I had a blast with Greedfall! I jumped into the game about a year after its release. It's like this cool RPG that's always flirting with AAA greatness but somehow does a little dance move and falls short at every turn. Still...I played it twice and the DLC. I had fun and that is all that really matters to me. I'm a few months late to this video. Thank you for sharing your review!
I absolutely loved this game. I wanted to explore the world forever. I found the world-building and characters much more engaging than most other generic medieval Europe fantasy settings. I loved the factions, the characters, the clothes, the weapons, the music. I actually enjoyed this game more than I did Skyrim....
I've barely scratched the surface of this game having just reached new sereen but I'm already deeply interested by the nauts, theleme, the bridge alliance and the merchant congregation
@@facewipe27 Dude I quit Skyrim because I got bored and frustrated with how buggy it is. Also didn't find the setting that unique or interesting. But hey, that's just my opinion.
I remember playing the game back in 2020~21 and you hit about the same thoughts I had of it. Though my playthrough certainly didnt have nearly as many of the aforementioned bugs lol. But in terms of writing, that is Greedfalls biggest weakness as it becomes rather heavy handed on its message the more you play through it and deal with the different factions
bought this game for a friend off his steam wishlist SOLELY because of this review and the 'shimmies' at 0:46 - 0:50. thank you very much for this video.
Love the combat of Greedfall but the repetitive nature of the journey and the amount copy/pasted inside the buildings is disappointing. They have a great idea but I imagine they have a budget constraint so they can't realize their vision to their full potential. This is a studio that needs a big backing to execute. Unfortunately, I don't think the sequel will be much different. Maybe some improvement here and their but the budget of the game will show again.
Lol it really does have that AA vibe. At first you go “Oooh this is kind of impressive “ then you walk into one of the two barns/warehouses they designed that has a single table or barrel in it and one of 5 npcs
I have played GreedFall for 928 hours. It is addictive. The story is excellent, the characters are interesting and the graphics are awesome. The first time I looked over a cliff I had vertigo. I still recommend the original GreedFall.
Great timing on this review, I just decided to try this game since I've had it in my PS+ library for a while. I just played the opening tutorial. Doesn't seem like the usual kind of game I'd play but it looks like it has its charms so I want to give it a fair shot.
I laughed out loud at the " hard being stealthy with a platoon" part, right when you perfectly pans over to the actual group. That was good, very well done and I am going to watch some more of your videos and maybe a new sub?
For someone who only played this game for a couple hours. This video came off as someone listing problems with the game for 10 mins then, saying “But, I still like it
I would say dont sleep on the side quests. Yes, soms start off basic fetch quests and detective work. But man, one time I was playing a side quest and I find out a mad doctor was testing on Vasco people, not natives, but actually dissecting them to get their secrets. It was crazy!

I gave this game a good shot in 2024 but couldn’t finish it, it eventually felt like a chore going through the same landscape and fighting the same monsters over and over . It’s a shame because the story seemed interesting 😢
I really wanted to love this game. Gorgeous (minus the small handful of visual glitches) and very engrossing worldbuilding. I liked the politicking - but so much of it felt like choice with no difference in outcome. Keep wanting to come back to it but just can't. its like it tried to be DA:I and bloodborne at the same time, but was short of success at either
Only thing I didn't like about Greedfall was the linear world (not plot mind you). If this was an open world game it would be in my top 10 of all time.
Loved it but from all the sliders games (i have played them all) and given the fact that I'm completely ok with a bit more of a clunky combat i absolutely loved technomancer. Great RPG systems and quests, lot's of replay value aswell.
I last played it many years ago but am doing a second playthrough now- still going to make the same “good” choices because it’s been so long. But I played as a woman last time and a male this time, also romancing someone different. I never played the dlc though so will do this this time.
I got stat checked in 2 different quests n dont have any others to do im pretty sure and theres no enemies to farm for levels n therefore i cant progress n quit the game last year. I wanna come back but i dunno
How is the performance of the game in 2023? I have an RTX 3060 ti and a i5-11600KF. Game would be installed on an M2 SSD. I can live with the game not always sitting at 144 FPS, but I'm quite allergic to stuttering. How smooth is the game?
