 years ago and Rockstar still hasn’t released a 60Hz patch for the new consoles is a disgrace. They’ll probably rerelease the game with 60Hz and call it a remaster.
Just picked it up on steam for $25. Can’t wait to finally check it out.
Just pirate it, for legal concerns this is a joke
As a John Wayne and Clint Eastwood western fan my entire life, this game tickles every part of me.
The greatest compliment I can give this game is that often I opt not to take the fast travel option, for the sheer scenic and immersive adventure of each trip.
Same here. There's no other game like it
It is one of the "must have" games along with The Witcher 3
